After watching the two seasons of Andor, we now know that the Rebellion wouldn't have existed without the labor and sacrifices of Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgard) and his network of spies and rebels. They left such a dent on the Empire that dedicated Isb agent Dedra Meero (Denise Gough) chased them to the bitter end.
She named the leader of the rebel cell "Axis" after the incident on Ferrix in Season 1 and made it her life's sole purpose to capture the individual.
In Season 2, episode 10, "Make It Stop," she finally gets her moment when she surprises Luthen at his antique art gallery on Coruscant. This happens shortly after he learns about the existence of the Death Star from Rebel mole Lonni Jung (Robert Emms). But before Dedra can celebrate her win, Luthen stabs himself with a Nautolan bleeder.
He is kept alive on life support, but in no state to talk,...

Spoiler Alert !!!Spoilers ahead for Andor Season 2
One of Andor’s final moments sees its smartest yet most despicable antagonist suffer the consequences of his mistakes. Lio Partagaz is one of the two overarching villains of Andor, and he is finally given a sense of justice at the end of the show. The Isb chief dies by s*icide, choosing to end it even before he is captured by the Empire.
Partagaz’s death is poetic for Andor, as is the message it tries to convey. The series explores fascism and what it takes to destroy it, how absolute power takes control of narratives, security, economy, and more, and then uses all political materials to manipulate the people. Partagaz’s death signifies that even an Imperial major is not free from its clutches.

Note: This article contains spoilers from “Andor” Season 2, Episodes 10-12.
Ever since he was introduced in “Andor” Season 1 as one of the rebellion’s key founders, “Star Wars” fans have wondered what the ultimate fate of Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård) would be. There was no way, surely, that he could have lived through the events of the Original Trilogy, in which the Rebel Alliance mounts its war against the Galactic Empire, without ever being mentioned or shown.
To “Star Wars” fans, that seeming impossibility meant all along that it was unlikely Luthen would make it to the end of “Andor” alive. Those fans are proven correct in “Andor” Season 2, Episode 10, which says the goodbye to Luthen that both he and viewers long ago accepted was inevitable. The good news? Even when he finds himself completely cornered, Luthen still manages to go out on his own terms in “Andor.”

[This story contains spoilers through Andor season two’s eighth episode.]
In Andor’s season two premiere, Denise Gough’s Dedra Meero is paid a very specific compliment by Orson Krennic. Ben Mendelsohn’s Imperial Director recognized that the highly determined Isb Supervisor could foresee the future, particularly the pitfalls of his plan to seize the planet Ghorman through a propaganda campaign. Dedra then raised the added idea of cultivating a local radical insurgency, so that the Empire could ultimately use brute force to eliminate their manufactured “terrorist” threat and strip-mine the planet of its kalkite mineral to help fuel their forthcoming Death Star.
In the second chapter of creator Tony Gilroy’s first three-episode block, Dedra issues a plea to her superior, Major Partagaz (Anton Lesser), to keep her on the trail of Axis (Stellan Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael) instead of the secretive Ghorman assignment. But Partagaz quickly shuts her down out of respect...
