Frightfest 2014: ‘Shockwave Darkside 3D’ Review

Earth. 2013. Some guy sits in his basement flat in a proverbial state of unemployment. His only goal? To perfect his game of Halo. Mission completed. So what next? Earth. 2014. Said unemployed guy has pumped all his energy into a sci-fi movie, shot in 3D and to be screened at Frightfest. The result? A film that looks, feels and sounds like a game of Halo!

And that, in a nutshell, is Shockwave Darkside 3D. Although to be fair, the official synopsis makes the film sound a hell of a lot more exciting:

Film4 FrightFest's Amazing 2014 Line-up Announced! New Images Revealed!
The line-up for this year's Film4 FrightFest in London has just been announced – and boy, is it a doozy! Sporting a record-breaking 38 UK/European premieres and 11 world premieres, this August is going to be an exciting time in the genre calendar.

Check it all out right here, including lots of new images!

This year Film4 FrightFest will be moving from its previous home at Leicester Square's Empire Cinema to the nearby Vue Cinema (also on Leicester Square), prompting an ingenious reshuffle of the screening arrangements.

All main screen films will be presented at different times across three different screens, with two extra screens reserved for single-slot screenings of the various films hitting this year's Discovery Screens.

Full Comic-Con 2010 Schedule for Sunday July 25th
Here it is gang! The full schedule for the final day at Comic-Con, Sunday July 25th. There really isn't much happening on Sunday, it looks like it's gonna be a pretty relaxed day. There's a few panels we are going to catch, but I think we'll be playing catch-up on some articles. Sunday is traditionally known as Kids day, which features 27 Special Programs just for Kids. I've highlighted all of the events we hope to attend below. We are also planning a meet-up at Comic-Con with all of our readers. Details on the meet-up will be revealed soon. Mostly Unhappy 'Greetings'
Cutting 30 minutes would have greatly benefited Greg Chwerchak's "Greetings From the Shore," an often charming romantic drama that outstays its welcome at nearly two hours.

I'd hazard a guess that producer Gabrielle Berberich resisted trimming her own autobiographical script about a young woman (Kim Shaw) who spends a summer in Lavalette on the Jersey Shore (where the film was nicely shot) after the death of her father.
