The Twilight Saga: New Moon sees Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) breaking up at the beginning, and Bella spends a large part of the movie hearing and seeing Edward. However, this raises some questions as it’s known that Edward can’t access Bella’s mind. Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight universe brings together vampires, werewolves, and humans, with key changes to the first two. The vampires and werewolves in the world of Twilight are unlike their traditional depictions, and one of the biggest (and most controversial) changes to vampires is that each of them has unique powers.
The powers of the vampires in Twilight go from very useful and interesting to completely useless and irrelevant. The set of powers of each vampire is unique, and Edward’s is all about reading minds. It’s revealed in Twilight that Edward was drawn to Bella due to the smell of...

Ambition outstrips expertise in writer-director Phil Blattenberger’s “Laws of Man,” whose serpentine plot winds up seeming a wild goose chase — one whose execution should have been, well, wilder. Action and atmosphere are too poorly supplied for this stab at a noirish retro thriller to emerge as anything but talky, awkward and unconvincing. Set in 1963, it takes a big narrative leap toward the end that suggests an intent closer to such willfully over-the-top Cold War paranoia fantasias as “Dr. Strangelove” and “Winter Kills.” But the satirical edge which might’ve pulled off that gambit is absent throughout, making for a whole that’s peculiar without ever being very engaging. Saban is releasing the feature to U.S. theaters, digital and On Demand platforms Jan. 10.

When Twilight Director Catherine Hardwicke Revealed Studio’s Doubts About Robert Pattinson’s Casting
Did the studio have doubts about Robert Pattison’s casting in Twilight? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Welcome to the early days of Robert Pattinson’s Twilight journey. Director Catherine Hardwicke took a trip down memory lane on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, revealing just how much of a long shot Pattinson seemed at first. Spoiler alert: Hardwicke totally knew what she was doing.
When Pattinson first strolled into her life, he wasn’t exactly rocking that “mysterious vampire” vibe. “When he came over to my house, he had black bangs for hair and was kind of out of shape because he was hanging out at the pub all the time,” Hardwicke shared. Yeah, not exactly the Edward Cullen we now know and love. But here’s where it gets juicy. Summit Entertainment—aka the studio behind Twilight—was less than convinced. They straight-up asked, “Do you think you can make this guy look good?...

After being pigeonholed as a certain type of actor for a number of years, Kristen Stewart's movies have showcased that she is an incredible talent of immense versatility. The American actress got her start early, earning acclaim at the tender age of 12 years old for her role in David Fincher's thriller Panic Room. She continued her career with a number of teen roles before becoming a household name thanks to her role as Bella Swan in the Twilight movie franchise.
Like with her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson, the popular but critically derided movies helped and hurt Stewart's career, leading her to reinvent herself as an indie actor, willing to take on bold and challenging roles. Since then, Stewart has emerged as one of the most acclaimed actors of her generation, working alongside talented filmmakers and even scoring her first Oscar nomination. While there is a long and...

Warning: This article contains Major Spoilers for The Perfect Couple.
Dakota Fannings performance in the hit new Netflix Show The Perfect Couple repeats a career twist from 12 years ago, when she appeared in the Twilight movies. Netflixs newest murder mystery revels in its soapy, overdramatic elements. Despite The Perfect Couple being divisive among both critics and audiences, the show has remained in the number 1 spot of Netflixs Top 10 list since its release, making it a hit.
While the series has unquestionable narrative flaws, the show shines because of the performances of The Perfect Couples A-list cast. The actors who portray the Winbury family do a great job of making their ridiculously wealthy characters unlikable and obnoxious. A notable standout in the murder mystery is actor Dakota Fanning who portrays The Perfect Couples pregnant murderer, Abby Winbury. In addition to being hilariously terrible, Fannings role mirrors a career twist from over a decade ago.

Twilight is getting a second (after)life in the form of an animated series at Netflix.
The streamer has given a straight-to-series order and begun development on a show based on Midnight Sun, author Stephenie Meyer’s companion novel to her mega-selling Twilight series. The book is a retelling of the events of Twilight from vampire Edward Cullen’s point of view; the main series is told from the perspective of Bella Swan, the human object of Edward’s fascination.
Lionsgate Television, which began early development on a Twilight TV project last year, will produce the series. Lionsgate’s film division released the four Twilight movies.
Sinead Daly (Hulu’s Tell Me Lies, Max’s Raised by Wolves), who has been attached to the project from the outset, will adapt the novel and executive produce along with the Meyer and Meghan Hibbett of Fickle Fish Films, Wyck Godfrey and Marty Bowen...

Jackson Rathbone recalls Robert Pattinson's annoyance with sparkly vampire makeup in the Twilight movies. Meyer's lore behind the Twilight vampires' sparkling skin is rooted in cellular changes, making their skin refract sunlight. Sparkling vampires remain a contentious aspect of Twilight, with the potential for a more crowd-pleasing adaptation in the upcoming TV series.
Twilight star Jackson Rathbone looks back on the original movie's production, recollecting how lead star Robert Pattinson was left bothered by his sparkly vampire makeup. Rathbone portrayed Jasper Hale, a vampire who would marry into the Cullen family to leave behind his bloody, violent past throughout the American Civil War. Alongside Pattinson, he would reprise his role in all five Twilight movies, which adapted Stephenie Meyer's best-selling supernatural romance novels.

Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has some thoughts on who would be cast as the main characters if the film were to be rebooted today.
During an appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast to discuss the film 15 years after it originally came out, the filmmaker chimed in on who she’d want to play Edward Cullen and Bella Swan in a film today.
When asked if Jacob Elordi and Jenna Ortega would portray the two main characters, Hardwicke admitted, “Oh, that would be perfect,” she said, adding of Elordi, “I mean, he’s amazing. He probably would be Edward today.”
She explained that so many people come to mind when she thinks about who could be cast in the roles in the present day. Model Lewis Tan approached her recently and told her he went out for the role of Jacob Black, which eventually went to Taylor Lautner.

When filmmaker Catherine Hardwicke got the first draft of Twilight, she knew there was a problem. The script depicted Bella as a superstar athlete and ended with her in a chase with the FBI (on jet skis). “It had just gone out of control,” says Hardwicke. “I’m like, ‘No, no, no, that’s not what the book’s about. It’s about this incredible, impossible love and this yearning.”
Hardwicke wanted to ditch the script and get closer to the book by author Stephenie Meyer. Those instincts proved right. Fifteen years ago, on Nov. 21, 2008, Twilight became a surprise hit for low-key studio Summit Entertainment, grossing $408.4 million worldwide and instantly turning stars Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan) and Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen) into global stars. It would spawn four sequels, with a TV reboot on the way.

Robert Pattinson needed a makeover to transform into Edward Cullen, according to “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke.
While appearing on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast to mark the 15th anniversary of the beloved 2008 film, Hardwicke recalled how studio Summit Entertainment was skeptical Pattinson could “look good” as the heartthrob character.
“When he came over to my house, he had black bangs for hair and was kind of out of shape because he was hanging out at the pub all the time,” Hardwicke said of first auditioning Pattinson. “I sent it to Summit and he went over to meet them. They called me back and go, ‘Do you think you can make this guy look good?'”
Hardwicke continued, “I said, ‘Yeah, I do. Did you see his cheekbones? We’re doing a makeover on the hair and everything and he’s going to start working out and he’s going to be gorgeous.

Robert Pattinson is known as a heartthrob in Hollywood following his shot to stardom after starring in the Twilight saga. However, the film’s director Catherine Hardwicke is now revealing that the studio behind the franchise was not always Team Pattinson for the role of Edward and expressed concern over his looks during the casting process.

What could go wrong when you send a group of elite soldiers skilled in warfare to an island in the middle of nowhere to extract a VIP? Well! Everything could go wrong, and Philippe Martinez’s 2023 action flick, Black Noise, explores such a scenario. A team of skilled soldiers took up a new task, thinking it would be a simple find-and-extract job. Little did they know the enemies they were going to face there would take more than just bullets to kill.
It all began with Ryan (Wayne Gordon) receiving a call from his superiors while he was enjoying his holiday in St. Martin with his team. His squad included Naomi (Ashton Leigh), Leila (Sadie Newman), Leo (Jackson Rathbone), and Jordan. Unfortunately, his superiors wanted Ryan to cancel his holiday and make preparations to extract a target of high value from an exclusive island. The island wasn’t for everyone.

Black Noise is the latest film to follow in the footsteps of Predator and takes a group of highly trained professional soldiers and sends them to a remote location on what should be a simple mission only for it to turn into a battle with something beyond their comprehension. Earlier this year Island Escape added a few twists to make it feel fresh, can Black Noise pull off the same feat?
A large man, uniformed and armed, flees through a Carribean rainforest. Whatever he’s running from must be dangerous, his uniform is torn and he’s battered, bloody, and panicked to the point of shooting at moving foliage. Reaching a house he sees a quad parked in the yard, just what he needs to escape. But...

In the sci-fi thriller Black Noise, Alex Pettyfer and his team of mercenaries face a dangerous unknown threat on an isolated island. The Island wastes no time in establishing just how evil its villain, Manuel is. As he’s talking to Nora, a singer auditioning at one of his properties, the waiter spills her drink on her. His response isn’t to fire the man but to stab him in the neck and tell the shocked woman, “Go get cleaned up, you work for me now.”
In Los Angeles Mark and his partner Phil are working undercover setting up a drug bust. This being an action film it naturally goes bad, but that’s not the worst thing Mark is going to have to deal with today. He gets a call telling him his brother has been murdered on the island where they grew up.

The Twilight Saga movies, based on Stephenie Meyer's novels, made a huge impact when they hit theaters – turning vampires from spooky to sparkly overnight in the pop culture imagination, and enthralling audiences worldwide. Despite commercial success, Twilight also drew widespread criticism over what many saw as a clichéd script, plus the romanticizing of controlling relationships and self-destructive behavior. The movies also left audiences with questions and gaps, with characters sometimes making puzzling decisions or having abilities that weren't fully explained.
Starring Kristen Stewart as human Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson as "vegetarian" vampire Edward Cullen, and Taylor Lautner as werewolf Jacob, Twilight gave its own take on the mythical creatures. The series provided plenty of its own lore over the course of five films, based on Meyer's four young adult volumes. However, as former dedicated tweens now prepare to dust off their Team Edward or Team Jacob shirts ahead...

Michael Jai White is continuing his action genre dominance with The Island. White leads the cast of the upcoming action-crime thriller as Mark, an LAPD officer who returns to his home island in the Caribbeans after learning of his brother's death, only to discover a trail of corruption behind it and seek vengeance. Alongside White, the cast for The Island includes The Twilight Saga alum Jackson Rathbone, The Oval's Gillian White, Non-Stop's Edoardo Costa and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' Gabriel Rios.
Ahead of the movie's theatrical and digital release, Screen Rant can exclusively present a new The Island clip.

This article contains discussions/references to murder, physical and sexual abuseCriminal Minds tends to stick to a villain-of-the-week formula and one of these memorable criminals is played by Jackson Rathbone. Criminal Minds follows the Behavioral Analysis Unit (Bau), a team within the FBI who uses profiling and behavioral detection to find the culprits behind America’s most heinous crimes. The series has always taken a villain-of-the-week style of storytelling approach, introducing criminals usually over one or two episodes. The most memorable unsubs (unidentified subjects) in Criminal Minds usually had longer arcs, but some like Rathbone’s made a strong impression with much less screen time.
Jackson Rathbone’s role in Criminal Minds came right in the middle of his time playing Jasper Hale in the Twilight film saga (which is based on the books by Stephanie Meyer). As part of the massively popular and successful vampire franchise, Rathbone's Jasper was...

"He's never going to stop... you can't save him." "But I can save our island." Saban Films has revealed an official trailer for The Island, another trashy B-movie action thriller – not to be confused with Michael Bay's sci-fi thriller The Island of 2005. This will be out in July for anyone interested in watching. From the stunt coordinator / director Shaun Paul Piccinino, who you have never heard of and never seen any of his other movies anyway. When his brother is killed, LAPD officer Mark (Michael J. White) leaves the city to return to the island he grew up on. Seeking answers and ultimately vengeance, he soon finds himself in a bloody battle with the corrupt tycoon who's taken over the island paradise. Starring Michael Jai White, along with Jackson Rathbone, Gillian White, Gabriel 'G-Rod' Rodriguez, Cami Storm, Wayne Gordon, Gabriel Rios, and Edoardo Costa as Manuel. This junk should...

The Twilight Saga is full of moments of foreshadowing, and there are two in the first book of the series that teased two crucial moments in New Moon. Stephenie Meyer shared her version of vampires and werewolves in the Twilight book series, which took readers to a world where these creatures co-exist with humans. The main focus of the Twilight series is the toxic relationship between vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) and mortal Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), who had to defend their relationship from both vampires and werewolves, but mostly from a powerful and dangerous group of vampires known as the Volturi.
Edward and Bella went through many ups and downs throughout the Twilight Saga, and one of their most dramatic moments happened in the second movie, New Moon. Concerned about Bella’s safety but refusing to turn her into a vampire, Edward broke up with her, sending her into...

Writer and director Phil Blattenburg has done a good job here to create a World War II movie set ten years after the end of the war. That might sound a bit strange but Condor’s Nest looks and feels very much like a World War II movie but takes place a decade later. We follow an American aviator who is out for revenge and on the search for Nazi war criminals. But he soon gets mixed up in much more than just that.

Movies about WWII and the Nazi's creating some sort of supernatural entity/soldier/curse to help them win the war have become quite common over the past few years and while the staying power and quality of these varies wildly, once in a while one comes along that surpasses expectation. During his 1980s and ’90s heyday as a frightfully prolific star of blood-and-thunder direct-to-video fare, Wings Hauser once aptly described his target audience as “the microwave-burrito guys at 2 a.m. with a beer in their hands” — and, presumably, a Vcr remote switch nearby. Nowadays, that audience can digitally stream their B-movies of choice. But while the favored cuisine of these undiscriminating customers might have changed, the cinematic product they consume remains pretty much the same, albeit enhanced by better production values and, with all due respect to Mr. Hauser, superior star power.
All of which brings us to “WarHunt,” a modestly diverting mashup of WWII actioner and horror thriller that would not have been out of place on a New Release shelf at Blockbuster not so terribly long ago. Wait, scratch that: It would have been a standout on the shelf, if only when compared to the many lesser titles stocked around it.

"I promise I'll get us all out of here!" Saban Films has debuted an official trailer for an action thriller horror feature titled WarHunt, from filmmaker Mauro Borrelli. This is arriving on VOD in January, taking that usual slot (earlier this year it was another WWII action thriller horror feature called Shadow in the Cloud). WarHunt has a similar vibe to Dog Soldiers or the more recent Overlord. A US military plane crash lands in the German forest during World War II. As the soldiers venture into the forest, they discover dead bodies with organs missing and mysterious signs. Soon they start to find some kind of demons out there. But what exactly is it?! The cast includes Mickey Rourke, Jackson Rathbone, Robert Knepper, Josh Burdett, Alex Mills, Fredrik Wagner, Matt Mella, Timo Willman, and Ben McKeown. Oh damn this actually looks pretty good! It leans into the supernatural a bit more than Overlord,...
