‘Love Is Blind’ Season 8 Trailer: Netflix Teases Prenups and Proposals in Minnesota Edition
Image
Netflix has released the trailer for Season 8 of “Love Is Blind,” which this year celebrates its fifth anniversary on the streamer. The new season, which takes place in Minneapolis-Saint Paul, Minn., premieres on Valentine’s Day.

“Love Is Blind,” which has spawned multiple international spinoffs since its 2020 debut, puts singles through a series of literally blind dates while encased in “pods,” which are modular lounges that allow the prospective lovers to hear but not see the person they are courting. Those who spark a connection can propose to the person of their choice, and if it’s a yes, the couple will meet face-to-face for the first time. In the weeks that follow, the couples go out into the real world to test if their love holds true. At the end of the show, the fiancés will have the choice to seal their relationships with marriage or go their separate ways.

Love Is Blind is celebrating its fifth anniversary with a two-season renewal.

It comes ahead of the launch of season 8 of the show, which comes from Kinetic Content.

Over several weeks, the newly engaged couples will move in together, plan their wedding, and find out if their physical connection matches their strong emotional bond developed in the pods. ‘Love Is Blind’ Renewed Through Season 10 at Netflix
Image
The quest to find love, sight unseen, continues as Netflix has renewed “Love Is Blind” through Season 10.

The Emmy-nominated reality series that gained popularity during the Covid-19 pandemic has captivated audiences for five years now. Season 8’s premiere will mark the franchise’s fifth anniversary.

This Valentine’s Day, a new batch of hopeful singles from Minneapolis will test out the love experiment and discover for themselves if love is truly blind. Thirty contestants will meet potential partners in the pods and decide if they want to pursue a marriage with their love interest before ever meeting them face-to-face.

In December two Hollywood power lawyers, Mark Geragos and Bryan Freedman, filed a complaint against the production companies behind “Love Is Blind,” Delirium TV and Kinetic Content, alleging contestants should be classified as employees and that the companies committed several labor violations.

Freedman told TheWrap that he and Geragos had been...

So, What’s the Deal with the Elevator in ‘The Big Bang Theory’?
Image
The Big Bang Theory was one of the biggest sitcoms on television through the 2000s and 2010s. Airing for 12 seasons from 2007 through 2019, the show spawned a prequel spin-off, Young Sheldon, which led to its own sequel spin-off, Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage.

Running gags were par for the course in The Big Bang Theory, and one of these was the elevator in the building where Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), and Penny (Kaley Cuoco) lived. It was always out of service, resulting in the residents having to travel on multiple flights of stairs to get to and from their apartments. However, there’s an interesting backstory to the elevator in The Big Bang Theory and a surprisingly deep meaning as a plot device.

The History of the Elevator and Cause of Its Malfunction

As noted, from the very first episode, the elevator in the building was out of service.

Chuck Lorre’s New The Big Bang Theory Spinoff Should Bring Back One Beloved Goofball Character That Only Appeared in 11 Episodes
Image
The new spin-off of Chuck Lorre’s The Big Bang Theory has left fans anticipating what characters will potentially return in the new season after the showrunner extended Sheldon’s story in a prequel spin-off. With the news of a new spin-off fans of the show have shared their hopes for revisiting familiar faces.

Among the many beloved characters, one who truly deserves a comeback in the spin-off is Penny’s ex, Zack Johnson. The gullible yet endearing character, often portrayed as intellectually inferior to the main group, and even Penny at times, would be a fantastic addition to the new series.

Mark Hamill Has Just One Regret About His ‘Big Bang Theory’ Role
Image
Arguably one of the most popular and transcending television knockouts of the 21st century is without-a-doubt the sidesplitting sitcom The Big Bang Theory, which ran for 12 seasons and famously followed the personal and professional lives of a lovable group of nerds in Pasadena, California. The smash hit series featured countless pop culture references and unforgettable cameos throughout its run.

Star Wars legend Mark Hamill made a brilliant and unexpected appearance in the comedy, delighting not only the sci-fi-loving gang but also devoted fans of the show, and his cameo was undeniably one of the most prominent and meaningful. “He’s just a chill guy”: The Big Bang Theory Fans Reveal 5 Side Characters Chuck Lorre Should’ve Given More Screen Time
Image
Like many sitcoms of its kind, The Big Bang Theory was no stranger to guest appearances, and a good amount of them left a notable impact on the fanbase. While it’s hard to imagine the sitcom without its main cast, which involves Sheldon, Penny, Leonard, Raj, and Howard, this didn’t stop some other less trivial characters from making a splash.

In some cases, a few of them left an indelible mark on the fanbase, which left them salivating for more of their appearances, especially these five figures.

Kaley Cuoco Was Disappointed by Penny’s ‘Big Bang Theory’ Ending
Image
When it comes to ending popular, long-running TV shows, it's impossible for showrunners to please all of their fans. With the masses calling for a reshoot after finally seeing who took the crown in the final episode of Game of Thrones and public outcry over the controversial How I Met Your Mother ending that undid years of character development, the last moments can clearly make or break a series. CBS's hit sitcom The Big Bang Theory unfortunately fell short of expectations for one of its beloved characters.

After 12 seasons of nerdy hijinks, endearing social-awkwardness, and endless laughs, the comedy wrapped up with its series finale, "The Stockholm Syndrome," in 2019. The episode culminates with Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Amy's (Mayim Bialik) Nobel Prize win in Physics, Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Howard (Simon Helberg) getting away from the kids for the first time, Raj's (Kunal Nayyar) break-up with Anu (Rati Gupta...

How Much Did Kaley Cuoco Make for Each 'Big Bang Theory' Episode?
Image
The Big Bang Theory is one of the best and most popular sitcoms of modern television. The geeky, Pasadena version of Friends or Seinfeld, this series follows a group of nerdy, socially awkward friends and coworkers -- and their one really hot friend across the hall. We're talking, of course, about Penny, the waitress and aspiring actress who's played by Kaley Cuoco. The Big Bang Theory ran for an impressive 12 seasons, an eternity in TV land, running from 2007 to 2019. (What would Sheldon have thought about the Covid-19 pandemic? We wonder).

The show's tremendous success birthed an entire franchise, which includes the prequel series Young Sheldon and its spin-off series about Sheldon's older brother, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage. A fourth series is reportedly in development for Max, which will thrust supporting character Stuart into the spotlight and will follow him, his girlfriend Denise, and geologist Bert Kibbler.

10 Best TV Show Grinches Who Don't Like Christmas
Image
Warning: This article mentions eating disorders.

There are plenty of TV show characters who prove themselves to be absolute Grinches, as in characters who don't like Christmas at all even if they technically observe it. The best Christmas episodes from great TV shows are typically full of joy and feature heartwarming storylines, but sometimes, there is a character who spoils all the fun for everybody else. These characters typically voice their hatred of the festive season at any given opportunity, but some simply demonstrate it through their actions and dialogue.

A lot of Christmas TV episodes that are surprisingly dark focus on why a character may struggle with the occasion, although this doesn’t always justify their behavior. Regardless of the characters' religious beliefs or upbringing, holiday episodes in TV shows usually see characters coming together for celebrations. However, some "Grinches" in TV shows simply don’t enjoy Christmas.

The Best ‘Big Bang Theory’ Christmas Episode Is Also the Series' Best
Image
The sitcom genre is undoubtedly saturated. However, only a selected few carry the charm and humor that is truly able to engross a viewer. Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady's The Big Bang Theory, which made its debut almost two decades ago, is one such sitcom that has made its mark on the genre thanks to its heartfelt storytelling and endearing characters. The show follows its characters through multiple phases of their lives, and, in the span of its impressive 12 seasons and 279 episodes, has been able to immerse audiences into the lives of the Pasadena crew.

While The Big Bang Theory has many exceptional episodes, its holiday-themed episodes are some of the series' most special. The show has a unique way of blending festive cheer with sentimentality and heart, bringing the quirky characteristics of Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard to the fore. Season 2, Episode 11, titled "The Bath Item Gift Hypothesis,...

The Worst Episode Of The Big Bang Theory, According To IMDb
Image
"The Big Bang Theory" spans 12 seasons and the same number of years, so we have to face some facts here: some of the episodes are bound to be total stinkers. Certainly, a few episodes in "The Big Bang Theory's" storied history can compete for the absolute worst spot of them all, but what is the worst of the worst according to fans? We just have to look at IMDb ratings to find that out.

Chuck Lorre's massively popular, Emmy-winning sitcom — which stars Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Kaley Cuoco, Mayim Bialik, and Melissa Rauch as Sheldon Cooper, Leonard Hofstadter, Howard Wolowitz, Raj Koothrappali, Penny Hofstadter, Amy Farrah Fowler, and Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz, respectively — focused on the personal lives of scientists (and Penny), including all of their ups and downs. Apparently, fans think that one episode in the show's ninth season is the absolute worst; I should note,...

10 The Big Bang Theory Characters Who Need To Return In Stuarts Spinoff
Image
The Big Bang Theory is getting another spinoff series, this one led by the old gang's longtime friend Stuart Bloom (Kevin Sussman), with the potential for many more supporting characters to return. Stuart's girlfriend Denise (Lauren Lapkus) and the old group's Caltech colleague Bert (Brian Posehn) are also confirmed to be returning (via tvline.com). While Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) could also show up, there are even better story possibilities through some underrated side characters.

It is likely that some members of the main Big Bang Theory cast will reprise their roles when they are important fixtures in Stuart's life and their absence would be felt. However, over the years, Stuart meets many famous and everyday people through his comic book store and his friends' work, prompting many wacky and meaningful sitcom scenarios. Stuart's untitled Big Bang Theory spinoff might get the most out of unexpected returns,...

Question: I’m having Walking Dead withdrawal already. Help! —Nick

Ausiello: Help is on the way, Nick — literally. Ahead of Season 8’s Saviors/Scavengers-vs.-Alexandria/Hilltop/Kingdom war, AMC’s monster smash is casting two new recurring good guys: Dillon, a sexy, blue-collar twentysomething whose survival skills include sarcasm, and Abbud, an innately likable Muslim American whose nerves are, let’s say, jangled, because he’s flown solo for too long in zombieland. ‘Danny Collins’ DVD Review
Stars: Al Pacino, Annette Bening, Jennifer Garner, Bobby Cannavale, Christopher Plummer, Katarina Cas, Giselle Eisenberg, Melissa Benoist, Josh Peck, Brian Smith, Scott Lawrence | Written and Directed by Dan Fogelman

It is fair to say that Al Pacino has made some questionable decisions as to what movies he has starred in recently. With Danny Collins though he reminds us just how charming he can be, in a movie about reclaiming lost life…. Inspired by a true story, Al Pacino plays Danny Collins an aging 1970s rocker who keeps himself going through the use of coke and alcohol. When his manager and best friend Frank (Christopher Plummer) uncovers a 40-year-old undelivered letter to Danny from John Lennon, it inspires Danny to look back on his life and to his roots. In visiting his home town though and seeking out his family, he may not like what he finds.

There is no doubt...

Lou Diamond Phillips in Longmire (2012)
Everyone loves Lou Diamond Phillips right? Well, everyone does in “Lucy in the Sky with Diamond,” the short film by writer/director Joey Boukadakis. The short film takes the Tony and Golden Globe-nominated actor and turns him into a mythical version of himself, Chuck Norris-style: “‘Lucy in the Sky with Diamond’ was shot over two days in a diner in the San Fernando Valley. The film also stars John Patrick Jordan (‘American Pie,’ ‘Mad Men’) and Brian Thomas Smith (‘The Big Bang Theory,’ ‘Happy Endings’). Phillips plays a hyperbolized version of himself known as the elusive and mysterious ‘Ldp’ – a renegade, spirit guide, life coach character who attempts to help [ Read More ]

Ben Affleck wins Directors Guild Award for 'Argo'
Ben Affleck
Some people can win for losing.

Ben Affleck claimed the Directors Guild of America Award for Argo on Saturday in Hollywood’s latest thumb-in-the-eye to the small group of filmmakers in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences who failed to nominate him for an Oscar.

“I worked really, really hard to become the best director I could be, by putting in as hours as I can, and banging my head against a wall, berating myself, lying to myself about whether it’s going to work,” Affleck told the crowd, never mentioning the snub. “Basically, I got to a...

'The Big Bang Theory': Why is Leonard with Priya?
Brian Thomas Smith
Yes, she’s hot. Like, ridiculously hot. Out-of-Leonard’s-league hot. I realize this, fellow Big Bang Theory fans. But that can’t possibly be the only reason that Leonard is interested in Raj’s sister Priya, right? After spending three seasons watching Penny and Leonard’s will-they-won’t-they-wow-they-just-did-now-what?, I’ll admit I was curious, and excited, about the prospect of a new love interest for the sitcom’s (much smarter than) everyman. (Not to mention thankful for the the fact that the show’s female perspective was about to get slightly more diverse.) But then the series gave us… Priya.
