Ava DuVernay, Colman Domingo and Sheryl Lee Ralph are among the presenters at the Truth Awards.

Hosted by the Better Brothers Los Angeles (Bbla) and The Diva Foundation, the Truth Awards honor achievements within the Black LGBTQ+ community. The awards will be held on March 15 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Among the honorees are Lee Daniels, who will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Aafca founder Gil Robertson, who will be presented with the Media & Arts Award. Wendy Raquel Robinson will be recognized with the Ally Award, and Dr. Kimberly Smith will be awarded the History Maker Award. Additionally, Dr. Leo Moore will receive the Bayard Rustin Advocacy Award, and Larry Sims will be honored with the Business Leadership Award. Brittani Nichols will accept the Breakout Star Award, and Wayman Bannerman and Micah McDonald will be recognized with the Andre Leon Talley Style Purveyor Award.

Since The Braxtons' first season ended, Towanda Braxton has been on a media tour discussing the series as well as the aftermath of the social media blitz regarding the reality show. Netflix has released a new trailer for the upcoming weekly comedy show, “Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj.” It premieres on Sunday, Oct. 28, and will run for 32 episodes. Each week, Minhaj will explore the modern cultural and political landscape and search for larger trends shaping the world today. Last year, Minhaj won rave reviews and a Peabody Award for his Netflix comedy special “Homecoming King.” The weekly show is executive produced by Minhaj, Prashanth Venkataramanujam, Art & Industry’s Michelle Caputo and Shannon Hartman, Jennie Church-Cooper, and Jim Margolis, who is also the showrunner. The English crime drama “Peaky Blinders” has released a first look still from the set of Season 5, which began filming in Manchester in September.

It's not all hugs and kisses for the Braxton family on their reality show, 'Braxton Family Values.' After all, who would watch that? The Braxton sisters went on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7Am on ABC) to make some strawberry shortcake, talk about how the family works, and to preview the season finale.

Robin Roberts asked Towanda Braxton what to expect from the season finale. "A lot of drama," she said. "Absolutely. We can't do it without any drama. But we do it with love. And it's just very important for everybody to understand that we love each other. Even though we fight hard, we cry hard, but we love each other."
