Netflix, as one of the best streaming services available, is known for offering a wide variety of films to its consumers. Every month, plenty of new movies are added to the platform, but, unfortunately, the streaming service is forced to remove some hits as well.
In February 2025, for example, several successful films such as Dune, Snowpiercer, and The Fast and the Furious franchise were removed, leaving many people out of the loop. So, if you're one of those individuals with a long list of films to view, some of them may leave Netflix sooner than you imagine. With that in mind, here's every movie leaving Netflix in March 2025.

Bad news for action movie fans, as a thriller with 91% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes is all set to abandon Netflix soon. Released back in 2019, the action thriller 21 Bridges features the late, great Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman in the lead as an NYPD detective on the hunt for a pair of cop killers. Boasting a reliably charismatic performance from Boseman, 21 Bridges proved divisive among critics and audiences, but is well worth any and every action movie fan’s time. But you don’t have long.
Directed by Brian Kirk, written by Adam Mervis and Matthew Michael Carnahan, and produced by Avengers: Endgame’s Joe Russo and Anthony Russo, 21 Bridges stars Chadwick Boseman alongside Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Taylor Kitsch, Keith David, and J. K. Simmons. 21 Bridges is now all set to leave Netflix in the United States at the end of this week on February...

Netflix and creator Kurt Sutter have parted ways on the streamer’s western The Abandons.
Sutter, who created the drama and was serving as showrunner, left the show over creative differences with Netflix. The Abandons, set in the Oregon Territory in the 1850s, has a few weeks of production on its season remaining and will continue filming in Calgary, Alberta.
Netflix declined comment.
Netflix gave a straight-to-series order to The Abandons in October 2022. The series, which stars Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson, centers on a group of outlier families in 1850s Oregon who come together to fight a corrupt, wealthy power that wants to force them off their land. The cast also includes Nick Robinson, Diana Silvers, Lamar Johnson, Natalia del Riego, Lucas Till, Aisling Franciosi, Toby Hemingway, Michael Greyeyes, Ryan Hurst, Katelyn Wells, Clayton Cardenas, Elle-Maija Tailfeathers, Brían F. Deadline reports that Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter has exited The Abandons just three weeks before production on the first season of the Netflix series was slated to wrap. As always, the reason apparently comes down to those dreaded creative differences.
The report states that Netflix was concerned when the initial cut of the first episode came in at 1 hour and 40 minutes. It proved impossible to trim the episode down to an hour, so they decided it should be split into two. This required some additional scenes to create a cliffhanger for the new premiere, which have reportedly been written but not shot. After viewing the unfinished split episodes and part of the third, Netflix felt they “looked a bit disjointed and not propulsive enough.” A meeting between Netflix execs and Sutter to address the concerns didn’t take place before he departed.

Kurt Sutter has departed his Netflix series The Abandons just three weeks before the Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson-led Western is set to wrap, according to a Thursday report from our sister site Deadline.
Sutter, who created the series, was also serving as executive producer and showrunner. The Abandons executive producer/director Otto Bathurst and co-ep Rob Askins will be overseeing the remainder of production, which will continue as scheduled.

Exclusive: This is a shocker — Kurt Sutter is out of the Netflix series The Abandons just three weeks before the sprawling Western starring Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson is slated to wrap production in Calgary. Sutter was the executive producer/showrunner on the series, which he also created.
The Abandons executive producer/director Otto Bathurst and co-exec producer Rob Askins will oversee the rest of filming — including reshoots, which will continue as scheduled with no new showrunner named. (Sutter and Bathurst are pictured in the above cast photo taken at the start of production in May.) The Abandons is about six episodes into its seven-episode shoot, I hear. Reps for Netflix and Sutter declined comment.
The departure is believed to stem from creative differences over the direction of the big-scale production as it is wrapping filming and headed into post. I hear an alarm went off at Netflix when the...

It’s been a few years since Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter first announced The Abandons, but the Western series has finally started shooting. Netflix announced the start of production of the first season of The Abandons in Calgary, with an official cast photo seen above.
The official logline for The Abandons reads: “As a group of diverse, outlier families pursue their Manifest Destiny in 1850s Oregon, a corrupt force of wealth and power, coveting their land, tries to force them out. These abandoned souls, the kind of lost souls living on the fringe of society, unite their tribes to form a family and fight back. In this bloody process, ‘justice’ is stretched beyond the boundaries of the law. The Abandons will explore that fine line between survival and law, the consequences of violence, and the corrosive power of secrets, as this family fights to keep their land.“

Today, Netflix announced the start of production in Calgary on Season 1 of The Abandons, a pulse-pounding action drama set in the West by Kurt Sutter via his SutterInk banner.
“I am fascinated by the metamorphosis of good into evil. What must transpire to drive the morally sound to become the dangerously corrupt,” said Sutter. “The Abandons explores those complex compromises through the most powerful human instinct — the love and protection of mothers.”

Netflix's new western series, The Abandons, reunites Sons of Anarchy stars for an exciting frontier tale set in 1850s Oregon. Creator Kurt Sutter's past struggles may find redemption with this stellar cast, promising violent, outlaw antics similar to his iconic show. The Abandons looks to recapture Sutter's former success with an impressive ensemble cast including Game of Thrones and Sons of Anarchy stars.
Netflix’s new western series, The Abandons, is turning into a Sons of Anarchy reunion for creator Kurt Sutter. Telling the story of a diverse group of renegade families in 1850s Oregon, the upcoming series is set to be led by Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey and The X-Files’ Gillian Anderson as the matriarchs of opposing frontier clans. Sutter, who also starred in Sons of Anarchy as the incarcerated Samcro member Otto Delaney, previously cast Michael Ornstein, who played his character’s onscreen prison friend Chucky Marstein.

Kurt Sutter has been moving on from the world of Sons of Anarchy and Mayans M.C. with the development of his upcoming Netflix series, The Abandons. Even so, at least one major name from the franchise will be teaming back up with Sutter as one of the stars of the new show.
Per Variety, Ryan Hurst is one of three new cast additions to The Abandons, a Western drama series in the works at Netflix. This marks a Sons of Anarchy reunion, as Hurst previously played Opie in the hit show created by Sutter. The actor is also known for his role as Beta in AMC's The Walking Dead. In recent years, Hurst has also had starring roles in the TV shows Paradise City and The Mysterious Benedict Society.

In the sixth-season episode of "Bones" called "The Finder," which aired in April of 2012, Brennan and Booth (Emily Deschanel and David Boreanaz) travel to the Florida Everglades to investigate the death of a maritime museum worker whose remains in the woods lead to the discovery of a fragment of a 17th-century map. The map may lead to sunken treasure (!) and our heroes know that if they find the rest of the map, they'll likely uncover a murderer.
To help with their investigation, the two agents hire an eccentric local named Walter Sherman (Geoff Stults), an old friend of Booth's. Walter is a kooky former soldier and head injury sufferer who possesses a bizarre, obsessive talent for locating lost objects. It's implied that Walter may even have semi-clairvoyant powers.

Spoiler Alert: The following story reveals plot points from Tuesday’s episode of CBS’ FBI: Most Wanted.
Julian McMahon said goodbye to his FBI: Most Wanted character Jess Lacroix in Tuesday night’s episode of the CBS series, and it was heartbreaking to watch for a multitude of reasons.
In the episode, titled “Shattered,” Jess and the team are tackling a complicated domestic violence case and are on the trail of the perpetrator, Harley Ross (Toby Hemingway), and the victim, his longtime girlfriend Lucy Carver (Kelly Swint).
Unraveling this particular case was intensive, as the team races against the clock to beat Harley— who is killing anyone who potentially has information on Lucy’s whereabouts— from finding her first.
Lucy ran away from Harley with the help of an underground network that uses an elaborate website scheme to save victims of domestic abuse. It’s worth noting, Harley is a...

"Harry Potter can kiss my ass!" Yep, that was the battle-cry of the Sons of Ipswich, the four teen witches at the center of 2006's The Convenant, a movie that definitely falls into the so-bad-it's-good category. We highly recommend a rewatch this upcoming Halloween season. Directed by Renny Harlin, the film starred Steven Strait, Taylor Kitsch, Chace Crawford and Toby Hemingway as high school students (never forget that swim meet scene!) who were secretly descendants of colonial witch families. Complications arise with the arrival of a newcomer played by Sebastian Stan, clearly warming up his antagonistic skills for his future in the MCU. While critics didn't exactly fall under...

"They told me you were the guy who kills killers." Stx Entertainment has debuted a third & final official trailer for the NYC action thriller 21 Bridges. We've seen two solid trailers previously, but the movie was delayed from a September release until late November. The title is a reference to the decision in the movie, during a citywide manhunt, to shut down and block off all 21 bridges that access Manhattan (and all the tunnels and trains). Chadwick Boseman stars as a disgraced detective seeking redemption who gets into the massive manhunt for a cop killer which leads him to discover a massive conspiracy that links his fellow cops to a criminal empire. The main cast includes Taylor Kitsch, Sienna Miller, J.K. Simmons, Keith David, Stephan James, Dale Pavinski, Gary Carr, Victoria Cartagena, and Toby Hemingway. So this looks it could be pretty good, or maybe not, only time will tell whether...

"Something's going on here." Stx Entertainment has finally debuted the first official trailer for an intense NYC action thriller titled 21 Bridges, formerly known as 17 Bridges. Don’t go around chasing monsters, because they might be real.
In Victor Mathieu’s directorial debut, The Monster Project is a very creative and scary film presented in the first-person point of view.
It follows a group of aspiring horror filmmakers, eager to raise their YouTube subscriber count, who post an online casting call for “real life” monsters to interview for their documentary. They find three participants and choose to film them sharing their haunted experiences in a mansion in the woods on the night of a lunar eclipse.
The film stars Toby Hemingway, Justin Bruening, Murielle Zuker, Jamal Quezaire, Yvonne Zima, Steven Flores and Shiori Ideta.
Lrm had an exclusive phone interview with Victor Mathieu for The Monster Project. Being a monster lover, he extensively talked about making these creatures come to life and the found footage style of filming in particular with night vision.

When Wes Craven passed away back in August of last year, The Girl in the Photographs instantly went from a film that had been flying under the radars of horror fans to one that was both immediately bittersweet as well as hotly-anticipated. Craven, shortly before his passing, executive produced the independent effort, and it will forever be the final film to bear his name. A sobering and depressing thought, regardless of the movie’s quality – which is of course what we’re here to talk about today.

'Black Swan' movie with Natalie Portman. 'Black Swan' movie review: Darren Aronofsky's 'most mature' effort Darren Aronofsky has one of the most amazing talents for not only crafting impeccable works of fiction, but also for framing these works against the backdrop of worlds the average person will never be a part of. In Requiem for a Dream, he took a stylized and brutal eye to the dangerous world of drug addiction. In The Wrestler, he gave us a brilliant and tragic human story set in the world of professional wrestling. In Black Swan, he gives us the fascinating story of one person's psychological downward spiral within the world of professional ballet. Black Swan, arguably Aronofsky's best effort, was surely his most mature to date. 'Black Swan': Nina and her 'ballet mother' Mark Heyman, Andres Heinz, and John McLaughlin's screenplay tells the story of Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman...

In a tweet heard around the worlds of teens, pop music fans and gossip mongers, Taylor Swift announced that she was indeed back in the studio. Swift, who put out her massively successful album "Red" in October, doesn't really have any business recording new material. Except for the fact that she's once again newly single.
The 23-year-old is known for lacing her lyrics with digs at her ex-boyfriends, most of whom are quite famous. To date, the singer reportedly counts John Mayer (who's 35), Jake Gyllenhaal (32), Joe Jonas, Cory Monteith, Toby Hemingway, Zac Efron, Eddie Redmayne, Conner Kennedy, Taylor Lautner and a veritable coterie of other actors and musicians among her former lovers. She's dated so many famous blokes that the boys in The Wanted have suggested she might want to just take a break.

While 2012 has been a big year for movies, it also played host to some major box office bombs. Children's movie "Oogieloves In The Big Balloon Adventure" famously crashed-and-burned, taking the title for the lowest-grossing wide release of all time, Tyler Perry's critically panned "Alex Cross" made $10 million less than its budget, and Gerard Butler's surfing flick "Chasing Mavericks" saw a total gross of just $5 million.
But the film that made the absolute least money this year? A little movie by the name of "Playback," starring Christian Slater. The horror film showed for one week at one movie theater, earning a total gross of $264. "Playback" played the week of March 16 - 22. Calculations from The Daily Mail show that approximately 33 people bought tickets to the movie to reach this total.

The end of calendar year is always the start of the awards season for movie fans, with critics' top 10 lists rolling out and award nominations being handed out. However, there are a few distinct honors that no film wants to receive. Today, Project X was named as the most downloaded movie of 2012, while the Christian Slater flop Playback was named the lowest grossing movie of the year, earning just $264 at the box office. Yes, just two hundred sixty-four dollars.
Playback was released in just one theater back in March, earning a paltry $252, adding another $12 the following week for a total domestic tally of $264.
