Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira and Kenneth Branagh are the latest stars to join the upcoming movie, which is being directed by Michael B Jordan, according to THR.

With Danai joining the cast, this reunites her with Mbj, after previously co-starring in Black Panther.

Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira and Kenneth Branagh have joined the cast of the Michael B. Jordan-directed reimagining of “The Thomas Crown Affair” for Amazon MGM Studios.

Additionally, Charles Roven has come aboard to produce the film via his Atlas Entertainment banner. He is producing alongside Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo via Outlier Society.

Jordan is not only starring in the romantic heist thriller but directing as well as producing with his Outlier Society banner. The company’s Elizabeth Raposo is also producing, as is veteran producer Charles Roven of Atlas Entertainment.

Deadline first reported earlier this morning that Belfast Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh would be coming aboard in an undisclosed, but potentially villainous, role for the romantic heist film. Following that, Killers of the Flower Moon Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone was added to the cast as well, followed by another report from The Hollywood Reporter this afternoon that Danai Gurira would be reuniting with her Black Panther co-star Jordan as his character's confidante. The trio will join the previously announced leads, Jordan and Taylor Russell, in the project, which will be the latest directorial effort from Jordan after making his debut on Creed III.

The Walking Dead universe's chances of merging after The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 have been clarified by Scott Gimple, who explains his plans. The ongoing spinoffs for The Walking Dead franchise follow familiar characters on different adventures in the world, telling new stories that expand the franchise's world. Dead City season 2 has been focused on Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) in Manhattan, while the upcoming Daryl Dixon season 3 will see Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) in Spain. Gimple has previously discussed the possibility of these spinoffs eventually merging as well.

In an interview with ScreenRant's Tatiana Hullender about The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 finale, Gimple clarified plans for the series' ongoing spinoffs to cross over at some point. The chief creative officer of the franchise reiterated how the larger plan is for characters to interact with one another again, "in small ways or big ways.
