The Jump is a new sci-fi short film made by filmmaker Andy Sowerby, following an astronaut on a distant journey. The concept is intriguing, but the filmmaking is minimal - featuring mostly footage from recordings taken on the spaceship. The Jump is about an astronaut who embarks upon a pioneering solo mission into deep space, leaving behind her husband. Starring Roseanna Frascona as Nina, plus Philip Arditti and Raad Rawi. It's a short sci-fi drama about the elasticity of time, love, and loss. The film was produced for the Nasa short film competition CineSpace, where filmmakers are asked to make a short film, of 10 mins or less duration, that contains at least 10% footage from the Nasa Archives, using actual Nasa imagery within the film. We’re in the penultimate episode of this season of Strike Back. And this just happens to be the episode that we’ve been waiting for since Comic Con. No great action movie (or TV series as the case may be) is complete without a fight on-top of a moving train. This episode has just that. You can check out the gallery bellow to see Stonebridge and Scott getting their Strike Back on, atop a train.

The cool thing about this sequence is that Philip Winchester and Sullivan Stapleton did their own stunts. So when you see one hanging off a train and the other riding a bike in front of it, that’s not green screen or stunt doubles.

Toronto audiences will be among the first to screen films by directors Fred Schepisi, Alberto Arvelo, Reha Erdem, Dexter Fletcher, Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland, Megan Griffiths, Arnaud Larrieu and Jean-Marie Larrieu, Kevin Macdonald, Arie Posin, Charlie Stratton, Nils Tavernier and John Turturro.

Chicago – If you didn’t see the DC Entertainment splash screen when this “Red 2” sequel kicks off with the fake death of one of its usual suspects, you wouldn’t mind that the rest of the film feels nothing like a comic book movie except for its animated transitions between scenes.

No “comic book fan” would say this movie does the intensely cult-favorite genre any justice or holds up in even close to the same league as other DC films like “The Dark Knight,” “Watchmen” and various “Superman” attempts.

So despite this massive missed opportunity, abandoning that failure does allow you to find a silver lining in other redeeming qualities. In a film that packs in so many “A”-listers, this time it pays off. Each one brings a uniquely defined and mostly memorable addition to an overall story that’s somewhere in between great and too thin.

HBO Films and the BBC are co-producing a four-hour miniseries that recounts the 24-year reign of Saddam Hussein.

The four-part miniseries, titled "Between Two Rivers", will offer a detailed look at the inner workings of Saddam's family and his relationship with his closest advisers and shed light on his 1979-2003 reign as president of Iraq.

Yigal Naor ("Munich") is set to play Saddam, while Oscar-nominated actress Shohreh Aghdashloo ("House of Sand and Fog") will play his wife, Sajida. Another wife, Samira, will be portrayed by Christine Stephen-Daly ("The Bill").

Saddam's half brother Barzan Ibrahim will be played by Said Taghmaoui (the upcoming films "Vantage Point", "Kite Runner"). His sons Uday and Qusay will be played by Philip Arditti ("Really") and Mounir Margoum ("Rue des figuiers"), respectively.

Uri Gavriel ("The Band's Visit") has been tapped for the role of Ali Hassan al-Majid, Saddam's cousin, who also is known as "Chemical Ali". (He was sentenced to death by an Iraqi high court over the weekend.)

His son-in-law Hussein Kamel will be played by Amr Waked ("Syriana"), while Sasson Gabay ("The Band's Visit") will portray Ahmed al-Bakr, Saddam's predecessor as president of Iraq.
