A Thursday, Forensic, and Kaun Pravin Tambe? emerged as the top three films in the list, followed by ‘Thar’ in the fourth position. ‘Darlings’, ‘Jogi’, ‘Cuttputli’, ‘Dasvi’, ‘Jaadugar’, and ‘Sharmaji Namkeen’ were the next films in the top 10 list.

Netflix is to release Indian revenge thriller Thar this summer, marking its latest collaboration with star and producer Anil Kapoor.

The streaming giant has teamed with Anil Kapoor Film Company on the film as it works to increase its presence in India’s highly competitive streaming market.

Thar marks the feature directorial debut of Raj Singh Chaudhary, who also wrote the script. Set in the 1980s, it centres on a man who moves to the city of Pushkar for a job but also to avenge his past.

Netflix has set a mid-year release date for “Thar,” a revenge thriller film starring and produced by Anil Kapoor.

Marking the feature directorial debut of screenwriter Raj Singh Chaudhary, the 1980s-set film follows the story of a man who moves to a big town to seek a job and to avenge his past.

Alongside Kapoor, the film also stars Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Satish Kaushik.

The screenplay is credited to Chaudhury, with dialog by Chaudhary and Anurag Kashyap. Cinematography is by Shreya Dev Dube and music direction by Ajay Jayanthi.

“The genre itself – a noir thriller set in Rajasthan that pays tribute to the genre of the classic Western is a first for Indian cinema and audiences. ‘Thar’ is a playground where the dynamism of new blood meets the experience of industry stalwarts, both on and off screen,” said Kapoor, who produced through his Anil Kapoor Film Company Network.

Mumbai, Sep 10: TV actress Shweta Tiwari, who has been celebrating Ganesh Utsav since the last seven years, says thanks to the lord's blessings, she is now living her life happily.

The actress has been through a lot of ups and downs in her personal life - a troubled marriage with actor Raja Chaudhary, with whom she has a daughter named Palak, and then a divorce.

Shweta recently married her long-time beau Abhinav Kohli in July, and says "right now I am all stress-free".

"I don't even come to know when the day comes and ends. I wish Ganapati keeps this forever," Shweta told reporters here Monday during the Ganapati.

The 13th edition of the Open Frame festival organised by the Public Service Broadcasting Trust (Psbt) will be held from September 11 – 21, 2013. The event focuses on the documentaries made by women, on women. The festival aims to inspire, encourage and bring about awareness on women’s issues through discussions and conversations between the audiences and the filmmakers. "I am working. I am shooting for a serial and I am busy with that, so I don't pay attention to other things. I have become sincere towards my work and don't care about other things," Raja told reporters Tuesday at his birthday party here.
