Paramount Pictures' underrated post-apocalyptic adventure comedy Love and Monsters will be heading to a brand-new streaming home. The 2020 movie stars Maze Runner alum Dylan O'Brien as Joel, a clumsy, hopeless romantic who finally gains the strength and confidence to become a hero.
Beginning on June 1, Love and Monsters will officially be available to stream for free on Tubi. The movie takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where human civilization has been overrun by cold-blooded animals that mutated into large monsters. The story centers around Joel Dawson, who managed to become part of a group of survivors living in an underground bunker after getting separated from his loved ones. Following a near-death experience, he finds the courage to go on an adventure across a monster-filled America in hopes of reuniting with his high school girlfriend.
Love and Monsters was directed by Michael Matthews from a screenplay by Brian Duffield and Matthew Robinson.

The Scorpion King movies ranked starts with the eponymous 2002 Dwayne Johnson vehicle before spawning a five-movie series of fantasy fun. Long before joining The Fast Saga as Hobbs, The Rock - as he was still credited at the time - was first seen as the Scorpion King in 2001's The Mummy Returns. Introduced as a conquering warlord in the film's beginning and a human-scorpion hybrid creature in its finale, the Scorpion King's backstory would be explored a year later in the spin-off, The Scorpion King.
In The Scorpion King, he is re-introduced as Akkadian assassin Mathayus, but in The Scorpion King's straight-to-video sequels would later pass the role on to Michael Copon, Victor Webster, and Zach McGowan, respectively. Each portrays Mathayus at different points in his life in different adventures involving magic, monsters, and swordplay. Billed as a vampire comedy, Don’t Suck is the story of Pete, a burnt-out comedian who’s spent too much time chasing fame on the standup circuit. He’s finally managed to go viral, but it’s from using the C word on a cashier while trying to be funny. However, he and comedy club owner Danny dismiss it as her fault for being too easily offended.
That’s followed by Pete approvingly referring to Danny “Weinstiening” the students in his comedy class and boasting about being part of the mob that stormed the Capitol. That should give you an idea of where Don’t Suck is coming from, what kind of jokes to expect and whether or not to cut your losses and bail now.

"Don't Suck" is a funny and surprisingly heartfelt film that manages to be both real and bizarre. Jamie Kennedy plays Pete Brennan, a respected but struggling comedian, while Matt Rife shines as the comedian vampire, Ethan. The movie explores the dynamics between comedians on the road and the challenges they face, while also delving into the relationship between Pete and his girlfriend Stephanie.
Don't Suck follows the unexpected duo of Pete, a washed-up veteran comic, and his opener, Ethan, an unfunny comedian who leans into a bit about being a vampire. Things take an unexpectedly wacky turn when Pete learns that Ethan's act is actually true, and he is in fact a vampire. As their tour takes off, they try to bridge the gap between exploiting Ethan's vampirism and being real with one another.

Back when most blockbuster movie franchises became standalone trilogies and not cinematic universes, The Matrix Revolutions seemed like a definitive end to Neo’s story. He’d struck a deal to save Zion from the Machines and deleted Hugo Weaving’s infinite Smiths once and for all. But what had it cost him? His sight, his life, and losing the woman he loved. It was a bittersweet end to The Wachowski’s magnum opus, but a conclusion nonetheless.
Until now. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will reprise their respective roles as Neo and Trinity for The Matrix Resurrections, which is directed by Lana Wachowski, who wrote the script with novelists David Mitchell and Aleksandar Hemon. The unlikely sequel is billed as a revival, not a reboot, and will also bring back Jada Pinkett Smith as Niobe, Lambert Wilson as The Merovingian, and Daniel Bernhardt as Agent Johnson. The Matrix 4 has just gotten its official title. Keeping up with the theme of the previous sequels' subtitles, the upcoming fourth installment will be titled The Matrix Resurrections, confirming a rumored title that had previously been leaked. Now, the title is official, as the news comes straight from the Warner Bros. panel at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

While we are excited to see Laurence Fishburne teaming up with Keanu Reeves again for John Wick 4, the actor has categorically denied that he will be appearing alongside The One in The Matrix 4. In another world, before the arrival of the pandemic, both fourth installments of their respective franchises were meant to arrive in theaters on the same day in May. However, The Matrix 4 is now not going to be released until December, and fans have an even longer wait until next year for John Wick 4. Although he has denied appearing in the Matrix sequel previously, he needed to reiterate the fact again in a new interview just for those who either missed it or just refuse to believe it.
Talking in an interview with Jake Hamilton, the actor who formerly played Morpheus in the franchise was asked again about the upcoming sequel, and simply replied, "I'm not involved,...

Highly anticipated sci-fi sequel The Matrix 4 has reportedly been shown in a test screening, and aside from revealing the title to indeed be The Matrix Resurrections as was previously rumored, the solitary review of director Lana Wachowski's return to the world she created has some very positive things to say. The surprising reveal of a Matrix sequel after all these years certainly has a lot of fans nervous. Hopefully this review will go some way to assuage those doubts.
The Matrix Resurrections screened this afternoon and it is: weird, meta, engrossing, surprisingly funny, and ambitious to a fault. I expect Wom to be wildly mixed but the people who love it will *love* it.

Considering that The Matrix 4 is due for release in just six months' time, we still know very, very little about the sci-fi action sequel. Well, star Jessica Henwick, who joins the likes of Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss in the unexpected follow-up, has offered some insight into her role in the movie, teasing a very physical character for her to play.
"I haven't seen a cut of the film, so I don't know what's in it and what isn't, but I trained every day for months. There are a couple of cast members who didn't have any physical stuff and they were so sad. How can you be in The Matrix and not get to do any of the good stuff?"
The Matrix is well-known for reinventing action cinema with the use of bullet-time, with audiences excited to see what director Lana Wachowski has in store all these years later.

The Matrix 4, which was recently revealed to be titled just Matrix, is being kept deeply under wraps, with details of the plot a total mystery at present. Something that we do know though is that the sequel will feature a host of new faces, Priyanka Chopra's being one of them, with the actress revealing that, while she may not be directly involved in any of the action sequences, her role will certainly be a surprising one.
"[Laughs] No. I can't say much, but she's something you don't expect. What I can say is I finished filming and it was the first movie I did after lockdown and I've never felt safer on a set."
While fans of Priyanka Chopra will no doubt be disappointed to learn that she won't be taking part in any sequences that involve kicking, punching, or being frozen mid-air while dodging bullets, it's certainly intriguing...

The announcement that Warner Bros will release all their upcoming movies to HBO Max throughout 2021 came as a major surprise not only to fans, but also seemingly to the filmmaker behind said movies. A source close to the ongoing negotiations has now revealed that, while a deal between Warner Bros and Legendary for the Godzilla vs. Kong release plan is close to being made, The Matrix 4 director Lana Wachowski is "adamant" about an exclusive theatrical run for the sci-fi action sequel.
Since the initial HBO Max announcement was made, there has been a lot of legal trouble behind the scenes, suggesting that the studio was a little quick to jump the gun before ensuring that everyone involved was on board. Legendary were reportedly very unhappy that this would take monster-mash epic Godzilla vs. Kong away from the big screen, with Dune director Denis Villeneuve also reportedly pushing back against the decision to skip theaters.

Sometimes a simple premise, executed very well, can get you most of the way. There is no simpler movie concept than a family member going out for revenge for a murdered loved one. If there is then please do correct me but I feel like these stories have been done to death. It is only every once in a while that something like Taken, Death Wish or Law Abiding Citizen comes along and revitalizes things and then we are back to square one when, for the following years, everything is a carbon copy.

Her husband's killed and she's left for dead. The Cartel made two mistakes, killed her husband and left her alive. They won't live to make another – now she's coming after them. The cast also includes Matt Passmore, Geraldine Singer, Gary Kasper, and Cam Bowen. This is pure jingoism action filmmaking with the added benefit of watching a badass woman take down bad guys. Filming on The Matrix 4 has now wrapped, with the cast and crew reportedly celebrating the movie's completion with a huge party in Germany, despite nationwide health and safety restrictions forbidding it. As many as 200 members of the team are said to have taken part in the wrap party at Studio Babelsberg in Potsdam, Germany, with those behind The Matrix 4 reportedly circumventing the new protocols by claiming they were filming a scene for the highly anticipated sci-fi sequel.
According to a source who was lucky enough to attend, the mood at the party was 'exuberant', and while they added that no one was filming, the spokeswoman for Studio Babelsberg, Bianca Markarewicz, refuted this claiming that the team was shooting a 'celebration scene' and that 'hygiene regulations were complied with.'
"The production team consciously put this shoot with its many participants, right at the end of the filming," Markarewicz asserted.

While we wait and see how exactly director Lana Wachowski is bringing back killed-off characters such as Keanu Reeves' Neo, The Matrix 4 star Jessica Henwick has revealed that seeing humanity's saviour resurrected proved to be an exhilarating experience for her and her co-stars.
"It's trippy. I grew up watching these films. The first time Keanu spoke in character and said Neo's lines, Yahya [Abdul-Mateen II] and I shared a look like, 'Oh my god, it's happening!'"
If the excitement behind-the-scenes is this high, just imagine what it will be like on screen. While specific details regarding the plot of The Matrix 4 continue to remain a mystery, many have speculated that 2003's The Matrix Reloaded contains clues as to how Neo will be brought back. The sequel reveals that there have in fact been several versions of The One,...

In a move that is sure to seem sacrilegious to some, Keanu Reeves has now cut off his long, John Wick style hair and in its place stands a very short buzzcut. Of course, the actor continues to look as breath-taking as ever, with the dramatic change in Reeves' do likely due to the upcoming sequel The Matrix 4 and potentially offering some clues as to the movie's direction.

"Amy! No!" Paramount has debuted one final promo trailer for the movie Love and Monsters, formerly known as Monster Problems, launching direct-to-vod this weekend - skipping theaters entirely. This is directed by the South African filmmaker behind Five Fingers for Marseilles previously. Seven years after the Monsterpocalypse, Joel along with the rest of humanity, has been living underground ever since giant creatures took control of the land. After reconnecting over radio with his high school girlfriend Aimee, he realizes that there's nothing left for him underground, he decides against all logic to venture out to Aimee, despite all the dangerous monsters that stand in his way. Starring Dylan O’Brien, Jessica Henwick, Michael Rooker, Ariana Greenblatt, Ellen Hollman, and Melanie Zanetti. This is a very emotional trailer, and honestly I'm sold more by this than the first trailer. Looks like it might actually be pretty good. Here's the second trailer (+ poster...

Though you may be feeling a bit down thanks to the major Warner Bros. reshuffling that is currently happening due to the delay of No Time to Die, it's not all bad news. The Matrix 4 is now scheduled to hit theaters several months earlier than expected, moving from April 1, 2022, to Dec. 22, 2021. Rather perfectly, Neo, who has always been a sci-fi spiritual figure, will now return around Christmas.
Moving The Matrix 4 forward comes amid a series of delays at the box office, with No Time to Die now scheduled for release on April 2, 2021. Several movies on the DC slate have also suffered push backs, including director Matt Reeves' The Batman, which has been moved from next year all the way to March 4, 2022. The highly anticipated sci-fi epic Dune, has been delayed almost a full year and will now not grace theaters until October 1st, 2021, the date previously held by The Batman.

Another returning cast member has now been added to the roster of The Matrix 4, with actor and stuntman Daniel Bernhardt now set to reprise the role of the villainous computer programme Agent Johnson in the upcoming sequel. Bernhardt also provided the voice for Agent Johnson in the video game Enter the Matrix and has featured in several other high-profile action flicks including Atomic Blonde and John Wick.
Daniel Bernhardt last played the character in 2003's The Matrix Reloaded, in which he and a few of his cohorts took on Keanu Reeves' digital messiah, Neo, and were promptly taught why that is a bad idea. The return of Agent Johnson is a surprising one considering that the version of the Matrix that he existed in was rebooted at the end of the trilogy's final installment, The Matrix Revolutions. The Matrix 4 recently returned to filming after a pause in production, and, while specific details regarding the movie's plot continue to remain a mystery, the breath-taking Keanu Reeves has now revealed a few insights into what audiences can expect when they plug back into the Matrix. After praising director Lana Wachowski, Reeves describes The Matrix 4 as a "love story," and gives us some idea of the direction of the highly anticipated sequel.
"We have a wonderful director, Lana Wachowski, and she has written a beautiful script that is a love story, it's inspiring. It's another version, a call to wake up and it has some great action. All will be revealed."
The love story element has always been crucial to the mythos of The Matrix, with Neo realising his importance and power thanks to Trinity's declaration of love, with the couple being smitten with each other throughout the trilogy.

With production recently starting up again for The Matrix 4, star Neil Patrick Harris has divulged a few details regarding the sci-fi action sequel. Revealing that he in fact only has a small role in the movie, Harris could not help but heap praise on writer and director Lana Wachowski.
"I have great hope that, that fans will appreciate all the work that Lana and everyone is putting into this movie. I'm a big Lana Wachowski fan. I think she's a great person. I think she has a great inclusive energy, and her style has shifted visually from what she had done to what she is currently doing. And it's changed in an evolved way and she's such a bright light. I would have been happy to be in any capacity in this. I would have been happy to just go and visit the set of a big giant franchise movie.

Boom! Studios recently announced that they would be taking the Keanu Reeves-helmed comic book title, Brzrkr, to Kickstarter. Well, in news that should surprise absolutely nobody, the initial target of $50,000 has been absolutely obliterated, with the campaign having now raked in well over $245,000 at time of writing.
Written by Keanu Reeves and Matt Kindt and featuring the artwork of Ron Garney, the synopsis for Brzrkr reads, "A man known only as Berzerker is half-mortal and half-God, cursed and compelled to violence...even at the sacrifice of his sanity. But after wandering the world for centuries, Berzerker may have finally found a refuge - working for the U.S. government to fight the battles too violent and too dangerous for anyone else. In exchange, Berzerker will be granted the one thing he desires - the truth about his endless blood-soaked existence...and how to end it."

The Matrix co-director Lilly Wachowski's recent revelation that the movie was always meant to be a metaphor for transgender identity has given the sci-fi classic a layer of interpretation many always suspected was there. Neo himself, Keanu Reeves, was recently asked about this element of The Matrix, to which the actor acknowledged that, while he was not aware of the transgender allegory, he thinks it's "cool".
"I never spoke to Lilly about that. She never conveyed that to me. I think the Matrix films are profound, and I think that allegorically, a lot of people in different versions of the film can speak to that, and for Lilly to come out and share that with us, I think is cool."
Lilly Wachowski revealed that this was almost meant to be one of the movie's purposes, with the director saying, "I'm glad that it has gotten out, that was the original intention.

Cameras have rolled again on The Matrix 4 after a five-month hiatus due the pandemic.
Deadline first revealed back in March that production on the Warner Bros / Village Roadshow pic was pausing in German city Berlin due to the disruption. Filming is now back underway, with star Keanu Reeves making an appearance in a video interview with AP to update on its prospects.
“Everyone loves the project and if you’re ever going to get in a situation that needs to be figured out…show business people are the best,” said Reeves. “We’re scrappy, we know how to get stuff done, we’re inventive, we think on our feet. It’s a great honor and I’m grateful to be working.”
Regarding the Covid-19 safety measures the studio is taking, the actor said the protocols have been effective and not disruptive to date. “There’s thoughtful, effective protocols in place.

The announcement that we would be returning to the science fiction world of The Matrix came as quite the shock. With the trilogy having wrapped up all the way back in 2003, it was assumed that the story of rebel fighters Neo, Trinity, and Morpheus was over and done with. Well, the surprise was not just felt by fans, but by the stars of the movie franchise too, with Trinity herself, actress Carrie-Anne Moss, recently opening up about The Matrix being reloaded.
Speaking with Empire, Moss expressed her amazement over the franchise's return saying, "I never thought that it would happen. It was never on my radar at all." Moss will once again reprise her role as Trinity from the previous installments and went on to tease the brilliance of The Matrix 4 screenplay, praising writers Lily Wachowski, David Mitchell, and Aleksandar Hemon and citing them as her reason for agreeing to come back.

The cast of the still-untitled fourth film in “The Matrix” saga has signed eight-week extensions to keep the actors on hold until at least July 6, according to an individual with knowledge of the project.
Warner Bros. hopes to resume production on “Matrix 4” in early July. Initially, the film began production in February in San Francisco before moving to Berlin in mid-March. Like many projects, production was halted because of the shutdown brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.

The announcement that we would be getting a fourth movie in the Matrix franchise came as quite a surprise, so conclusively wrapped up was the trilogy. Sure, there were some things left open, but all in all the story had seemingly reached its end. Well, despite this, The Matrix 4 is coming, and not only are several cast members returning but so are the guys behind John Wick, Chad Stahelski and David Leitch, both of whom worked as stunt performers in The Matrix trilogy. This time though Stahelski and Leitch will not be delving into stunts as they did before, but instead will help out director Lana Wachowski on a more conceptual level.
"It's more about the creative concept of some of the choreography and backing them up with stuff. Other than the Matrixes, most of their stuff...what makes [Lana] so great is she directs her own action. We've had...

Joe Pantoliano really wants to be included in The Matrix 4. However, director Lana Wachowski isn't responding to him. The first installment hit theaters over 20 years ago, kicking off the original trilogy. For years, it was believed that the franchise was done on the big screen and that Keanu Reeves would not return. As it turns out, that was all wrong because Wachowski is back behind the camera and Reeves is back in front of it. Is there room for Joe Pantoliano to join in?

Filming is currently going on in San Francisco, with several set images and videos having hit social media over the last few weeks giving us a small glimpse at what to expect from the upcoming sequel.
