Delicious in Dungeon may be gaining more than enough traction on Netflix even with just one season, but that’s sadly not sufficient for it to win at least one nomination at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025. Cbr reports that the beloved anime series walked away with nothing at the award show hosted by Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira after being nominated in sixteen categories. Two of the categories included Best New Series and Best Comedy Anime, which went to Solo Leveling and Mashle: Magic and Muscles, respectively.
Even without an Anime Award this year, Delicious in Dungeon still holds a 100% critics’ rating on Rotten Tomatoes with praise directed at its cast and characters. Collider also ranks it at #1 in its top anime picks of 2024, calling it “fun to watch” and “a unique show.” The commentary also reads:
“Using worldbuilding and monster biology, this anime creates a magical ecosystem where characters can interact and explore.

Today is a terrible day for fans of Netflix'sDelicious in Dungeon. The promising nominee walked away with nothing at the Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2025.
Crunchyroll announced the winners (and losers) of the 2025 Anime Awards, which premiered on May 25, 2025. The prestigious award show hosted by Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira celebrated all things anime from 2024, such as Solo Leveling, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, and Shonen Jump's critical darling Dandadan. Unfortunately, one of the best anime series on Netflix was left out of the spotlight, despite being nominated in 16 categories.
Delicious in Dungeon Failed to Win an Anime Award in the 16 Categories It Was Nominated For
Delicious in Dungeon, the comical exploration of Dungeons, Dragons, and Cookery, didn't win a single award at this year's Anime Awards presented by Crunchyroll. While not every anime can be a winner, the fact that Delicious in Dungeon was nominated in 16 categories makes the loss feel even more devastating for fans.
