“Isn’t it fabulous?!”

It’s an unseasonably warm fall afternoon in New York City, and Keli Goff is walking THR through the pieces in her “cl-office,” a unit in her Manhattan apartment building that she has fashioned into a combined closet and office. An accomplished journalist and screenwriter, Goff has outfitted it with standard office necessities. But the rest of the space is brimming with her extensive vintage clothing collection — namely, more than 100 pieces by Black American designers. The “fabulous” one Goff is telling us about is a breezy leopard-print jumpsuit by Patrick Kelly. “McEnroe,” a documentary on tennis champion John McEnroe, has set a U.K. and Ireland theatrical release and North American play dates.

In the documentary, the tennis great reflects on his tumultuous career and personal life alongside film archive from some of the biggest matches in tennis history — including the US Open and Wimbledon — as well as home video footage from McEnroe himself. There are contributions from McEnroe’s children and his wife Patty Smyth and the film also features icons including Billie Jean King, Bjorn Borg and Keith Richards.

“McEnroe” had its world premiere at Tribeca earlier this year and U.K. premiere at Sheffield Doc/Fest in June. It is directed by Barney Douglas (“The Edge”) and produced by Victoria Barrell (“Bobby Robson”) for Sylver Entertainment, and Paddy Kelly, and features an original score from The Maccabees’ Felix White.

The film is co-produced by Dogwoof who are handling the U.

Longtime Days of our Lives actor Frank Parker died September 16 in Vacaville, California, from complications of Parkinson's disease and dementia. He was 79.

Parker played Grandpa Shawn Brady on the NBC soap Days of our Lives from 1983 until he retired in 2008. He was given a hero's exit from the show: His character was on a sabotaged airplane and gave up his oxygen mask to save his son, Bo (Peter Reckell). He also had smaller roles on the daytime dramas General Hospital (as Paddy Kelly), The Young and the Restless and Never Too Young.

Born on July 1, 1939 in Darby, Pennsylvania, Frank Russell Parker earned an acting degree from Carnegie Tech in 1962 and moved to Culver City to pursue his career. Days of Our Lives actor Frank Parker, who played Shawn Brady on the NBC soap for nearly a quarter-century, has died from complications of Parkinson’s disease and dementia, our sister site, Deadline, reports. He was 79.

Parker made his Days debut as the Brady patriarch in 1983 and played the role (opposite longtime leading lady Peggy McCay) until his retirement in 2008. On the show, Shawn died during an airplane disaster after giving up his oxygen mask to save his son, Bo.
