Jamie Bell
Jamie Bell To Star In WWII Thriller ‘Dynamite Room’ From ‘Beast’ & ‘Under The Shadow’ Producers, Altitude Launches Sales — Cannes
Jamie Bell
Exclusive: Jamie Bell is set to star in World War II thriller Dynamite Room from the producers of Beast and Under The Shadow.

Fresh off acclaimed performances in Toronto drama Skin and Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool and ahead of a key role in Elton John biopic Rocketman, Bell will star in the Olly Blackburn-directed feature, which Altitude will launch for the Cannes Marché.

Set during July 1940, the story opens with 12-year-old evacuee Lydia walking through a village in rural England on a baking hot day. She is wearing a gas mask. The shops and houses are empty, windows boarded up and the village seemingly deserted. Leaving it behind, she arrives at a large house by the marshes – the house she grew up in. Lydia finds it empty too and her family gone.

Late that night comes Heiden (Bell), a soldier, gun in hand and heralding a full-blown German invasion.

DVD Review: Blood Out
Blood Out

Stars: Luke Goss, Tamer Hassan, Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, Vinnie Jones, Val Kilmer | Written by Jason Hewitt, John A. O’Connell | Directed by Jason Hewitt

Blood Out – Mexican Mafia Motto: To blood out is a requirement to leave a gang. To join, “blood in”, you must kill someone. The only way to leave, “blood out”, is to be killed yourself.

When his brother is killed for trying to leave the gang in which he was a member, small-town Deputy Sheriff Michael Savion (Goss) drops everything, including his badge, leaves Baltimore, gets a full body tattoo in an attempt to look like a street thug (and not a pretty boy) and goes undercover to find out who killed his drug-dealing brother and avenge his death. However Savion’s penchant for violence sees him swiftly rising through the gangs ranks until it all goes tits up – as usual – and he must...

Blood Out DVD Review
It's been obvious for some time that Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson really, really, really wants a movie career.  Starting all the way back in 2005-- where the rapper-turned-thespain debuted in Get Rich or Die Tryin' (a poor attempt to recreate Eminem's success with 8 Mile)-- Jackson's been doing his damndest to be accepted as an actor...with very few results that one might deem "successful".  Since Get Rich, Jackson has starred in about 10 different films, and none of them have been memorable.  Would he break that run with Jason Hewitt's Blood Out, where he co-stars with Val Kilmer?  Or would Blood Out be just another Righteous Kill?  Find out after the break, folks... For whatever reason, musicians always want to be actors, actors always want to be musicians, comedians always want to do drama, and "real" actors always want to be considered funny.  The reasons behind these not-so-secret urges are...

Whips, Leather & Chains! AnnaLynne McCord Gets Naughty In An S&M Scene For Her New Movie!
Check out this exclusive clip of AnnaLynne McCord embracing her wild side in a new movie full of action, excitement — and even some bondage!

AnnaLynne McCord traded in Beverly Hills, for her new role as a leather-clad action harlot in the Lionsgate Home Entertainment movie Blood Out. AnnaLynne stars alongside Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson in a high-adrenaline film about a man who goes undercover to avenge the death of his brother.

“I walked up to her, and handed her a whip and said, ‘do whatever it is you’re comfortable with’ and she said, ‘don’t worry I’ve got it,’” director Jason Hewitt said about AnnaLynne’s scandalous scene.

AnnaLynne gives S&M enthusiast Rihanna a run for her money as provocateur Anya in the film, and the starlet even admitted that most of the leather costumes she wore in the movie came from her personal wardrobe! The 90210 star seemed...

Val Kilmer and 50 Cent Join Forces Once Again for Jason Hewitt’s Blood Out
It’s good to know that Val Kilmer has someone in his corner, a newfound hetero companion that will help him find decent work when all he can get is “The Traveler”. After starring together in both “Streets of Blood” and “Gun”, best friends forever Val Kilmer and 50 Cent are back in the cinematic saddle once again. Writer/director Jason Hewitt’s crime drama “Blood Out” finds the duo delivering some direct-to-video thrills alongside such Stv veterans as Luke Goss and Vinnie Jones. And while many are quick to piss all over their flicks, I happen to enjoy both Goss and Jones as actors, even when the films they choose to appear in are just this side of absolutely worthless. That may sound harsh, but even those guys know that their films are, at times, nearly unwatchable. “Blood Out” should hit DVD and Blu-ray on April 26th, 2011. In the meantime,...

Ensemble assembles for 'Burning Palms'
Zoe Saldaña
New York -- Dylan McDermott, Zoe Saldana, Lake Bell, Nick Stahl, Paz Vega and Shannen Doherty are about to set Los Angeles on fire.

They're heading into "Burning Palms," writer-director Christopher Landon's satire of Angeleno stereotypes as told through five interlacing stories.

The large ensemble cast also includes Adriana Barraza, Colleen Camp, Jamie Chung, Robert Hoffman, Peter Macdissi, Emily Meade, Anson Mount, Rosamund Pike, Austin Williams and Tom Wright. Each of their characters confronts taboos and an uncertain, often darkly humorous fate.

Oren Segal, Steven Prince and Jason Hewitt are producing the indie feature with exec producers Tyler Thompson, Vince Morella and Naz Jafri. Landon ("Disturbia"), who recently wrote "The Flock" for Warners, makes his directorial debut with "Palms."

"It's kind of like a John Waters version of 'Short Cuts,' " Segal said. The segments are based on popular stereotypes of West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks, Westwood and Holmby Hills.
