The cast of Laguna Beach just celebrated 20 years since they graduated high school!

MTV‘s 2004 reality series followed the lives of a group of high school students who must contend with love triangles, strained friendships and questions about their future beyond their lives in California.

Original stars Lauren Conrad, Lo Bosworth, Stephen Colletti, Morgan Olsen, Trey Phillips and Christina Schuller all graduated on the show in 2004 during the first season.

With most of the original cast, the show ran for two seasons, before going on for a third season with a new cast. It also spawned the spinoff The Hills, following Lauren Conrad and later Kristin Cavallari after moving to Los Angeles.

Throughout the time of the show, there were also several supporting cast members that were part of the friend group, but were not regulars on the series.

Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti finished recapping Laguna Beach season 1 on their rewatch podcast and made many memorable confessions. The show covered all 11 episodes of the MTV reality show's first season and several bonus episodes, which sometimes featured special guests. Trey Phillips, Christina Sinclair, and finally, Lauren Conrad all appeared on Back to the Beach with Kristin and Stephen. Fans praised the series and preferred it over The Hills podcast. While Kristin and Stephen are not dating, their chemistry as friends is stronger than ever.

The two are taking a break after finishing Laguna Beach season 1, but they'll be back to recap season 2 soon. During the show's second season, Lauren, Stephen, and their classmates are in college, and Kristin's friends are the new seniors. As the narrator, fans get an in-depth look at Kristin's life. However, most people remember Laguna Beach from its season one storyline, where Kristin and Lauren fight over Stephen.

Here's something I'm willing to admit: the Laguna Beach cast reunion has me more excited than my own high school reunion. Earlier this month, the stars of the influential early 2000s MTV reality show pledged to virtually get together if they could get over 500 people to check their registration status or register to vote for the upcoming presidential election. The heartwarming video featured an all-star roster consisting of Lauren Conrad, Stephen Colletti, Kristin Cavallari, Lo Bosworth, Trey Phillips, Dieter Schmitz, Talan Torriero, Morgan Smith, Christina Sinclair, and Loren Polster. Though quite a lot has happened since the show came to an end in 2006 - spinoff shows were spawned, impressive careers have blossomed, children have been had - it at times felt like little time had passed, as they went around sharing superlatives, behind-the-scenes secrets, and old memories.
