Jason Momoa may have a fierce, intimidating presence on screen, but in reality, he’s the complete opposite: warm, kind, and far from the dangerous persona his roles might suggest. An example of his kindness is when he came through for his Game of Thrones co-star Emilia Clarke, whom he adorably still calls his on-screen wifey.
Clarke and Momoa famously appeared as the couple, Daenerys Targaryen and Khal Drogo. The HBO adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novel series did not hold back on n*dity, violence, and gore from the get-go. The Me Before You actress was fairly new to the TV scene when she landed the role of Daenerys, which required her to do n*de scenes with Jason Momoa.
During her appearance on the Armchair Expert podcast, Clarke recalled how Momoa came to her aid and made sure she was comfortable on the set.

Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill, James Cameron’s Avatar (Photo Credit – Wikimedia/IMDb)
James Cameron’s Avatar is one of the most loved Hollywood movies. The sci-fi film was released in 3D and mesmerized everyone with its stunning visuals and grand storytelling. When the movie was released in 2009, discussions about how 3D would change the way people look at movies commenced. One such prominent filmmaker who was impressed with Cameron’s work is Quentin Tarantino.
In an interview with Far Out Magazine, Quentin Tarantino was quite impressed with James Cameron’s Avatar and even wished he had seen it before making Kill Bill. The director shared that he had grand visions for his film, released in two volumes, but felt he couldn’t completely achieve the immersive experience he had in mind. Kill Bill features Uma Thurman, Lucy Liu, David Carradine, and others.

The #MeToo movement and the release of the documentary series "The Secrets of Playboy" pretty much killed the Playboy brand (and rightfully so). For decades, Hugh Hefner dressed up sexual freedom as female empowerment. He supported progressive ideals of racial equality, queer identity, and a woman's right to choose. But his image as a cultural liberator and the suave womanizer every man should envy was just a veneer. Hugh Hefner was a controlling hoarder, and inside his so-called famous luxury mansion, which was dull and musty inside, he allegedly drugged and manipulated women into performing degrading sex acts. He would secretly film some women and use the footage as blackmail (via Variety).
From 2005 to 2010, the reality series "The Girls Next Door" on E! made the Playboy brand more popular than it had ever been. It painted Hef's three live-in girlfriends Holly, Bridget, and Kendra as cartoony, frilly playthings and Hef himself as a harmless,...

A reboot of Red Sonja spent nearly fifteen years in development hell before going into production in 2022 with director M.J. Bassett (Solomon Kane) at the helm. Before Bassett signed on, the project had passed through the hands of directors Robert Rodriguez, Simon West, Bryan Singer, and Joey Soloway, with Hannah John-Kamen, Rose McGowan, and Amber Heard being considered for the lead role. Matilda Lutz ended up starring in the film, which is set to receive a theatrical release (courtesy of Samuel Goldwyn Films) on August 13 before arriving on digital on August 29. With those dates swiftly approaching, a behind-the-scenes look at the film’s stunts, fights, cast, and horses has been shared on social media, along with a selfie Lutz took while wearing the title character’s iconic chainmail bikini.

It was announced last week that Johnny Depp and Ridley Scott would be teaming up for a new horror project that seems right up both their alleys, as it puts a new spin on an old classic. Now, a week later, we have the first trailer for the joint venture (seen below), and it's as strange as the source material it stems from. Depp, of course, is in the midst of a comeback of sorts following his legal troubles with ex-wife Amber Heard, while Scott is preparing to finally direct his Bee Gees biopic for Paramount in November after the two resolved issues that prevented the movie from heading into production earlier this year.
Titled Hyde, the Depp-Scott collaboration comes by way of Scott Free and Mechanical Cake, and is a sequel of sorts to the classic Robert Louis Stevenson novella Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It...

Several months ago, Tesla dealerships in several Western states were under attack from gunfire and arson in response to company owner Elon Musk’s role in reelecting President Donald Trump and then working on his behalf to dismantle a slew of federal government agencies. Now, in his own attempt to Make America Great Again, he’s opened the first retro-minded Tesla Diner in Hollywood, where the line is hours-long around the clock.
The world’s richest man first publicly floated this nostalgia play in a 2018 tweet — before his hard-right political turn, before his purchase of Twitter and before he decamped from his Los Angeles home base for Texas. This predated Hollywood liberals’ widespread rejection of him, often by either dumping their Teslas or else affixing bumper stickers to assure fellow motorists “I Bought This Before Elon Went Crazy.”
In this way, the Tesla Diner is both a utopic throwback to L.

Amber Heard once admired Angelina Jolie and hoped to follow in the footsteps of the actress when it came to how she managed her fame. The detail becomes more interesting now, after reports emerged that Jolie and Johnny Depp, Heard’s ex-husband, have rekindled an old fling.
During a 2013 interview with Vanity Fair, Amber Heard was asked about an actor or actress whom she loved and admired for their work. Heard replied:
I can’t think of anyone who’s better accomplished the kind of trajectory that I admire better than Angelina Jolie. She’s really parlayed her life in the public eye and used it to her advantage as opposed to just living life as a recluse.
She particularly mentioned it in the context of how she dealt with the public perception and paparazzi, something Heard also faced. The young actress could learn a lot from Jolie, who built a solid reputation with action,...

Although it has been years since the messy divorce and defamation case were finalized, Amber Heard’s ex-girlfriend, Bianca Butti, stands in her support while talking about the awful marriage she once shared with her ex-husband, Johnny Depp.
She also shared details about the Aquaman actress’ headspace back then, as she awaited the U.K. verdict while preparing for the next legal saga ahead.
She had nowhere to put everything. She didn’t know how to cry. She didn’t know how to freak out. She didn’t know how to break down. She just knew how to keep going,” Butti said. “She was completely detached. … She was shut down.
Butti voiced this support in Kelly Loudenberg and Makiko Wholey’s book Hollywood Vampires: Johnny Depp, Amber Heard, and the Celebrity Exploitation Machine, which re-traces the steps of the fallout from Heard and Depp’s relationship and the legal drama that followed.

Johnny Depp made a surprise appearance at Alice Cooper's recent concert in London, appearing onstage with his Hollywood Vampires bandmate to pay tribute to Ozzy Osbourne. The two rockers joined forces to honor the legendary Black Sabbath frontman, just three days after his family announced that he had died at the age of 76. The mic drop moment left concertgoers stunned, as no one had expected the Pirates of the Caribbean actor and musician to be at the event, let alone grab his guitar and perform at the sold-out show.
The Judas Priest and Alice Cooper concert promised "a night of unparalleled metal and theatrical rock," but those who bought a ticket to the show got an extra surprise when Depp walked out onstage with his guitar in hand at London's O2 Arena on July 25. Angelina Jolie is back in the love business? Well, at least that’s what insider sources have to say, months after the actress finalized her long and emotionally draining divorce battle with her ex-husband, Brad Pitt. And the person she is reported to be dating is Johnny Depp, her co-star from their 2010 flick, The Tourist.
According to a source’s claim to Star Magazine about the former co-stars:
They’ve gotten together in London and L.A. without anyone catching on. They go to great lengths to stay under the radar.
While that’s that, the source further added that Depp has long “carried a torch” for Jolie, with many people even reportedly being convinced that “Angie’s the reason Johnny fell so hard for [estranged ex-wife] Amber Heard: She was like a version of Angie.”
Of course, this rumored relationship sounds unbelievable. Not to mention, the source offered no concrete evidence to support these claims.

Red Sonja is a property Hollywood has been trying to get right for quite some time. Created by Roy Thomas and artist Barry Windsor-Smith—based on a character by Conan the Barbarian creator Robert E. Howard—Red Sonja has long been a staple of the sword-and-sorcery genre and remains one of the most iconic pulp heroines of her era.
Riding the wave of Conan the Barbarian’s success, producer Dino De Laurentiis attempted to launch a Red Sonja franchise in 1985, with Brigitte Nielsen in the title role and Arnold Schwarzenegger playing a thinly veiled version of Conan named Lord Kalidor. The film was a major flop, but as fantasy has made a strong comeback in recent years, many believe Red Sonja is overdue for a proper cinematic revival.

DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn teased how his Aquaman will be different from Jason Momoa's version when he finally joins the Dcu. Hawaiian actor Jason Momoa brought a fresh twist to Aquaman in the Dceu, turning the blue brand's biggest joke into an underwater badass. Arthur Curry became the rebellious, reluctant King of Atlantis who sat on the throne alongside his wife Mera, played by the controversial actress Amber Heard.
Aquaman's big-screen saga truly began in Justice League and continued into two solo outings - one of which is DC's highest-grossing movie of all-time while the latter ended the Dceu on a flop to usher in the Dcu reboot. Having completed his underwater journey, Momoa is already moving on at DC Studios, fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing the intergalactic bounty hunter Lobo in Supergirl.

Blake Lively‘s subpoenas to content creators in the Justin Baldoni legal drama have caused massive outrage on the internet. While many question the actress’s violation of freedom of speech, she has received support from Amber Heard‘s lawyer. Elaine Bredehoft made a bizarre statement supporting Lively’s decision.
Earlier, Heard received brutal criticism online during the Depp vs Heard trial of 2022. Bredehoft still believes that much of this criticism came as part of Johnny Depp’s PR move. She has responded positively to Lively’s latest legal action, sharing with Variety:
They basically annihilated [Amber Heard]. I think it’s great that Blake Lively’s legal team is trying to get in front of it. How else do you fight this?
Bredehoft’s statement comes after many accused Lively of trying to silence the severe criticism against her. John Genga, who represents journalist Kjersti Flaa, shared, “We think it’s invasive.

Billy Bob Thornton might be starring in the latest in a long line of successful shows in the Taylor Sheridan-verse with "Landman," but like every actor, his filmography has its share of duds. The star, who propelled himself to stardom by writing, directing, and starring in the 1996 drama "Sling Blade," wasn't always able to match the quality of that breakthrough performance, as evidenced by his Rotten Tomatoes page.

Johnny Depp has expressed outrage over being dropped from the Fantastic Beasts franchise, delivering a blunt message to producers: “F— you.”
Depp, who is best known for his role in the hit Disney franchise Pirates of the Caribbean, was asked to resign from the Harry Potter prequel series after his infamous court case against ex-wife Amber Heard.

The She-Devil With a Sword has finally returned. Red Sonja, the long-awaited reboot of the classic fantasy comic book character, is coming back to the big screen this summer. In the new trailer for the film, Matilda Lutz plays the flame-haired barbarian warrior as she seeks vengeance, battles monsters, and confronts death in a gladiatorial arena. M.J. Bassett (Rogue) directs the film, which had been stuck in development hell for decades. The film will premiere in theaters on August 15, 2025.

Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie are two names that come up together a lot, but nothing ever happens. However, if a recent report is to be believed, the two might be cooking up something special.
According to Star Magazine, the two actors have been spending some quality time together lately. As per their source, Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie have been meeting up in places like London and Los Angeles without anyone knowing.
Apparently, it is important for them to keep their meet-ups under wraps. The source stated, “They’ve gotten together in London and L.A. without anyone catching on. They go to great lengths to stay under the radar.”
Depp and Jolie’s bond dates all the way back to 2010, when the two starred in Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck’s romantic thriller, The Tourist. At that time, though, romance was out of the question since the two were...

Johnny Depp is recalling the moment he was asked to step down from his role in the Harry Potter prequel series Fantastic Beasts amid personal turmoil.
The actor sued The Sun newspaper for a 2018 story that described him as a “wife-beater” during his marriage to Amber Heard. After losing the lawsuit in 2020, Warner Bros. dropped him from the role of Gellert Grindelwald.
“It literally stopped in a millisecond, like, while I was doing the movie,” Depp said in an interview with The Telegraph. “They said we’d like you to resign. But what was really in my head was they wanted me to retire.”
In a statement from November 2020, Warner Bros. released a statement announcing Depp would no longer be part of Fantastic Beasts, saying, “Johnny Depp will depart the Fantastic Beasts franchise. We thank Johnny for his work on the films to date. Fantastic Beasts 3 is currently in production,...

Johnny Depp isn’t mincing words when it comes to his sudden dismissal from Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. In a new interview with The Telegraph, the actor revealed what really went through his mind when Warner Bros. politely asked him to step away from the Harry Potter prequel franchise.
His internal response? “F*ck you. There’s far too many of me to kill. If you think you can hurt me more than I’ve already been hurt you’re gravely mistaken.”
Depp had only filmed one day on Secrets of Dumbledore before his departure, which came just 24 hours after he lost his 2020 libel case against The Sun, which referred to him as a “wife beater.” The UK court ultimately ruled the outlet’s characterization of Depp was “substantially true.” What followed was a formal thank-you and farewell from Warner Bros., who said at the time: “Johnny Depp...

At long last, Johnny Depp is breaking his silence on his feelings about being fired from the Fantastic Beasts films, and his words are startling!
The Fantastic Beasts franchise never worked out the way Warner Bros wanted. The studio figured they had a winner by in this Harry Potter prequel series. They were so sure it would be a hit that they agreed to a five-picture deal before the first film was released.
Set in the 1920s, the saga focused on America as Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) traveled to New York hunting exotic animals from the Wizarding World. He’s soon involved in various misadventures that involve Gellert Grindelwald, an infamous dark wizard, basically the Voldemort of his time.
The villain of the film was apparently Auror Percival Graves (Colin Ferrell). However, in a big twist, it turned out he was Grindelwald in disguise, played by Johnny Depp. That was...

Johnny Depp told The Telegraph in a recently-published profile that he remembered thinking “fuck you” when Warner Bros. asked him to exit his role of Gellert Grindelwald during the making of “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.” The decision was made a day after Depp lost his 2020 libel trial against The Sun. The actor sued the U.K. publication for referring to him as a “wife beater,” but the court ruled this characterization of Depp was “substantially true.”
Warner Bros. said in a statement after the verdict: “Johnny Depp will depart the ‘Fantastic Beasts’ franchise. We thank Johnny for his work on the films to date.”

Johnny Depp is detailing just how not fantastic his experience was in the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise amid his controversial defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp had only filmed a single scene for the third film, “The Secrets of Dumbledore,” before being asked to walk away.
Depp was fired from the “Harry Potter” prequel film series after he first lost a UK libel trial in November 2020 relating to abuse allegations from Heard. Depp later sued Heard stateside, in part citing the loss of the role as damages (his “Fantastic Beasts 3” salary was revealed to be a reported $16 million). Mads Mikkelsen was recast in Depp’s part of wizard Gellert Grindelwald, with the third film being released in March 2022.
Now, Depp isn’t mincing words when it comes to the Wbd franchise. “Listen, they’ve said all kinds of things out there in the world about me, and it doesn’t bother me.

Fantastic Beasts star Johnny Depp was fired from the Harry Potter spinoff series and was replaced by actor Mads Mikkelsen as Gellert Grindlewald in later movies.
Depp was originally cast as Fantastic Beasts' central villain in the series, though his tenure was short-lived following his recast. Since, the actor has shared his reaction to being recast, per The Telegraph. Depp told The Telegraph: “Listen, they’ve said all kinds of things out there in the world about me, and it doesn’t bother me. I’m not running for office. It literally stopped in a millisecond, like, while I was doing the movie. They said we’d like you to resign. But what was really in my head was they wanted me to retire."
Depp was asked what his response to the firing was, and it was something obscene. "F*** you. There’s far too many of me to kill.

The prosecutor made a bold prediction during her closing argument.
“For 20 years, the defendant got away with his crimes — that ends in this courtroom,” declared Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey last week in the government’s case versus Sean “Diddy” Combs. “It is time to hold him accountable … the defendant is not a God.”
Perhaps not. But Combs is a massive celebrity. And what’s becoming increasingly apparent is that celebrity #MeToo cases — whether criminal or civil — are intensely difficult to win when up against a big name.
In addition to Combs being found not guilty of the most serious charges brought against the rap mogul, we’ve seen similar mixed results in other high-profile cases that involved intense media attention and a large outpouring of resources in the pursuit of “guilty” verdicts against celebrities accused of sex crimes:

Johnny Depp isn’t hiding anymore. He’s not on a big movie set or walking red carpets. Instead, he’s tucked away in a small caravan on a street in Budapest, chain-smoking roll-ups and going over pages of a script. After two decades, he’s back doing something he hasn’t done in a long time, directing.
His new film, Modìgliani: Three Days on the Wing of Madness, tells the story of the Italian painter Amedeo Modigliani during just three intense days in 1916 Paris. Depp says the film, which comes out on July 11, isn’t just about art. It’s about chaos, pain, and survival, which also mirrors his own life.
For the past several years, Depp hasn’t been making movies. He’s been in courtrooms. He was accused by his ex-wife Amber Heard of physical abuse, which he denied. In 2020, he lost a libel case in the...

Johnny Depp is back behind the camera, but this time it’s not for another blockbuster or franchise film. He’s directing a movie again for the first time in two decades, and it means more to him than ever.
The film is Modìgliani: Three Days on the Wing of Madness, based on the life of Italian artist Amedeo Modigliani. Set in Paris in 1916, the story follows three days in the artist’s wild and troubled life. Depp isn’t just directing, he’s fighting to reclaim a career that, for a while, seemed completely out of reach.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Depp finally opened up about being pushed out of Hollywood, especially when he was asked to step down from Fantastic Beasts, part of the Harry Potter spin-off series. After losing a libel case in 2020 related to abuse allegations made by his ex-wife Amber Heard, Depp...

Johnny Depp played Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, or at least he did, until Warner Bros. asked him to step down from the role due to his very public legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard. Now, the actor has reflected on being booted from the franchise.

With Johnny Depp part of a very public legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard, Warner Bros. made the controversial decision to replace him as Gellert Grindelwald in Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore.
Doctor Strange and Casino Royale star Mads Mikkelsen stepped in to pick up where Depp left off with the threequel, and the response to his take on the villain was a positive one for the most part. However, fans and critics liked little else about the sequel, and the franchise has since been scrapped (leaving the story unresolved and unlikely to ever be concluded).
Depp's dismissal is far from the sole reason The Secrets of Dumbledore grossed only $407.2 million worldwide on a $200 million budget. However, the fact that he was essentially fired after shooting one scene didn't foster much goodwill from those who rallied around the Pirates of the Caribbean star in his war with Heard.

Fallen Hollywood icon Johnny Depp discusses being fired from Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore. In 2016, Warner Bros. and the Wizarding World franchise seemingly had a big get with the reveal that Johnny Depp had signed on to play the dark wizard Gellert Grindelwald for a cameo in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, with him being set up to be the main villain across the five planned films. However, the casting came five months after Depp's then-wife, Amber Heard, filed a restraining order against Depp, accusing him of domestic abuse. By 2020, Warner Bros. asked Depp to step down after the actor lost his U.K. libel case against The Sun, which had accused him of being a domestic abuser.

Johnny Depp addresses losing the role of Gellert Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise and reveals his perspective on his firing from the project. Indeed, Depp's exit from the third Fantastic Beasts movie has been subject to controversy since his 2022 trial, yet this is the first time the actor has spoken directly about his departure.

Though the actor has since gone on to rebuild his image in part, the "What if?" surrounding his take on Grindelwald remains in the minds of Potterheads worldwide.

John Carpenter hasn't directed a feature film since the release of 2010's "The Ward," a mental hospital thriller starring Amber Heard. It also came after a long hiatus in Carpenter's filmmaking career, as he hadn't released a film since "Ghosts of Mars" in 2001. His only directorial gigs in the interim were two episodes of the "Masters of Horror" anthology project, released in 2005 and 2006. Carpenter was no longer prolific ... and he seemed to like it that way. He often mentioned in interviews that he was content to compose music at home and while away the hours with video games. He once expressed happiness that so many of his films had been remade as he receives a paycheck for doing absolutely no work. Carpenter is a refreshingly unpretentious filmmaker.
"The Ward," rather bafflingly, came and went in 2010 without much fanfare. Despite Carpenter's status as one of the most celebrated horror directors of his generation,...

More than three years after the verdict that shook both Hollywood and the internet, Johnny Depp is finally peeling back the layers of his turbulent past with Amber Heard.
In a rare, introspective interview with The Sunday Times, the 62-year-old actor opens up—not just about the courtroom battles that dominated headlines, but the emotional core that defined their beginning, shaped their downfall, and scorched everything in between.
A Brief History Between Depp and Heard
Their relationship, once wrapped in red-carpet glamor, began in 2011 and culminated in a short-lived marriage in 2015. By 2016, divorce papers were filed, and what followed became one of the most high-profile legal sagas in modern celebrity culture.
Depp, known for his poetic way of expressing pain, described how past relationships shaped his understanding of love—or perhaps, his misunderstanding of it.
“So, what were my initial dealings with what we call ‘love?’” he mused. “Clearly obtuse.

Johnny Depp has declared that he was a “crash test dummy” for the 2017 #MeToo movement, following his ex-wife Amber Heard’s 2016 allegations of domestic violence.
Heard’s accusations, accompanied by her filing for divorce, resulted in two highly publicized trials between her and Depp.
Depp filed a libel lawsuit against The Sun in 2018 following the news outlet labeling him a “wife-beater.” Following an op-ed Heard wrote for The Washington Post in 2019, in which she called herself “a figure representing domestic abuse,” Depp sued Heard for defamation. In 2020, the court ruled that The Sun’s description was “substantially true” and Depp lost the case. In a live-televised trial in 2022, the jury found Heard liable on all three counts of defamation. Heard ultimately won one of her three claims in the countersuit.

After reimagining Road House, filmmaker Doug Liman is set to reboot the Stephen King story The Stand. The tale has already spawned two TV series adaptations in the past, but Liman will be making a big change with this version, as it would be a singular feature film.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Liman is attached to direct a feature film adaptation of The Stand for Paramount Pictures. Tyler Hompson of Cross Creek Pictures is also serving as a producer on the project. Currently, a screenwriter hasn't been named, but with the change in format, they may have their work cut out for them with this adaptation.
The lengthy novel has provided plenty of source material for its TV series adaptations, and it may be a challenge to effectively tell the story with the same impact condensed into one movie. According to the report, Liman's vision is for a one-off story,...

The lengthy novel has provided plenty of source material for its TV series adaptations, and it may be a challenge to effectively tell the story with the same impact condensed into one movie. According to the report, Liman's vision is for a one-off story,...

Stephen King’s “The Stand” is getting a new adaptation, with Paramount securing Doug Liman to direct the new adaptation of the author’s apocalyptic 1978 tome.
Liman will also produce along with Tyler Thompson of Cross Creek Pictures, with the two previously collaborating on “American Made,” the based-on-a-true-story drama starring Tom Cruise.
Largely thought to be one of King’s greatest accomplishments, “The Stand” takes place in the aftermath of a pandemic caused by a weaponized virus (dubbed Captain Trips), where the survivors are either swayed by the forces of good or those of evil, personified by Randall Flagg, who would go on to become a recurring figure in some of King’s other work, most notably the “Dark Tower” series of novels.
In 1990 King updated and expanded the novel, moving the events from 1980 to 1990 and including more than 400 pages that were cut from the initial printing. The resulting book,...

Stephen King’s “The Stand” may finally be heading to the big screen.
Filmmaker Doug Liman is attached to direct a feature film of the post-apocalyptic bestseller for Paramount Pictures, with Cross Creek Pictures’ Tyler Thompson on board to produce. The project does not yet have a script, however, so development may take some time as Liman and the studio winnow King’s novel — which runs 1,153 pages in its 1990 unabridged version — into a single movie. But the studio sees the movie as a priority and is moving forward aggressively to make it happen.
“The Stand,” first published in 1978, was previously adapted as a television miniseries for ABC in 1994, starring Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald, Rob Lowe, Ruby Dee and Laura San Giacomo; and again for Paramount+ (née CBS All Access) in 2020, starring James Marsden, Odessa Young, Alexander Skarsgard, Whoopi Goldberg and Amber Heard. However, the story’s epic scope — using the...

THR reports that Doug Liman is set to direct The Stand for Paramount Pictures. The novel, which is considered to be one of Stephen King’s best, deals with a deadly pandemic that kills nearly the entire population. The survivors are drawn to two opposing communities, one led by the kind, prophetic Mother Abagail and the other by the sinister, demonic Randall Flagg. This all leads to a final battle between good and evil. The search is now on for a writer to tackle the project. In addition to directing, Liman will also produce alongside Tyler Thompson of Cross Creek Pictures.
At 1,152 pages, The Stand is King’s longest book. While you might think that Paramount will be viewing this as something that will span multiple films, sources tell THR that “Liman and the studio have a particular take and that the feature would be a one-off, not a multi-movie endeavor.

Long before they faced off in one of Hollywood’s most public courtroom battles, Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship was already showing serious cracks.
One major source of tension was none other than James Franco. In 2014, while filming The Adderall Diaries, Heard said Depp’s jealousy over her working with Franco spiraled into explosive arguments. She claimed things reached a disturbing low during a private flight, where Depp allegedly shouted at her, threw things, and even physically lashed out.
Depp, however, firmly denied ever hitting Heard and said she was the one fueling their fights. He also said she once called Franco “creepy,” which made it even harder for him to understand why she worked with him again. Here is what he said in detail!
Why Johnny Depp didn’t trust James Franco around Amber Heard!
