Thunderbolts Star Lewis Pullman Almost Starred In Two Marvel Movies Before Playing Sentry
Image
After starting the year with the disastrous "Captain America: Brave New World," Marvel Studios has earned itself a surprise win with "Thunderbolts*." Placing the future of the "Avengers" namesake on a collective of rogue antiheroes from across the film and television spectrums of the Marvel Cinematic Universe turned out to be a great bet after all. That's largely because director Jake Schreier was given room to tell a singular story that provides a compelling reason why all of these traumatized characters would learn to confide in one another, especially in the face of an overwhelming threat like the Sentry.

Part of what makes the film's central antagonist so impactful is how Lewis Pullman's performance evolves over the course of the film. When he enters the movie, he's simply a guy named Bob -- or Robert Reynolds, if you want to be specific. No one really knows why he's there,...

Marvel's Sentry Actor Almost Starred In This Spider-Man Villain Movie
Image
Actor Lewis Pullman, who played the villain Sentry in Thunderbolts*, dodged a fighter jet-sized bullet as he came close to a role in a disastrous Spider-Man spin-off movie. Sony was building a universe of Spider-Man villain spin-off movies released in parallel to the MCU for years. But while Marvel Studios is back this year with the likes of Thunderbolts* and The Fantastic Four, Sony stepped away, seemingly ending its Spider-Man-adjacent universe in 2024 with the financial and critical flop of Kraven the Hunter.

During a recent interview with Kristian Harloff, Thunderbolts*' Sentry actor Lewis Pullman confirmed he auditioned for "something in [Kraven the Hunter]." Had the MCU villain actor landed this Spider-Man villain role, one can only imagine it would have cost him the role of Sentry and the bright future that comes with it.

Pullman never confirmed what role he was eyeing in Sony's Spider-Man Universe (Ssmu), but many...

Thunderbolts* Star Lewis Pullman Nearly Starred In Spider-man: Homecoming And Kraven The Hunter
Image
Top Gun: Maverick and Lessons in Chemistry star Lewis Pullman was never meant to play the McU's Sentry. Steven Yeun was originally cast in the role (marking a reunion with Beef director Jake Schreier), but 2023's strikes forced The Walking Dead star to drop out due to scheduling issues.

Having seen what Pullman did as Bob/The Sentry/The Void, it's fair to say that things panned out for the best. While Yeun would have likely done a terrific job, Pullman has put himself on the map with a star-making performance as the damaned superhero.

However, he very nearly made his Marvel debut years earlier.

For starters, Pullman auditioned for a lead role in Spider-Man: Homecoming a decade ago. Talking at the Thunderbolts* premiere, Marvel Studios Casting Director Sarah Finn revealed, "Lewis Pullman actually auditioned for me for the role of Ned Leeds in Spider-Man 10 years ago."

Jacob Batalon ultimately...

Before Thunderbolts*, Lewis Pullman Wanted to Join the Lowest Grossing Marvel Movie of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe
Image
Lewis Pullman has been in Hollywood for more than a decade now, but the fame he is currently garnering with his iconic performance in Thunderbolts* is actually unparalleled. At the very least, his portrayal of Sentry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is being so widely loved by fans that even fans are sure he is about to be on the receiving end of a skyrocketing career and stardom.

Surprisingly enough, there was a time before this entire prospect of him joining the MCU when Pullman almost joined Sony’s Spider-Man universe. What’s even more stunning is that this was through what turned out to be the franchise’s lowest-grossing movie, despite the lead’s outstanding performance: Kraven the Hunter. And now, fans are celebrating that it didn’t pan out for him.

Lewis Pullman Geeks Out Meeting Sentry Creator Paul Jenkins: ‘Such a Spectacular Dude!’
Image
Lewis Pullman is the newest superhero to join the MCU. After Steven Yeun stepped away from the role of Sentry in Thunderbolts, Pullman took on the part, and he couldn’t be happier.

So far, Pullman is thoroughly enjoying his time in the MCU, and fans are also embracing his performance, with some even calling him the best part of the recently released movie.

In a recent interview with Kristian Harloff, Pullman shared insights into the process of bringing Sentry to life. He also revealed that while on set, he had the chance to geek out with Sentry’s creator, Paul Jenkins, a moment he clearly cherished.

“I was geeking out with him and I was like I got to give you my number we got to stay in contact and he was so game and open and he was such a spectacular dude” Pullman said.

“I was sick and tired”: Robert Iler Partied in Vegas for Years After Rough Times in James Gandolfini’s The Sopranos as a Child Actor
Image
Remember Robert Iler from The Sopranos? The former child actor is most notable for his portrayal of A.J. Soprano, the son of Carmela and Tony Soprano and the younger brother of Meadow Soprano. He played this for almost a decade, and unfortunately, it took a toll on him that he decided to quit acting.

The show was one of the most successful HBO franchises, and the pressure to maintain that quality had its effect on the actors, particularly Iler. He was only 12 years old when he shot the pilot episode, and he spent a huge chunk of his teenage life working on television.

Star Wars: Ahsoka's Rosario Dawson Reveals the Trickiest Part of Wielding 2 Lightsabers
Image
Ahsoka Tano may make maneuvering two lightsabers look like second nature, Star Wars: Ahsoka’sRosario Dawson said, while it is “awesome,” it is a bit trickier than it looks on the Disney+ series. Dawson, appearing at Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Tokyo, told Cbr’s Grae Drake just what it was like working with two lightsabers.

“Actually, doing two together is quite awesome, and I’m so used to that,” Dawson said. “It’s certain moves where I have to go over the montrals, that’s where it gets really tricky, because you start, you’re practicing, and you got the feet down, and then you’re keeping it close to the body,” she said.

Montrals are the cone-like horns on the head of the Tortuga species that act as extrasensory organs and help them to anticipate movements around them.

'Whoa!': 'Star Wars' Fans React To Rumors That Natalie Portman Might Be Returning As Padmé Amidala
Image
Star Wars enthusiasts were thrilled when Hayden Christensen returned as Anakin Skywalker in the first season of the prequel series Ahsoka in 2023. Now, the buzz in Tinseltown suggests that Natalie Portman might reprise her role as Padmé Amidala in the show’s second season on Disney+.

Naturally, fans can’t get enough of the idea, taking to social media to share their thoughts. Podcast host Kristian Harloff disclosed that the May December actress, 43, might soon come back to the far, far away galaxy, suggesting that Portman is nearing an agreement with the studio.

Rumor: Natalie Portman could be returning to Star Wars in Ahsoka Season 2
Image
The Kristian Harloff Show has been heating up lately discussing the casting rumors of Ahsoka Season 2. Let there be a reminder as these rumors start to pile up that this is purely speculative, though Kristian says these rumors come from a reputable source. The rumor is that Natalie Portman is in talks with Lucasfilm to return to the role of Padme ‘Skywalker’ in Ahsoka Season 2. While exciting on its own, this rumor stacks with another that was broken on the same show that indicates Ewan McGregor is also returning to Star Wars in the second season of Ahsoka.

While it’s not likely that we would see Padme as a Force ghost given that she never displayed any Force abilities, there is a good chance she could pop up in a flashback sequence of some kind, or even an entire episode. When Ahsoka entered the World Between Worlds in the first season,...

Image
Stars Wars spinoff series, Ahsoka, has already seen Hayden Christensen reprise his role as Anakin Skywalker. According to the Hollywood rumor mill, Natalie Portman may be set to return as Padmé Amidala in Season 2.

Portman's rumored return to the faraway galaxy was revealed by podcast host Kristian Harloff, who said the actor was close to inking a deal with the studio. Star Wars: Natalie Portman Rumored To Be In Talks To Return As Padmé Amidala For Ahsoka Season 2
Image
Natalie Portman's Queen Padmé Amidala played a vital role in the Star Wars prequel trilogy, but didn't live to witness the events of A New Hope and beyond after passing away while giving birth to twins Luke and Leia at the end of Revenge of the Sith.

Amidala's death is what ultimately pushed Anakin Skywalker to fully abandon the path of the Jedi and allow himself to be consumed be the Dark Side of the Force.

The Disney+ Star Wars shows have allowed us to revisit earlier timelines in the Galaxy Far, Far Away, and though we have seen both Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen reprise their respective roles as Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin/Darth Vader, Padme has yet to make an appearance. She has showed up in The Clone Wars animated series and several Star Wars novels, but we haven't seen her in live-action since Rots.

Ahsoka Season 2 Rumor Teases The Return Of A Huge Star Wars Prequel Trilogy Character
Image
The latest casting rumor for "Ahsoka" season 2 could be good news or bad news, depending on what direction you want the "Star Wars" franchise to take. If you loved the return of legacy characters like Hayden Christensen's Anakin Skywalker, Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Temuera Morrison's Boba Fett, then you could be in for a treat. YouTuber and scooper Kristian Harloff said on his most recent podcast, "I got word that [showrunner Dave] Filoni is really trying hard to get this one character back. I don't think it's a signed deal yet, but it's close, and it looks like, in 'Ahsoka,' returning could be one Natalie Portman."

Like Christensen and McGregor, Portman was first introduced in the "Star Wars" prequel trilogy that released between 1999 and 2005. She played Padme Amidala, the young queen of Naboo and eventually the planet's representative in the Galactic Senate. Padme had an ill-fated...

'Ahsoka' Season 2 Eyeing Natalie Portman to Reprise 'Star Wars' Role
Image
Star Wars may take place in a galaxy far, far away, but it's not afraid of running around in circles. Ahsoka, the latest live-action Disney+ series starring Rosario Dawson, has already featured a bevy of iconic faces, most notably Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader. However, series creator and showrunner Dave Filoni is not done recruiting former Star Wars actors for his flagship streaming show. While many fans never expected the prequel era to make a resurgence in the past few years, the latest development surrounding Ahsoka will shock them the most. The show is reportedly close to adding another big name to its call sheet — Natalie Portman.

According to Kristian Harloff, Portman is close to signing a deal to reprise her role as Padmé Amidala in Ahsoka Season 2. Furthermore, Harloff speculates her return will be made through the same mystical plane that brought back old characters last season,...

Rumor: Ewan McGregor joins Ahsoka season 2
Image
Aside from Sir Alec Guinness classically portraying the pivotal guru Obi-Wan Kenobi in the original Star Wars trilogy, Ewan McGregor had the tall task of playing the younger version of the character in the prequel trilogy as well as the more recent titular follow-up series on Disney+. This might not be the end. Rumor has it that Ewan McGregor will be reprising the role yet again in the upcoming Ahsoka Season 2, as teased by Kristian Harloff of The Kristian Harloff Show.

As always with rumors, take these with a grain of salt. These are not official announcements. Kristian seemed reluctant to drop this tidbit near the end of a recent livestream, as it had yet to be confirmed by any of the trades. He claims this comes from a reputable source inside the industry.

Still, it's fun to speculate. Let’s consider the possibilities of how Ewan McGregor will return to Ahsoka!

DC Star's Dream Marvel Role Would Be Perfect For Tom Holland's Spider-Man 4 And The McU's Future
Image
A DC star has revealed his dream Marvel role, and it so happens that after Spider-Man 4 details were reported, the character could fit into that Marvel Cinematic Universe story. Tom Holland's Peter Parker has become one of the most popular live-action superheroes Marvel and DC have ever had. The McU's Spider-Man movies have been incredibly successful, with Spider-Man: No Way Home almost breaking the $2 billion mark at the box office. That means Marvel and Sony fully intend to continue their partnership and bring Holland back for more adventures as Spider-Man.

The actor has also said that he wants to keep making many more movies as the hero, and 2026's Spider-Man 4 will be his next solo film. The MCU has added many stars in recent years, with the Multiverse Saga allowing Marvel to get creative with its casting decisions. That led to Henry Cavill, DC's former Superman, playing...

The Mandalorian & Grogu: Rumor claims Clone Wars-era bounty hunter is film's main villain
Image
With the start of a new year, The Mandalorian and Grogu seems much closer than it did when announced by Lucasfilm a year ago.

As the movie premieres next year, and its production has reportedly wrapped, it's natural for people to speculate on its plot. Although any plot details have yet to be confirmed officially, recently, rumors emerged that the movie would focus on Rotta the Hutt. A few sources confirmed this, and the latest rumor suggests Rotta is the prime target of a well-known bounty hunter from The Clone Wars.

According to Kristian Harloff via Bespin Bulletin, Embo is the main villain of The Mandalorian and Grogu. Interestingly, Embo was voiced by Dave Filoni, who's a co-writer on the Mando movie with Jon Favreau. Bespin Bulletin confirmed that their sources back Harloff's claim regarding Embo being the movie's main villain, which doesn't necessarily make it true. However, it raises...

'Star Wars' Rumor Suggests Ewan MacGregor Will Return in 'Ahsoka' Season 2
Image
Despite Lucasfilm's struggle to get Star Wars feature films off the ground, the television side of things has continued to find success. For the past six years, the Disney+ streaming service has consistently produced multiple seasons of various animated and live-action television series — 2024 saw the release of both The Acolyte and Skeleton Crew, and 2023 gave us a third season of The Mandalorian and the first season of Ahsoka. And with a second season of the latter series on the way, new rumors about who might appear have begun to float around.

A new Star Wars News Net report based on reporting from Kristian Harloff suggests that one iconic Jedi is set to appear in the second season of Ahsoka. Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi is rumored to appear in flashbacks on the series, which will take place during the same time as the animated series The Clone Wars. Ariana Greenblatt...

The Mandalorian & Grogu's Lead Villain Has Been Revealed With Dave Filoni Reprising The Clone Wars Role
Image
The Mandalorian & Grogu is one of Lucasfilm's most intriguing - and exciting - upcoming projects. The movie started life as The Mandalorian season 4 but, similar to Moana 2, Disney CEO Bob Iger decided to shift it from streaming to theaters (making this the first big screen Star Wars story since 2019's The Rise of Skywalker).

Screen icon Sigourney Weaver has already joined the cast in a mystery role, while The Bear's Jeremy Allen White was recently tapped to play the "buff" Rotta the Hutt.

There's been no word on who The Mandalorian & Grogu's big bad might be, though it's not outside the realm of possibility that Moff Gideon will return, especially if the version who died in season 3 was indeed a clone. The Imperial Shadow Council is also set to appear but Din Djarin's main foe is reportedly set to be the bounty hunter, Embo.

Ahsoka Season 2 Rumor Teases An Appearance From A Beloved Star Wars Jedi
Image
The first season of "Ahsoka" marked the franchise's biggest swing yet in transforming the animated side of the property, spearheaded by George Lucas' heir apparent Dave Filoni, into the world of live-action. The fan-favorite Jedi (played by Rosario Dawson) finally received her long-awaited continuation after the events of both "Star Wars: The Clone Wars" and "Star Wars Rebels," as she teamed up once again with her old crew made up of Sabine Wren (now played by Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Hera Syndulla (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) in order to track down the missing Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi). The new series left us on yet another significant cliffhanger ending at the end of its first season, as old menace Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) had his sights set on conquering the galaxy at large.

All of this means the pieces are in place for a very busy and action-packed season 2, which was...

Rumor: Ewan McGregor Will Reportedly Reprise His Iconic Role As Obi-wan Kenobi In Ahsoka Season 2
Image
Earlier this week, we learned that Game of Thrones star Rory McCann will take over from the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll in Ahsoka season 2. If the cast is starting to come together, then work on the Star Wars TV series must now be well underway.

The first batch of episodes ended on a huge cliffhanger when Grand Admiral Thrawn returned to the main Galaxy and closed in on Dathomir alongside the Great Mothers. Ezra Bridger, meanwhile, reunited with Hera Syndulla, though Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren were left stranded on Peridea with no way home.

However, the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker was shown watching over them in the finale's closing moments, the first time we've seen the Jedi-turned-Sith-turned-Jedi in that form since Return of the Jedi.

It probably won't surprise you then that, according to Kristian Harloff, Hayden Christensen is expected to have a "pretty big role...

Work on Ahsoka Season 2 is moving forward, especially with Rory McCann taking over the role of Baylan Skoll after the passing of Ray Stevenson. Meanwhile, Ezra Bridger reunited with Hera Syndulla, but Ahsoka Tano and Sabine Wren were stranded on Peridea. In the finale’s closing moments, the Force Ghost of Anakin Skywalker appeared, hinting at more to come.

According to Kristian Harloff, Hayden Christensen will play a “pretty big role” in the upcoming season. Alongside him, Ariana Greenblatt is set to return as young Ahsoka. The most exciting news? Ewan McGregor could reprise his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi!

James Gunn’s Brother Sean Gunn Fires Back at Nepotism Allegations Against Dcu Boss and His Logic Is Unbeatable – “if you have a plumber…”

James Gunn is known for being a creature of habit. He has worked with the same actors more than a handful of times throughout his career, regardless of what project he is working on. Be it Michael Rooker, Daniela Melchior, Nathan Fillion, or Mikaela Hoover, he seems to stay at his comfort level when it comes to casting his projects.

However, there is one actor who gets the brunt of criticism for Gunn’s creative choice. His brother, Sean Gunn, has worked on almost every single one of Gunn’s films, resulting in many calling him a product of nepotism.

In fact, his DC co-star, Zachary Levi, even made a dig at him during an interview. Thankfully, Sean Gunn had the perfect explanation.

James Gunn Thought His Career Was Over After 2018 Marvel Firing
Image
James Gunn is sitting comfortably atop the superhero movie throne as the new co-president of DC Studios alongside Peter Safran. Gunn is also the director of the upcoming Superman, redeemer of The Suicide Squad, writer of Creature Commandos and Peacemaker, and has one of the McU's most successful trilogies – Guardians of the Galaxy – under his belt. But cast your mind back a few years, and you might remember things weren't always so peachy for James Gunn. In between his long string of successes, the filmmaker's career was nearly destroyed overnight.

Gunn's brother and frequent collaborator, Sean Gunn, recently spoke with Kristian Harloff about his upcoming roles in the DC Universe, including playing Maxwell Lord in Superman. During the conversation, the pair discussed James Gunn's brief stint in the Phantom Zone. "It was really devastating to me, personally, but I also was more worried about my brother, who I know, he...

'Superman' Star Sean Gunn Discusses Replacing Pedro Pascal as Maxwell Lord
Image
James Gunn's Superman has been the talk of the town ever since it debuted the jam-packed first trailer earlier this month. From David Corenswet's portrayal of the Man of Steel and the comic-accurate and vibrant direction, the newly rebooted DC Universe is already off to a strong start for audiences underwhelmed by previous Dceu movies. However, that doesn't mean certain elements won't be borrowed from the now-defunct cinematic universe. For instance, Superman will feature one of DC's most classic villains from the source material, previously played by Pedro Pascal in the much-maligned Wonder Woman 1984.

During an interview with Kristian Harloff, Sean Gunn, who currently stars in Creature Commandos as Weasel, discussed his upcoming live-action Dcu role in Superman as Maxwell Lord. Although it's unclear how large of a part he will have, Lord is well-known for being a formidable foe of not only Wonder Woman but the Justice League as a whole.

David Cornswet's 'Superman' Compared to Christopher Reeve by Frank Grillo

As James Gunn ushers in a new era for the DC Universe, he's introducing audiences to yet another Superman. Grillo sat down with Kristian Harloff to discuss his role as Rick Flag Sr. in the new Dcu. Flag Sr. will debut in the animated Creature Commandos, before jumping over into live-action with Superman. When asked about Corenswet's portrayal as Superman, Grillo had nothing but praise, and even compared him to one of the all-time greats. Superman Takes Flight In New Promo Art As Frank Grillo Compares David Corenswet To Christopher Reeve
Image
Despite taking on roles in the likes of Hollywood and Twisters, it's not unfair to say David Corenswet was a relative unknown before being cast as the title character in James Gunn's Superman.

Everything we've seen of the 6'4" actor suggests he's been perfectly cast as the iconic superhero. He looks the part, towers over his co-stars, and has packed on plenty of muscle to bring the Kryptonian to life in the new Dcu.

Now, Creature Commandos and Superman star Frank Grillo shared what he thinks makes Corenswet so perfect for the role in an interview with Kristian Harloff.

"Henry Cavill, beautiful dude. I mean, God touched him on the shoulder and said, 'I’m going to make you handsome,'" he started. "But with David, there’s something very Christopher Reeve about him. He’s got a stoicism. There’s a seriousness."

"First of all, I’m 5’10. The...

God Made Henry Cavill Handsome but David Corenswet Is the Closest Thing to Christopher Reeve: Frank Grillo Ends the Superman Debate With an Unbiased Opinion
Image
Ever since David Corenswet took on the role of the new Man of Steel in James Gunn’s upcoming Superman movie, there has been constant debate and comparisons between him and Henry Cavill. Given how Cavill is considered the face of DC’s Superman, it became difficult for people to accept Corenswet stepping into the role.

However, Frank Grillo addressed this comparison and finally put an end to the debate. During an interview with Kristian Harloff, while speaking about the upcoming trailer for Superman, Grillo praised Henry Cavill as a handsome dude, but compared David Corenswet’s performance and dedication with Christopher Reeve.

‘The Penguin’s’ Rhenzy Feliz Expresses Interest in Playing Miles Morales in Live-Action: “that would be fantastic”
Image
The Penguin recently finished airing and has received great reviews from both critics and viewers. Much of the praise goes to Colin Farrell’s amazing performance as Oz Cobb and the strong supporting cast.

One standout actor in the show is Rhenzy Feliz, who played Victor Aguilar. Vic’s story began with a heartbreaking start and ended tragically. While many fans hoped to see Vic become a villain, this week’s episode made it clear that won’t happen.

Although Rhenzy Feliz’s time in the Batman Epic Crime Saga Universe has ended, he’s not ready to give up on superhero roles just yet.

Feliz previously played Alex Wilder in the Marvel series Runaways, where his character is part of a group of teens who learn that their parents are involved in a villainous organization and join forces to stop them.

In a recent interview with Kristian Harloff, Feliz...

‘The Penguin’ Star Rhenzy Feliz Is Interested in the Role of MCU’s Miles Morales: “It would be an incredibly exciting thing to get to do”
Image
‘The Penguin’ recently concluded its run and it has received great feedback from both critics and audiences. A lot of the praise goes to Colin Farrell’s amazing performance as Oz Cobb and the strong supporting cast.

One of the standout performers in the show is Rhenzy Feliz, who played Victor Aguilar. Vic’s journey in the show started in a heartbreaking manner, and it ended rather tragically. Even though many fans hoped to see Vic transformed into a true villain in his own right, if you’ve seen this week’s episode, you know that option is no longer on the table.

Feliz’s run in Batman Epic Crime Saga Universe may have come to an end, but the actor is still not ready to give up on superhero roles.

Rhenzy Feliz played the character Alex Wilder in the series ‘Runaways,’ which is based on the Marvel comic of the same name.

'It's an Incredible Character': The Penguin Actor Wants to Play Miles Morales in the MCU
Image
Kevin Feige teased that a new Spider-Man could soon join the MCU. Actor Rhenzy Feliz shares his pitch for Miles Morales' live-action debut.

Rhenzy Feliz's breakout performance in The Penguin could land him his next big role in the MCU. The actor admitted he wanted to play Miles Morales since he saw Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. "I've heard the comparison ever since I saw the animation, since [the movie came] out," he told Kristian Harloff. "I remember watching it on the screen and going 'Holy s---' and I looked over at my friend, he's already looking at me like 'Dude, what the It looks so much like you'. I think at that point I was like 19, 18 years old and I was like, 'Oh please let's go make this movie, that would be awesome.'"

Why Star Wars Rebels Actor Was Against His Bad Batch Cameo
Image
Freddie Prinze Jr., who voiced Kanan Jarrus in Star Wars Rebels, admitted that he will no longer reprise his fan-favorite character in future Star Wars projects.

In Dave Filoni’s beloved animated series, Kanan Jarrus was introduced as former Jedi Padawan Caleb Dume who became a mentor to Ezra Bridger. The final season featured Kanan sacrificing himself to save his better half Hera Syndulla and other friends from Imperial forces. During a recent interview on Kristian Harloff’s podcast, Prinze opened up about his most recent voice cameo as Kanan in Star Wars: The Bad Batch, revealing that he actually didn’t want to do it because he believes it undermines his character’s heroic ending. "I was asked to, yeah. I didn't necessarily want to," he said. "I feel like every time you hear Kanan's voice since Rebels ended, it really kind of dilutes his impact."

Star Wars Fans Are Praising Robert Rodriguez For This Week’s Mandalorian Episode
Last week’s episode of The Mandalorian introduced Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka Tano into live-action, gave her plenty of chances to dual wield her lightsabers and also revealed Baby Yoda’s real name and backstory, so “The Tragedy” had a lot to live up to. And after an exposition-heavy outing, Mando and Grogu’s latest adventure was basically one long action sequence, and all the better for it.

Temuera Morrison’s Boba Fett returned alongside Ming-Na Wen’s Fennec Shand, forming an alliance with the title hero as they tried to protect The Child from an onslaught of Moff Gideon’s forces. An episode with so much going on needed a steady hand to steer the ship, so Jon Favreau wisely recruited Robert Rodriguez for his Star Wars debut, and the multi-talented filmmaker didn’t disappoint.

There have always been two sides to the career of Rodriguez, and he’s...
