Barcelona, July 30 (Ians) Indian women’s hockey team defeated host Spain 3-0 to win the three-nation 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation International Tournament, here on Sunday.

Vandana Katariya (22′), Monika (48′), and Udita (58′) scored as the team remained undefeated in the tournament. India had drawn 1-1 with England and 2-2 with Spain in their previous matches.

Table toppers India got off to a strong start as they worked a disciplined structure with short, accurate passes that allowed them to create space in the circle. But an Indian goal remained elusive in the first quarter.

Meanwhile, the hosts created some good chances in the final five minutes of the first quarter, but India’s captain and goalie Savita guarding the post was outstanding in her saves when Spain was awarded a PC in the 11th minute, and she also averted a potential field goal opportunity, keeping the score at 0-0.

Barcelona (Spain) July 27 (Ians) The Indian women’s hockey team came from behind to hold hosts Spain to a thrilling 2-2 draw in its second match of the 100th Anniversary Spanish Hockey Federation – International tournament (Torneo del Centenario), here on Thursday.

For India, Navneet Kaur scored a brace, while Xantal Gine (13′) and Laia Vidosa struck (26′) were the goal-scorers for Spain.

The first quarter began with Spain using the home ground advantage to put pressure on the Indian defence. But with Navneet Kaur starting an Indian attack from the right flank, Spain’s defence had to remain cautious.

A long pass from a Spanish player allowed Marta Segu to penetrate inside the circle and go one-on-one against Savita. But, the Indian goalkeeper stood tall to avert the danger.

'2Graves', the feature directorial debut from new Irish helmer Yvonne McDevitt, is nearing completion of its post-production grading at London's Post Factory having wrapped sound-post at Ardmore Sound Studios in Ireland. Produced by Edwina Forkin at Zanzibar Films, '2Graves' is written by British scribe Paul Sellar and is described as an "art-house revenge tragedy". The film is an adaptation of Sellar's theatre play of the same name and follows the story of Jock Topps, a man who sets out to avenge those he believes are responsible for his father's death, and in so doing he turns from adoring son to hard-bitten criminal condemned to forever re-live his own terrible violence. '2Graves' features performances by actors Jonathan Moore, Clara Perez and Seamus Casey.
