‘Batman Vs. Terminator’ Animated Short Hits Sweet Spot For Crossover Fans
The following ‘Batman Vs. Terminator’ animated fan-film from Tony Guerrero and Mitchell Hammond has just started making rounds on the internet, illustrating a story that many of us early 90s comic book readers have longed to see. This impressive 5-minute crossover tells the story of the Dark Knight who sets out across the country to meet up with the man determined “to neutralize the electronic menace – John Connor.”

According to Hammond’s blog, the film took four years to make and started as a project to learn animation. Hammond described that making the video was “fun while it lasted. Agonizing, depressing, anxiety-ridden with a gain in asthma and Ibs through paranoia induced fun.” Due to the difficultly he experienced, Hammond went on to say that its unlikely he will create any more videos.

Batman Vs. Terminator Fan-Made Animated Short
From Mitchell Hammond: "Thirty years have passed since Bruce Wayne survived Skynet's nuclear blasts in August of '97. Iron demons now roam the planet, and without the requirement to defend the innocent against crime and injustice, Wayne has seeked refuge in the bomb shelter that saved his life; the Batcave. Having scavenged the wasteland for resources, he discovers the radio of a dead soldier. There is static over a frequency. Flesh and blood is rising up to the west. With The Stinger; a riot control vehicular unit built before the apocalypse along with a refitted bomb blast vest, Batman makes his way across what remains of the United States to join forces with the man determined to neutralize the electronic menace - John Conner. Original Concept - Tony Guerrero. Original Music - Noir Deco (http://bit.ly/1eeAlvS). Animation/Sound Editing - Mitchell Hammond.

Cool Videos: Animated Batman vs. The Terminator!
So, this is pretty cool. Animator Mitchell Hammond has created a very cool animated short, simply titled Batman vs. The Terminator, based on a concept Tony Guerrero. Showing the Caped Crusader in similar garb to his The Dark Knight Returns outfit and utilizing a similar tank-like Batmobile, the story takes place in the same universe as that of The Terminator, particularly the future. It's a clever, action-filled short that makes good use of the setting and shows a lot of potential for a...
