But how could it have worked when there were so many conflicts of interest at play here?

And now Ej no longer has to worry. There’s one less conflict of interest since Belle (Martha Madison) wisely kicked him to the curb. Their relationship is over. Let’s see if it stays that way. Understandably, she felt used and humiliated. Hope the sacrifice was worth it, Ej.

But since Joseph Mascolo is gone, that means it is going to be a new Stefano no matter what if they bring the character back.

My wheels have been turning with all this recent talk about the queen of the night dreams that are plaguing Marin (AnnaLynne McCord). And we’re going to talk about The Phoenix rising again and who it may be.

Speculations on the Return of Stefano Dimera in Days of Our Lives

So, I really don’t think the writers or showrunners would ever do a true recast to replace the late Joseph Mascolo in the role of Stefano. So, not a full recast as a permanent character.

On Days of Our Lives, the character of Cat Greene has come to life since being revealed as an Isa Analyst. But it took a while for the evolution to happen, with bumps and triumphs along the way. AnnaLynne McCord, who plays Cat, has quite a resume, having worked in TV and film since 2002. The 2025 Daytime Emmy nominee recently opened up about her journey to soap opera stardom.
