Godzilla x Kong: Supernova cast member Matthew Modine explains why he did the movie
Godzilla and King Ghidorah in Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019)
More than a decade has passed since Legendary Pictures secured the rights to Godzilla and other characters owned and created by the Japanese company Toho so they could launch a cinematic universe they call the MonsterVerse – and they also secured the rights to the King Kong character so he could be part of their MonsterVerse as well. Things got started with Godzilla in 2014, and since then the universe has expanded with Kong: Skull Island, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong, the animated series Skull Island, the live-action series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. A third Godzilla / Kong mash-up is now on the way – and a couple of months ago, Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. officially announced that filming is underway, unveiling an ominous teaser, revealing that the film is aiming for a March 26, 2027 theatrical release, and giving it a title – Godzilla x Kong: Supernova.

‘Godzilla x Kong: Supernova’ Star Shares Surprising First Comments About the Sequel [Exclusive]
Image
The MonsterVerse just got a little more delightful thanks to Matthew Modine, who offered fans a playful behind-the-scenes peek at the making of Godzilla x Kong: Supernova during a panel at FanX's Tampa Bay Comic Convention this weekend. Appearing alongside Stranger Things co-star David Harbour, Modine couldn’t resist sharing his own brand of kaiju-induced existential comedy with Collider's Maggie Lovitt — and yes, it turns out he joined the movie for one very wholesome reason. “I just worked in Godzilla x King Kong: Supernova,” Modine said with a grin. “That was pretty exciting. Oh, to work with Godzilla.”

The Oscar-nominated actor — who joins a stacked cast including Kaitlyn Dever, Dan Stevens, Delroy Lindo, Alycia Debnam-Carey, and Sam Neill — reflected on what it means to be a grown-up playing pretend, especially when the co-stars you're acting opposite are skyscraper-sized monsters rendered entirely in VFX.

“When I was working on Godzilla — that...

Masters Of The Universe Star Alison Brie Suggests Live-Action Movie May Be Just As Campy As '80s Cartoon
Image
Last year, we got word that Amazon MGM and Mattel's live-action Masters of the Universe reboot had added another major cast member, with Alison Brie set to take on the role of the villainous Evil-Lyn.

As her name suggests, Evil-Lyn is a wicked and powerful sorceress who serves as Skeletor's second-in-command. Lyn was played by Meg Foster in the previous live-action movie, and was voiced by Game of Thrones alum Lena Headey in Netflix's Masters of the Universe: Revelation animated series, which added some new dimensions to the character.

Brie has some experience playing a cartoonishly evil villain thanks to her Glow character's wrestling persona, Zoya "the Destroya."

While promoting her new horror movie, Together, during an interview with Collider, Brie was asked about the perception that this take on Motu would be more serious in tone than the classic '80s animated series, and responded with the following.

Jack Nicholson and Michael Keaton in Batman (1989)
Alison Brie clears up rumors about the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie
Jack Nicholson and Michael Keaton in Batman (1989)
When it comes to the interpretation of a superhero character, some different examples to look at would be the Batman franchise. The Caped Crusader has gone through different versions in live-action — which range from the campy Adam West show to the Tim Burton gothic films, to the Joel Schumacher flamboyant camp, to the animated series’ film noir, to the Christopher Nolan serious action take, to Matt Reeves’ hyper noir. While some details have been revealed about the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie, fans anticipating the film are awaiting the approach that Travis Knight is taking for the material.

The story taking place on Earth (although done in the Dolph Lundgren version) could lend itself to either a humorous element or a more adventurous element, or even both. However, Deadline is reporting that Alison Brie, who co-stars in the movie with Nicholas Galitzine, responds to rumors that the film would take a serious tone.

Masters Of The Universe: First Look At He-Man's Power Sword And Skeletor's Havoc Staff Revealed At Sdcc
Image
"By the Power of Grayskull..."

Earlier this week, Amazon MGM unveiled the official logo for the live-action Masters of the Universe movie - which also included a new version of the '80s animated series' theme - in advance of the studio's Sdcc presentation, and some photos from the Con's Motu display have now been shared online.

There's no sign of any characters from the movie, unfortunately, but we do have a first look at He-Man's (Nicholas Galitzine) Power Sword, aka the Sword of Grayskull, and Skeletor's (Jared Leto) signature ram's-head Havoc Staff.

The sword is an important part of Motu lore, and was given to Prince Adam by the Sorceress to use as a means of transforming into Eternia's muscle-bound protector. When Adam holds aloft his magic sword and says... you know the rest!

'Masters of the Universe' Reveals He-Man's Power Sword at Sdcc
Image
“By the power of Grayskull! I have the power!” He-Man fans everywhere will be yelling those familiar lines are clapping their eyes on the latest look at Amazon’s upcoming live-action remake of Masters of the Universe. San Diego Comic-Con is now underway, with Masters of the Universe making an appearance and revealing our first proper look at a key piece of He-Man's arsenal.

Coming courtesy of DiscussingFilm, we now have our most detailed look at the Masters of the Universe remake yet. Sharing images from Sdcc, the coveted Power Sword (aka the Sword of Power or the Sword of Grayskull) is the mighty mystical weapon that enables Prince Adam to transform into He-Man. Frankly, it’s an incredible rendition of the sword from animation to live-action, and it would be impossible not to feel like you could take on Skeletor’s armies single-handed while wielding it.

Masters Of The Universe Title Reveal Video Hypes Up The Live-Action He-man Reboot
Image
We've had a couple of official shots of Nicholas Galitzine's He-Man from the new Masters of the Universe movie, and caught sight of him wearing some surprisingly normal clothes on the remake's set. Now, the logo has just been officially revealed (via Toonado.com).

Accompanied by an epic piece of music, the title reveal doesn't tell us much about what to expect, but this hopefully means we're getting a proper first look sooner rather than later.

Shooting recently wrapped on the movie that will play out on both Eternia and Earth. We're expecting this one to be very VFX-heavy, particularly when it comes to Skeletor, a character fans have high expectations for in this newest take on the property.

Whether Bumblebee director Travis Knight can do right by Eternia's greatest warrior remains to be seen. The cast will be led by Galitzine (The Idea of You) as He-Man and...

Amazon MGM Studios tease logo and main theme of Masters of the Universe
Travis Knight in ParaNorman (2012)
When doing press for Bumblebee, director Travis Knight professed to being a huge fan of the original G1 Transformers cartoon from the 80s. His fandom would come through with that movie as the designs and characters felt more in-tune with the source material than Bay’s versions. Purists of the franchise cited his vision as more faithful, and if that’s any indication, Masters of the Universe could be given the same care by Knight as the original Filmation animated series came from that same era.

Amazon MGM Studios looks to be playing their cards close to the chest as we are getting small reveals a little at a time. Nicholas Galitzine, who portrays He-Man, previously teased his look as the Prince of Eternia in an Instagram photo. Now, Amazon MGM releases a “Title Reveal,” which is a short video of the new logo, in different languages, and set to...

‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ Hit by Yet Another Delay
Image
The wait for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse just got longer. Again. Sony has decided to delay the movie once more, pushing its release back by three weeks. Instead of swinging into theaters on June 4, 2027, it’s now set for June 25, 2027.

According to Variety, Sony made the change so more kids could watch the movie during summer vacation. On the original date, only 65% of schools in the US would have been on break.

By late June, that jumps to 100%. Sony is also hoping this new date works better for international viewers.

This isn’t the first delay for the movie. In fact, fans have been dealing with delays since the film was first announced years ago. Originally, Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse was expected to release in 2024, but that date kept slipping. First to 2025. Then possibly 2026. And now finally, 2027. Even the latest delay adds to what’s become a long string of setbacks.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (2027)
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse release has been pushed back
Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse (2027)
Spidey fans will have to wait a little longer for the release of Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse, but only a little bit. Sony Pictures announced today that they have pushed the release of the Spider-Verse sequel back by three weeks, moving the film from June 4, 2027 to June 25, 2027.

According to sources, the release delay was made in order to bring in more school-aged audience members, as 100% of schools in the U.S. will be on break by the time of the new date. Some schools would have still been in session on the old date.

The Spider-Verse franchise kicked off with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which was released in 2018 to great acclaim. Fans praised the emotional story and the ground-breaking animation. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse kicked everything up another notch upon its release in 2023 and set the stage for one hell of a finale.

‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ Delays 2027 Theatrical Release By 3 Weeks
Image
Spider-Man fans will have to wait just a little bit longer to go “Beyond the Spider-Verse.” The third film in Sony’s popular web-slinging animated series has shifted its release date back by three weeks, from June 4, 2027 to June 25, 2027.

Studio insiders tell Variety the move was made to capitalize on school-aged moviegoers — 100% of schools in the U.S. will be on summer break by the new date, as opposed to only 65% on June 4. There’s hope the new date will also pay off in international markets.

“Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” is the conclusion to a trilogy that began with 2018’s “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” and continued with 2023’s “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”

Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson serve as directors for “Beyond the Spider-Verse.” The screenplay is written by “Spider-Verse” creators Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, alongside David Callaham.

Lord and Miller will also produce with Amy Pascal, Avi Arad and Jinko Gotoh.

‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ Moves to End of June 2027
Image
Miles Morales will be swinging into theaters a tad later than previously planned. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse will now bow on June 25, 2027, three weeks later than its previous June 4, 2027 date.

Insiders say the later date will be better for bringing in school-aged kids for summer break, as some schools would still be in session in early June. It’s also seen as a more appealing date internationally.

The Spider-Verse franchise is a crown jewel for Sony. 2018’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won an Oscar for best animated feature, and earned $393.6 million globally. It is still cited today as a game-changing movie thanks to its inventive, kinetic animation style. 2023’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was a hit, earning $690.5 million globally, in a demonstration of how the franchise had only gained in popularity in the five years between installments.

Beyond the Spider-Verse will arrive four years after Across the Spider-Verse ended on a cliffhanger.

‘Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse’ Release Pushed Back 3 Weeks
Image
You’ll have to wait slightly longer for the third chapter in Sony Pictures Animation’s “Spider-Verse” movie. “Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” is now set for release on June 25, 2027. This is just a three week bump from its last announced release date of June 4, 2027 — and it can’t come soon enough.

“Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse” serves as the follow-up to 2023’s “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.” The idea was for the third film to come out right after the sequel, with the first date being March 29, 2024 (less than a year later). There was then the date of June 27, 2025. Of course, due to complications with the SAG-AFTRA strikes, which pushed back voice recording, and additional production delays, the movie was pushed. Earlier this year Sony announced the 2027 date, which they have now slightly adjusted.

The date is perfect since 100% of schools will be out at end of June by that date,...

Toho Says ‘Shin Godzilla’ Sequel Still Possible in Addition to ‘Godzilla Minus One’ Follow-Up
Image
We know that Godzilla Minus One writer-director Takashi Yamazaki is developing a follow-up for as soon as next year, but that’s not the only Godzilla film on the table in Japan.

Toho International president Koji Ueda revealed to Bloomberg that there is still potential for a sequel to Shin Godzilla.

A new 4K restoration of the 2016 film is set to stomp into North American theaters on August 14 from Gkids. Perhaps a strong box office showing could help encourage Toho to move forward with another installment in addition to the Minus One follow-up.

Co-directed by Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion) and Shinji Higuchi (Attack on Titan), Shin Godzilla stars Hiroki Hasegawa, Yutaka Takenouchi, and Satomi Ishihara.

The Sequel to Dan Stevens' 89% Rotten Tomatoes Action Epic Gets a Titanic Filming Update
Image
It might still be a long way out before Godzilla x Kong: Supernova roars into theaters, but any sort of update on a MonsterVerse project is always welcome. Filming on the sixth installment of the franchise kicked off in April on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Fans even got an early look at the production when a set video depicting a disaster scene in London surfaced on social media, showing just how nicely the action was progressing. Now, three months in, the Australian leg of filming has wrapped, and production has shifted stateside in what is likely the final stretch of filming before the production segues into the post-production phase.

The latest update comes via a social media post from Ann Foley, one of the film’s costume designers. "That's a wrap on Australia. Next up, Utah," she wrote, pairing the announcement with a humorous meme of three disheveled...

According to Ann Foley (via X), who is a costume designer on the upcoming movie, production has wrapped in Australia and is now heading to Utah.Tess McLeod, another costume designer working on the movie, reshared Foley's Instagram Story on her own page, along with the added caption, "Homestretch!!!," suggesting that Utah may be the final filming destination for Supernova. Tons of A-list Hollywood names couldn’t save Expend4bles -- also known as The Expendables 4 -- from a dismal box office haul when it was released in 2023. Now, the fourth installment in the Expendables franchise featuring Jason Statham, Sylvester Stallone, and Dolph Lundgren is finding new life on streaming.

Per FlixPatrol, Expend4bles is in the No. 6 spot in Starz' Top 10 movies in the United States as of July 1, 2025. The movie is ahead of M3GAN, Imaginary, Don’t Breathe 2, and Never Let Go. 'Godzilla X Kong' Sequel Star Reveals Movie Will Address Biggest Complaint About Human Characters
Image
The upcoming Monsterverse movie Godzilla X Kong: Supernova is shaping up to be the biggest film in the franchise yet. Originally intended to serve as an exciting conclusion to the franchise, Godzilla vs. Kong (2021) ultimately reinvigorated the series, paving the way for the sequel, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. However, one constant complaint that has been levied against the series since 2014, with Gareth Edwards' Godzilla, is a lack of an engaging human narrative to pair with the intense kaiju fights. According to one actor in the upcoming film, that specific complaint will be addressed in Supernova.

In an interview with Ktvu in Oakland, Delroy Lindo, who recently made waves for his performance as Delta Slim in Ryan Coogler's Sinners, talked about his upcoming role in Godzilla X Kong: Supernova. As the actor would tell the news station, it was the production team's dedication to crafting an engaging human character...

Godzilla Getting an Official Lego Set for the First Time Ever
Image
Lego is known for transforming popular IPs into brick-building sets, but there is one colossal gap in the company's catalog that is about to get filled by a giant reptilian Titan. Godzilla will be taking on a new blocky form for the first time in its 70-year history, as Lego has announced a massive set based on Legendary's MonsterVerse designs. The concept for the product came from a fan submission to the toy manufacturer's Ideas Initiative, where creative builders are encouraged to share designs for potential approval to be turned into real sets.

The Lego Ideas submission was made by Matthew Esposito, aka MattE720, who drew inspiration from the kaiju's portrayals in Godzilla: King of Monsters, Godzilla vs. Kong and Legendary's most recent MonsterVerse feature Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire with their design. The idea reached the minimum 10,000 votes of support from the public required to make...

He-man Actor Dolph Lundgren Teases "Secret" Role In New Masters Of The Universe Movie
Image
The new live-action Masters of the Universe movie from Amazon MGM Studios recently wrapped principal photography, with several main and supporting cast members sharing behind-the-scenes photos featuring teasing glimpses of their respective costumes.

This latest take on the classic animated series/toy line features a sprawling cast and a lot of characters (some have yet to be announced), and it sounds like we may also get an appearance from the original live-action He-Man, Dolph Lundgren.

Speculation that Lundgren, who played Eternia's muscle-bound protector in the much-maligned 1987 movie, might be set to make a cameo in the reboot first began when the actor shared some social media posts mentioning a "secret" project he was working on in London early on during production, and the '80s action star was asked about the rumors during an interview with Mensjournal.com.

"It's a bit of a secret, but I can't say much,...

Did Matthew Modine Just Spoil The Godzilla X Kong: Supernova Villain?
Image
Ever since the reveal of the sixth MonsterVerse installment’s cryptic title, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, fans have been in a frenzy of speculation. The mysterious subtitle alone has ignited wild theories about which towering threat the iconic duo will face next.

One dominant fan theory suggests that Supernova hints at a menace from beyond the stars, leading many to believe the film could mark the return of a cosmic nemesis from Godzilla’s past: SpaceGodzilla.

Fueling that speculation is newcomer Matthew Modine, who recently joined the cast. Not long after his casting, Modine began sharing clips from Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla on social media.

Now, the kaiju fandom is in a debate, was this a subtle hint, an accidental spoiler, or is Modine simply having fun without realizing he may have let something big slip?

Um uh... Holy Shit? pic.twitter.com/LmPeL27KeT

Masters Of The Universe Actor Sam C. Wilson Shares Teasing Glimpse Of His Trap Jaw Look
Image
Though we've yet to see anything particularly revealing so far, Masters of the Universe supporting cast members have been sharing behind-the-scenes photos from their time working on the live-action adaptation to social media, and we now have a teasing first glimpse of Sam C. Wilson as one of He-Man's most recognizable foes, Trap Jaw.

As you can see, Wilson only posted a close-up shot of his eye, but the image does confirm that Skeletor's "Wizard of Weapons" will retain his green-skinned face (whether he'll also have the blue body remains to be seen) from the original animated series.

Trap Jaw, or Trapjaw as he was known in the subsequent animated shows, was a criminal named Kronis who arrived to Eternia from another dimension. The 2002 animated series ret-conned his origin slightly to make him an enemy of Skeletor who lost his jaw and arm in a battle with the villain...

Amazon's Masters of the Universe Live-Action Gets Exciting Filming Update 1 Year Before Release
Image
The iconic cartoon series and iconic toy line Masters of the Universe is getting a new live-action movie. The film was previously adapted into a live-action film in the 1980s, but will get a new one in 2026.

Masters of the Universe will star Nicholas Galitzine in the leading role as He-Man, and it comes from Amazon MGM Studios. The upcoming adaptation is set to tell the origin story, which can set it up for future installments. One year ahead of the film's release in theaters on June 5, 2026, Masters of the Universe has wrapped filming in the UK, The Knowledge Online reported.

Production on the live-action film began on January 6, 2025. Since filming kicked off in the UK, fans have been treated to several photos from the set. Some of them showed Nicholas Galitzine's blonde hair for He-Man, teased that (at least a part of) the story is set on Earth, and...

Masters Of The Universe: Moss Man Actor Stephen Adentan Shares BTS Glimpse Of His Practical Costume
Image
The upcoming live-action Masters of the Universe movie from Mattel and Amazon MGM Studios is set to feature a lot of characters (it would probably take less time to list the heroes and villains that won't appear) from the original animated series, toy line, and various comic book runs, including a few fairly obscure allies of He-Man.

Stephen Adentan is set to play Moss Man, and has now taken to social media to announce that he has finished filming his scenes while also sharing a BTS look at the practical costume he'll don as Eternia's guardian of the natural world.

Moss Man only made two appearances in the '80s cartoon as a spy who could camouflage himself by transforming into a plant, but his origins were retconned in the comics and later animated shows, reimagining the character as one of the most powerful beings in Eternia.

He-Man/Prince Adam...

Bad News Godzilla Fans, the Most Divisive ‘Godzilla x Kong’ Team Up Is Leaving Netflix Soon
Image
If you were planning a MonsterVerse marathon before Godzilla x Kong: Supernova stomps into cinemas in 2027, you’d better act fast. Netflix has announced that Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, the franchise’s highest-grossing installment to date, is leaving the platform next month.

The 2024 titan showdown, which brought Godzilla and Kong together again for an even bigger battle, will exit Netflix on June 14, 2025. While the news may feel like a body slam to fans still dissecting the film’s kaiju lore, there’s at least one upside: The New Empire will remain available to stream on HBO Max, alongside Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla vs. Kong.

The removal is particularly surprising given the MonsterVerse’s momentum. With Godzilla x Kong: Supernova currently in production, you’d think Warner Bros. Discovery would want its biggest hit — literally and financially — as accessible as possible. After all, The New Empire roared to $571 million worldwide,...

Did Matthew Modine Just Drop a Clue About ‘Godzilla x Kong: Supernova’ Villain?
Image
Looks like a major secret from Godzilla x Kong: Supernova might’ve just slipped out, thanks to one of the movie’s new stars. Actor Matthew Modine, who recently joined the MonsterVerse, may have accidentally dropped a big hint about who Godzilla and Kong will be up against in the upcoming film.

Modine has been sharing stuff online, and fans quickly noticed he posted clips from the 1994 film Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla. That’s got a lot of people wondering if SpaceGodzilla is the next villain. It’s possible he didn’t know that the main enemy for the movie was supposed to be a surprise. Or maybe he’s just teasing fans. Either way, people are talking.

SpaceGodzilla is a huge name for long-time fans. He’s one of Godzilla’s strongest enemies, right up there with King Ghidorah and Destoroyah. He’s not just strong—he’s smart, too.

Disney’s Hercules Remake Reportedly Stuck in Limbo as Creative Disagreements With Russo Brothers Stall Progress
Image
One of the next big remakes Disney still has in the works is Hercules. The project was first announced in 2020 and had a lot of buzz at the time. It started with Dave Callaham, who worked on Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, writing the script.

The Russo Brothers, known for their work on the Avengers movies, came on to produce it. Eventually, Guy Ritchie joined the team as director and helped update the script.

Even though the movie is still in development, there hasn’t been much news about it for a while. Now, a report from insider Daniel Richtman might explain why things have been so quiet. According to Richtman, there have been “creative tensions” behind the scenes.

The conflict seems to come down to different visions for the story. The Russo Brothers apparently want to make Hades the main character, focusing the film around him.

Live-Action 'Hercules' From Russo Brothers & Disney Reportedly Facing Creative Setback
Image
Herculesis one of several Disney films set to get a live-action remake after Lilo & Stitch broke box office records last month. Hailing from the Russo Brothers, who are currently in production on Avengers: Doomsday, the upcoming project has been in development for quite some time. However, it seems that the creative braintrust behind the new Hercules is in disagreement with how the film should be made, and which character it should focus on.

Industry insider Daniel Richtman reports that "creative tensions" have been brewing on Hercules between the Russo Brothers and Disney. He claims that the filmmaking duo wants to shift directions and focus on a new story about Hades, as well as title the film after the god of the underworld. Meanwhile, Disney is more inclined to make a faithful adaptation of the 1997 animated film. It's unclear if both sides have come to an agreement yet, but it would...

Masters Of The Universe Star Nicholas Galitzine Teases His He-Man Physique And Costume (From Behind A Curtain)
Image
The live-action Masters of the Universe movie is now filming at Wookey Hole in Somerset after recently finishing up at the Wells Cathedral, and star Nicholas Galitzine has shared some photos and video clips from the massive underground cave system that is believed to be doubling for the caves of Eternia.

In one brief clip, the Cinderella actor can be seen posing from behind a curtain in his He-Man costume. He is completely obscured, but the silhouette does reveal one detail about the outfit.

Not too surprisingly, it seems this next big-screen take on the muscle-bound hero will be ditching the furry loincloth the character wore in the original animated series for a leather tunic or Pteruges.

We have seen Galitzine as Prince Adam (alongside Camila Mendes as Teela) in set photos, but aside from a partial reveal via the initial production still (see above), we have yet to get...

Masters Of The Universe Merch May Reveal First Look At Nicholas Galitzine's He-Man Character Design
Image
Filming on the live-action Masters of the Universe movie is still taking place in London, and while we have seen quite a few set photos of star Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, we have yet to see him in full He-Man mode.

Some photos of Mattel's display at the recent Licensing Expo have now been shared online, and the statue might just give is our first look at the character design for Galitzine's take on Eternia's muscle-bound protector, who Adam transforms into when he holds aloft his magic sword and says... you know the rest!

Though it's difficult to make out the statue's facial features, If you look closely at the base, you'll notice that it bears the movie's title treatment. This would obviously indicate that this is official tie-in merch, and not based on any previous animated or live-action incarnation of the character.

Hopefully, a clearer look...

Image
Filming is underway on Godzilla x Kong: Supernova in Brisbane, Australia, and newly surfaced footage from the movie's set (via SFFGazette.com) offers an exciting glimpse at what's to come in the Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire sequel.

The city street was made to look like London, England, and several of the movie's stars and background actors were on hand as all hell broke loose around them (no doubt thanks to a rampaging Titan).

The Queensland news outlet, Courier Mail, shared set footage on TikTok that you can watch below. Their report states that Dan Stevens was spotted filming a "high-stakes" action scene in front of military personnel, though we've yet to get a decent look at him in action.

A photo showing Matthew Modine's character may offer some insights into who those soldiers report to; while not confirmed, there's speculation that he's part of "G-Force,...

Image
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire has been MonsterVerse's highest-grossing film since it entered theatres in 2024. And with the sequel, Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, currently in production, one would think that the 2024 feature would still be available on streaming platforms before its next feature came out. Unfortunately, this isn't the case, as Netflix has announced it will remove the film from its library next month.

Filming for the upcoming Monsterverse movie Godzilla x Kong: Supernova has already begun, and a first glimpse of the upcoming feature was seen in public when a city street was transformed into a disaster zone set in London. Over on social media, a road in Brisbane, Australia, was closed off for filming, which featured some of the film's stars, a lot of extras, and plenty of rubble and emergency vehicles. Godzilla X Kong: Supernova's Title Reveal May Have Spoiled The Movie's Big Villain
Image
Warner Bros. and Legendary's MonsterVerse is continuing to unfold. More than a decade in, and the slow and steady approach that the companies have taken with these "Godzilla" movies (and TV shows) is paying off. Last year's "Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire" was the biggest movie in the franchise to date, which naturally means we're getting a sequel. That follow-up is coming our way in 2027 in the form of "Godzilla x Kong: Supernova." While plot details are being kept firmly under wraps for the time being, the title alone may well reveal the next kaiju Godzilla and Kong will need to contend with.

While this is largely speculative at this point, the term "Supernova" refers to "the explosion of a star in which the star may reach a maximum intrinsic luminosity one billion times that of the sun." These instances can lead to black holes, which is key. The...

Masters Of The Universe Set Video Shows Panicked Extras Running From Mo-Cap Beast Man(?) Actor
Image
As filming continues on the live-action Masters of the Universe movie in London, this latest video from the set has ignited speculation that the villainous Beast Man might appear after all.

When the supporting cast was announced, it was assumed that Game of Thrones alum Hafthor Bjornsson's Goat Man would fill the role of Skeletor's animalistic henchman, but we'd later hear that concept art featuring Beast Man, Man-e-Faces, Spikor and Battle Cat was spotted at CinemaCon.

In the video and photos below, we see a group of extras running in terror from an unknown actor in a large motion-capture suit and rig. According to set reports, this individual was seen chasing people through the streets with "the movements of a monkey."

We'd say there's a good chance this will turn out to be Beast Man, but there are a lot of Motu characters, and this could always be...
