Jim McCaffree
- Actor
Jim McCaffree is a native of Central Illinois who majored in theatre at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and decided to go to law school after graduation. After dropping out of law school, he moved to Chicago, where he took improvisation classes at Second City, IO, and the Annoyance Theatre and performed plays in tiny storefront theaters. Getting tired of that, he moved to Los Angeles, where he performed improvised theatre at now-defunct Hothouse Theater. He has appeared in a variety of TV shows and commercials and plays in tiny storefront theaters.
Since his wheelhouse is comedy, he decided to give standup comedy a shot, and eventually decided to merge his character acting and standup experience and write his first solo show, which became Jim McCaffree - National Treasure. National Treasure premiered at the Whitefire Theatre (LA) Solofest 2024, where it won the Encore Award. National Treasure was then performed Off-Broadway at United Solo Festival.
Jim still performs standup comedy and is working on his next solo show.
