The official YouTube channel for Japanese singer Kenshi Yonezu has started streaming a new full-animation music video for "Donut Hole" featuring vocaloid Gumi on vocals. "Donut Hole” was originally released on October 28, 2013 by Yonezu under his vocaloid producer name, Hachi . The song's original music video was also created by Yonezu himself. This time, a new full-animation music video was created based on the original drawings and drafts newly drawn by Yonezu. Yuki Kamiya ( Jujutsu Kaisen opening movies) served as director, alongside character designer Takahiro Chiba ( Haikyu!! chief animation director). August 19 is Haikyu!! Day in Japan, so it's about time for some big announcements! Today, we have two: a film art exhibition and a massive fan event. An art exhibition celebrating Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle will take place later this year. An X (formerly Twitter) account has opened for the exhibition , which will run from December 27 to January 22, 2025 in Tokyo's Matsuya Ginza. The event will showcase original art, goods and footage from the film, as well as offering original merchandise featuring the event's artwork (seen above). The official accounts for the Haikyu!! anime series revealed a bunch of updates for the volleyball anime’s roster today, taking the worldwide box office total off the bench as well as announcing “Last Match“ screenings for the Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle anime film. As of Monday, July 8, Haikyu!! The Dumpster Battle has passed 20 million yen at the worldwide box office, with 11.21 billion yen (US$74.32 million) of that coming from screens in Japan. That makes the film part of the top 20 highest-grossing anime films of all time worldwide while continuing to be the 15th highest-grossing anime film in Japan and the 35th highest-grossing movie overall. The Dumpster Battle has made 8.75 billion yen (US$58.35 million) on the back of over 6.1 million tickets sold for the volleyball flick. On the all-time Japanese box office charts, Haikyu!! Haikyu!! Final , a film in two parts adapting the popular volleyball manga, has published a new trailer ahead of its upcoming Japanese theatrical release. The first of the two Haikyu!! Final films begins screening in Japanese cinemas on February 16, 2024. The original Haikyu!! manga by Haruichi Furudate was serialized from 2012 – 2020 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Viz Media. Susumu Mitsunaka writes and directs the Haikyu!! Last month, it was announced that the decisive volleyball match between Karasuno and Nekoma would be shown on IMAX screens in Japan when the first Haikyu!! Final anime film opens. And while we can't wait to see everyone on both teams in action, the new poster for the IMAX release shows what everyone's really here to see: the face-off between Hinata and Kenma.
