Alina Zhang, a Chinese actress born in Tian Jin, graduated from the University of New South Wales in Australia. She won the title of Miss China Universe in 2004 and went on to represent China in the 53rd Miss Universe beauty pageant. She served as a U.N. Ambassador for Chinese Charity as well as an ambassador for the Pink Fund Star Public Service.
In 2004, Alina began her acting career as a result of winning the Miss China Universe title. She was well known in 2009 for starring in the time-travel drama series The Myth. She also appeared in the period drama series Epoch Making followed by starring in Baby in 2013. In 2014, Alina received recognition for her role in the critically acclaimed family and legal drama series Divorce Lawyers. Shortly after, she appeared in multiple drama series such as the Ice Fantasy and Weekend Parents. In 2017, she received a best-supporting actress nomination for starring in the family drama series Little Husband during the 22nd Hua Ding's China Top 100 TV Series' Awards. In 2018, her strong portrayal of "Su Nan" in the Tencent web series of The Tomb of Sea won her praise from the audiences.
Last year for the first time in Alina's career, she became an Executive Producer and developed her first television series, Princess Silver, an epic costume drama series about a princess and her inner struggles and personal growth. The series aired on Tencent, iQiyi and Youku streaming platforms and it became one of the most-watched series during that period (the series achieved a cumulative of 2.7 billion views on Tencent platform alone). Her next producing project Cross Fire, another most anticipated web series in China, has already started production in May.
