Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson Beat Up Cyber Criminals in New Amazon PSA (TV News Roundup)
Image
Michael B. Jordan and Tessa Thompson have teamed up once again — this time to throw cyber criminals against walls.

The two stars appear in a new cybersecurity awareness PSA from Amazon as a part of the company’s protect and connect program, which aims to teach Internet users how to protect themselves from phishing and other cybersecurity threats.

The PSA features Jordan and Thompson saving unsuspecting internet users from sketchy internet schemes. The PSA comes as a follow up on Amazon’s commitments at the White House Cybersecurity Summit in 2021.

“Being part of this PSA was an opportunity to work with Tessa again, one of my mentors — Paul Hunter, and to support the Amazon family to get this message out that cyber security and your privacy is really important,” Jordan said. “Nobody wants their information stolen. As much as you can protect your information, and your family and friends, you should do that.

Zaxby’s Super Bowl commercial tries to take advantage of Chick-fil-a being closed on Sundays
The Zaxby’s Super Bowl commercial caused quite a stir after it aired last night, as viewers picked up on the fact that they were trying to take advantage of the fact they are open on Sundays — and Chick-fil-a isn’t. The commercial, which was a local ad that wasn’t shown nationwide, was uploaded to YouTube by a user named Ryan Smith, showing two excited guys heading out for lunch on a Sunday. The commercial begins as a spoof of a TV show introduction, with Jeff Saturday meeting up with Rick Monday for lunch. The two show up at the restaurant so […]

Awww: The NFL Lockout Ends With A Hug
After four months of negotiations with literally hundreds of billions of dollars on the table, the NFL Lockout officially ended today. Rather than go into the boring, bureaucratic details of “what actually happened,” I’ve decided that the lockout completely ended because of this brave, adorable player-on-owner hug: See? That wasn’t so hard, big football men! That’s Indianapolis Colts center Jeff Saturday hugging New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft. So basically, the NFL equivalent of this photo. Just goes to show you, like I always say: Make Hugs, not Not Hugs.

NFL lockout ends, so when will you see football on TV again?
Our long national football nightmare is, for all intents and purposes, over: NFL players can start reporting to their teams' training camps on Wednesday (July 27).

The league's owners and player representatives from each team announced the end of the lockout at a news conference Monday that included the above image of New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft and Indianapolis Colts player rep Jeff Saturday -- both of whom were key players in the talks -- hugging one another.

The warm fuzzies from Monday will soon be replaced by frenzied coverage of free-agent signings, trades and other transactions as the NFL compresses what's usually a several-month process into a couple of weeks. Dedicated fantasy-league players will presumably be bleary-eyed from all the roster moves by the end of next week.

All that's well and good, but when will fans actually be able to watch the NFL on TV again? Pretty soon.

NFL Players Make A Call To Men To Prevent Domestic Violence
Charity organization A Call To Men has joined with the NFL and NBA to produce a ground-breaking new book that explores the relationship between fathers and daughters, with the aim of raising awareness of domestic and sexual violence prevention.

NFL Dads Dedicated To Daughters features a collection of inspiring personal accounts on fatherhood from the men of the NFL, including Donovan McNabb, Matt Hasselbeck, Tony Dungy, Jeff Saturday and many more. Each player shares his thoughts and opinions on what it means to be a real man in today’s society, while also talking about the role men play in preventing domestic and sexual violence.

A Call To Men was established to challenge men to reconsider their long held beliefs about women, in an effort to create a more just society. They achieve this by encouraging change in the behaviors of men through a re-education and training process that promotes healthy manhood.
