Jared Keeso's Shoresy Franchise Gets Disappointing Update From Network Exec: "This Is Not It"
Image
The future of Shoresygets a candid update from a top executive. Crave's spinoff of Letterkenny, created and led by Jared Keeso, has become something of a beloved institution all its own. The sports comedy focuses on Keeso's titular character as he attempts to bring the Sudbury Bulldogs to success, finding a whole new audience in the U.S. on Hulu. Shoresy season 4 debuted this past January, and a fifth installment is coming.

Justin Stockman, Bell Media’s VP of Content Development & Programming, addressed Jared Keeso's next project and the overall future of the Letterkenny franchise in comments to Deadline. Bell Media is one of the production companies behind Letterkenny and Shoresy, with Stockman revealing that there were efforts to make sure that his next series will be another Letterkenny spinoff. Although that won't happen in the immediate future, as Stockman explains in the quote below, it's still a possibility:

Bell Upfront: Elliot Page-Produced Comedy, Tom Green And Jared Keeso Shows & U.S. Acquisitions Set For Crave; Slate Also Includes First Co-Order With Versant’s USA Network
Image
Bell Media’s 2025/26 slate will include a comedy series from Elliot Page’s production house, new shows from Tom Green and Jared Keeso and a batch of U.S. acquisitions, as the Canadian broadcaster puts plans in place to supercharge streamer Crave with more network fare.

The Toronto-based owner of CTV and Crave – Canada’s biggest network and streamer, respectively – revealed the headline-heavy slate to advertisers today days after launching what the company called its “most competitive digital rate card,” a move that comes as networks explore how AI can help targeted digital ads offset falling revenues elsewhere.

As Bell’s VP of Content Development & Programming Justin Stockman said in an interview with Deadline: “There are a lot of mouths to feed between being the number one network and the biggest streamer, so we have a lot of content to acquire and commission.”

Crave, in particular, has grown as fare...

Netflix drops the Josh Hartnett news you have been waiting for
Image
Netflix very much wants to sell us on a new series they are making set in Newfoundland. To be fair, that's fine. Newfoundland is a fine part of Canada, and the Newfies have those weird accents—not weird in a bad way, but in an extremely strange, unique, and cool way.

There is not a lot to do in Newfoundland, though. The general view is that it remains rainy 365 days a year and has a constant drizzle. There is no factual evidence to support that, but that is what part of the series Peaky Blinders implies. Need to commit a crime, go to Newfoundland.

This somewhat plays into the premise of the Netflix series because while humans do not commit a crime, a mysterious sea creature does. He terrorizes a remote Newfoundland town (aren't they all?) and creates a lot of chaos. Shame on him (or her or it).

Josh Hartnett...

'Shoresy' Season 4 Review: Nothing's Gonna Stop This 'Letterkenny' Spin-Off Now
Image
What Jared Keeso and company have accomplished entering the fourth season of Shoresy is television magic. The spin-off about Letterkenny's foul-mouthed hockey defenseman proved there's more to "Waffle" Shore than filthy insults and bloody knuckles. That continues into Season 4, as Shoresy (played by Keeso) wrestles with his in-rink retirement. It's the part in every sports drama where the star athlete mourns their career and struggles to find happiness away from competition — for Shoresy, hockey is everything. Keeso's creative strengths remain prevalent as Shoresy continues to evolve beyond his one-note Letterkenny personality because, just like the title character's motto, this show refuses to lose.

Sandra Bullock Once Said That Daniel Radcliffe Should Have Played Wolverine In The MCU

Sandra Bullock believes Daniel Radcliffe is perfect for iconic MCU role (Photo Credit – Facebook)

“Wolverine people, can you please just f*ing cast him?” That’s Sandra Bullock rallying Marvel fans and execs alike to back her Lost City co-star, Daniel Radcliffe, as the next Wolverine. Bullock didn’t mince words in an interview while promoting their 2022 action-comedy, throwing her weight behind the internet’s favorite fan-cast.

But why Radcliffe? Let’s rewind. Ever since Hugh Jackman hung up his adamantium claws after Logan (2017), fans have been itching to know who will step into Wolverine’s iconic boots. Radcliffe, known worldwide as Harry Potter, has been a surprise contender on countless fan-casting lists, sparking endless debates online. Bullock, however, thinks the decision is a no-brainer.

Shoresy’s 10 Funniest Pick-Up Lines, Ranked
Image
The following article contains foul language.

Jared Keeso's hockey-centric Letterkenny spinoff Shoresy is driven by running gags and ongoing jokes, and few are funnier than Shoresy's never-ending pursuit of reporter Laura Mohr, which results in some absolutely hilarious pick-up lines. Not much is known about Shoresy's background, including what his first name is, but over the course of Shoresy the audience learns that there is more heart to the foul-mouthed hockey veteran than he would ever admit. Aside from his pet bird Big Sexy, his most significant soft spot is local reporter Laura Mohr.

Played by Canadian actress Camille Sullivan, Laura Mohr is a divorced single mother (and appears to be a high-functioning alcoholic) who occasionally interacts with Shoresy, the team captain, for insight on the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs. It becomes clear that Shoresy's earnest pick-up lines have won her over a bit over time, as she becomes friendlier...

Shoresy vs Letterkenny: Which Jared Keeso Comedy Show Is Better
Image
Canadian actor, writer, and producer Jared Keeso has produced two of the most universally-acclaimed comedies of the last decade in Letterkenny and Shoresy, and naturally, that invites conversation about which is the superior show. Both of the off-beat comedies feature casts of relative unknowns, and over the course of their runs have established a unique style of humor. Both shows are inherently rewatchable thanks to the rapid-fire jokes and outstanding quotes; in laughing at one, a viewer likely misses the next one or two.

Shoresy is actually a spinoff of Letterkenny, which debuted in 2016 to rave reviews and lasted for 12 seasons (and multiple specials). Shoresy has a number of connections to original Letterkenny characters, and Shoresy himself appears in many episodes of Letterkenny, although his face is never shown. With so many direct ties, the two shows are often compared based on their humor and heartwarming stories, but one show...

All 11 Real-Life Hockey Players & Media Pundits On Shoresy
Image
Shoresy, the spinoff series of Letterkenny, merges the sport of ice hockey with the fictional realm of television by casting many real-life professional hockey players and media pundits. Shoresy is similar to other sports comedies but tends to be more vulgar in its tone. The Canadian series follows the Sudbury Bulldogs as they risk the potential to be shut down. Luckily, Shoresy (Jared Keeso) stops this from happening by making a bet and reshaping the team to play better than ever before.

Praise has been given to Shoresy for its portrayal of First Nations characters and its placing of female characters in charge. For some of the cast members of Shoresy, this is their first acting job. This is because Shoresy, with all of its quips and comedic notes, still aims to depict a realistic ice hockey team and this is accomplished by casting actors with experience in the world of the sport.

12 Best Quotes From Shoresy
Image
Shoresy offers rapid-fire humor with more heartwarming quotes, adding depth to the central character. Despite limited episodes, Shoresy's insults and emotional moments make it a standout series. Shoresy's blend of humor and inspiration resonates beyond the hockey-themed setting, touching on universal themes.

Shoresy is Jared Keeso's hockey-centric spinoff from the beloved Canadian comedy series Letterkenny, and while the rapid-fire-style humor is very similar, Shoresy may be packed with even more gut-bustingly funny and surprisingly heart-warming quotes. The series centers around the senior league hockey player known only as "Shoresy", and features a more in-depth look at the mean-spirited insult machine who remained faceless throughout the entire run of Letterkenny. While Shoresy's mean streak is alive and well in Shoresy, the series infuses some genuine emotion into the comedy, and has plenty of moments of genuinely well-intentioned inspiration.

Shoresy season 3's ending implied that the saga of Shoresy is far from complete,...

Shoresy Hides A Heartwarming Connection To 2 Original Letterkenny Characters
Image
Shoresy is a spin-off of Letterkenny featuring NHL players and media pundits, infusing humor with heart in each episode. Sudbury's Peppi Panini restaurant is owned by the actors who play Tyson and Mia Sophia from Letterkenny, making their cameos in Shoresy likely. The connection between Peppi Panini and Letterkenny characters increases the probability of more cameos in Shoresy's future seasons.

Jared Keeso's beloved Canadian comedy Letterkenny spun off into the equally celebrated hockey comedy Shoresy, and the latter includes an under-the-radar connection to two of the original show's stars. Shoresy follows series creator Jared Keeso as the titular senior hockey team captain, and features a colorful cast of supporting characters, including quite a few real NHL players and media pundits. While both Letterkenny and Shoresy are known for their inappropriate humor, Keeso has always found a way to infuse a surprising amount of heart into each season.

Given the spin-off nature of Shoresy,...

How Old Is Shoresy In Letterkenny's Spinoff?
Image
Shoresy's age is ambiguous in both Letterkenny and its spinoff, with some clues suggesting he's in his early 30s. Shoresy's teammates on the Sudbury Bulldogs have varying ages, with some being younger than him. The show emphasizes the importance of maturity and experience, with Shoresy's wisdom setting him apart from his teammates.

By the time Shoresy premiered in 2022, viewers of Letterkenny were familiar with the cast of Shoresy and the actors, including the main character, Shoresy (Jared Keeso), yet Shoresy's age in the spinoff is never entirely clear. In Letterkenny, Shoresy isn't the main character, even though he has the same crude and blunt personality as he does in Shoresy. Ted Lasso Replacement Show With 100% Rt Score Perfectly Updates Paul Newmans 47-Year-Old Sports Cult Classic
Image
Shoresy, a spinoff of Letterkenny, has a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and is a mix of both Ted Lasso and a modern version of the 1977 cult classic sports comedy, Slap Shot. Shoresy, a Triple A-level ice hockey player, moves to a struggling team, the Sudbury Bulldogs, to save them from being shut down which is pretty similar to Slap Shot's plot. Creator Jared Keeso frequently pays tribute to Slap Shot, keeping its spirit alive and enriching the series' story and humor.

The perfect Ted Lasso replacement, Shoresy currently boasts a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. For fans of dramas and comedies alike, Shoresy is also the perfect modern-day update of a 47-year-old cult classic sports movie starring Paul Newman. Given that the show is a spinoff of the hugely popular Letterkenny a Canadian sitcom set in rural Ontario it makes sense that the always-humorous and often-irreverent Shoresy is also resonating with audiences.

What's Shoresy's First Name In Jared Keeso's Letterkenny Spinoff?
Image
Shoresy, a spinoff of Letterkenny, keeps the character's first name a mystery, adding to the show's humor and intrigue. Shoresy's background is explored in the show, but his first name remains a running gag, even with his love interest and family. Shoresy's face was never revealed in Letterkenny, and the character's mystique has evolved into a key part of his charm.

Shoresy, Jared Keeso's spinoff of the beloved Canadian comedy Letterkenny, is riddled with running gags, and none is more important than the show's refusal to reveal Shoresy's first name. Throughout Letterkenny, Jared Keeso's side character known only as 'Shoresy' became a fan favorite thanks to his outrageous and hilarious quick-fire insults, typically at the expense of the hockey players Reilly and Jonesy. Shoresy's popularity led to the mysterious character getting his own spinoff, filled with real-life hockey players and pundits.

Perfect Ted Lasso Replacement With 100% On Rotten Tomatoes Has One Big Advantage Over Apple's Show
Image
Shoresy, a spin-off of Letterkenny available on Hulu, is a perfect replacement for Ted Lasso with a similar premise and a darker, grittier tone. Shoresy season 4 is likely, as its ending leaves room for exploration and its production is less time-consuming than Ted Lasso's. Ted Lasso season 4 hasn't been confirmed, but there's potential for a reboot or a different format in the future.

Ted Lasso became one of Apple TV+'s most popular and critically acclaimed shows, and now its perfect replacement has one major advantage over the soccer series. Ted Lasso concluded in 2023, and any chance of season 4 seems unlikely with Ted Lasso season 3's ending coming full circle for the characters, including the show's title character Ted, (Jason Sudeikis), who leaves the UK and travels back to Kansas. Yet, the chance of Ted Lasso season 4 is conflicting as Nick Mohammed gave a promising update on the future of the show,...

The Perfect Ted Lasso Replacement Show With 100% On Rotten Tomatoes Just Dropped Season 3 On Hulu
Image
Shoresy season 3 blends humor and hockey intensity for a captivating Canadian comedy-drama on Hulu. Shoresy offers a gritty yet uplifting portrayal of team unity and personal growth, similar to Ted Lasso. Critics praise Shoresy for its coarse humor, character depth, and successful adaptation of Letterkenny's ideas.

The ideal replacement for Ted Lasso just released its third season on Hulu. It's been just over a year since one of the best TV shows on Apple TV+ concluded after three seasons. The Ted Lasso season 3 ending provided closure for most of its main characters: the titular Ted (Jason Sudeikis) finally left the UK and moved back to the US to spend more time with his son, while Rebecca stays at AFC Richmond and sells 49% of her shares among fans. AFC Richmond came second in the Premier League, falling short of their season-wide hope of winning.

Other Ted Lasso characters also received substantial closure,...
