Who is the father of Dr. Hannah Asher's (Jessy Schram) baby? That's the big mystery going into Chicago Med Season 11. Could it be her on-off boyfriend, Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell), or could it be her coworker and close friend, Dr. Dean Archer (Steven Weber)? Showrunner Allen MacDonald calls it "complicated" in a new interview. When we left the Chicago Med world after the Season 10 finale, Hannah had discovered that she was pregnant but wasn't sure who the father was, and there was no way for the audience to say it was one or the other definitively. Whoever it is, things are bound to get more complicated.

‘Chicago Med’ Boss Teases Asher & Archer’s ‘Complicated’ Journey in Season 11 After Baby Cliffhanger
After that jaw-dropping cliffhanger that revealed that Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) is actually pregnant and it appears Dr. Dean Archer (Steven Weber) could be the father, we had to ask Chicago Med executive producer and showrunner Allen MacDonald to describe in five words these two’s journey this season. His answer: “complicated.” And he repeated it five times. That’s certainly a good way to describe the dynamics at play on the NBC medical drama, returning for its 11th season on Wednesday, October 1. Asher’s relationship with Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) fell apart while he was going through some things, eventually hitting rock bottom, being suspended, and then saving a woman and her child in a well. That woman, Sadie (Holly Curran), came back in the finale, showing up at his door, suggesting that just as Asher may have moved on with Archer — it’s unclear just what...

Of the three shows that make up the One Chicago franchise, Chicago Med arguably had the best ending last season. Season 10 ended on a massive cliffhanger in an unexpected bait-and-switch that left us guessing who Hannah's (Jessy Schram) Baby Daddy is. We're all dying to know the answer, and soon the puzzle pieces will fall into place with Season 11 scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, October 1. Production for the new season is now underway, as confirmed by star Schram in a social media post. The post, which has sent the fandom buzzing, included a behind-the-scenes selfie featuring actors Luke Mitchell andSteven Weber, who play either of Hannah's potential baby daddies, Mitch Ripley and Dean Archer.
"And now, back to work we go," Schram captioned the photo on her story, which was later reposted by the official One Chicago Instagram account with the teasing caption, "Things are happening over at Chicago Med.

Summer has officially arrived, and the 2024-2025 TV season has been consigned to the annals of history. In a few months, networks will be releasing new shows and new seasons for already existing shows. The One Chicago universe will return in the fall, with its long-running medical drama, Chicago Med, also returning for Season 11. The recently concluded season saw a hierarchical structure shakeup at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center's emergency department with the arrival of Dr. Lennox (Sarah Ramos). It was a move that didn't sit well with Steven Weber's Dr. Dean Archer, and the skilled physician opts to resign. However, a disturbing episode would change his decision and his outlook.
In the episode, Dr. Sharon Goodwin's (S. Epatha Merkerson) life is endangered when her captor stabs her. Archer thankfully discovers her in time, helping boost her chances of pulling through, but the series hasn't really delved into how that has affected Archer.

Spoiler alert: The following article contains spoilers from the Chicago Med season 10 finale.Chicago Med's season 10 finale came with an unexpected reveal following the discovery that Hannah was pregnant in the second last episode of the season. In the moments leading up to the credits, Hannah, played by Jessy Schram, knocks on Dean's door (Steven Weber) and tells him they need to talk. The episode ends on a cliffhanger but heavily hints at Dean being the father. While the couple may be a surprising pair, there is more to them than meets the eye throughout Chicago Med season 10.
In an interview with Deadline, Weber revealed that there were breadcrumbs placed throughout season 10 that hinted at Archer being the father of Hannah's baby. The pair had long had a will-they-won't-they pairing that seemed to go nowhere, but Weber has revealed that there is more to their story than what has been shown on-screen,...

The Chicago Med Season 10 finale left viewers in suspense about the identity of the father of Hannah Asher's (Jessy Schram) baby. This puzzle is complicated by the fact that some things in the characters' lives take place offscreen. The strongest candidates are Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) and Dean Archer (Steven Weber). There are objections to both, but they cancel each other out. However, it's not that complicated for Weber. "I think if you follow the breadcrumbs, you’ll see that it’s most likely that Archer is the father," the actor told Deadline at the Atx TV festival when they asked him the question. He explained:
"A few episodes back, I think it was in “The Book of Archer,” he and Hannah have an equally ambiguous encounter. If you relax for a second, it makes sense that they might have hooked up or connected in some way that is interesting and challenging.

Baby news on NBC’s Chicago Med and Chicago Fire has fans in a tizzy since watching the show’s respective season finales.
To ease some tension, Steven Weber, who plays Dr. Dean Archer on Chicago Med, answers many of our burning questions about the finale, plus shares insight into what Season 11 could look like.
In review, the recent Season 10 finale of Chicago Med saw Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) knock on someone’s door, to reveal that she is pregnant. The set-up was a bit of trickery, leading viewers to believe Asher went to see her ex-boyfriend, Dr. Mitchell Ripley (Luke Mitchell); however, the final beats of the episode showed it was Archer on the other side of the door.
The baby wasn’t planned and took Asher by surprise, but perhaps not as shocking as it was for Archer and the viewers, who never knew the colleagues had ever hooked up.

The Chicago MedSeason 10 finale was supposed to answer some questions, but it came and went, leaving fans without answers on one of the latest developments for Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram). Who is the father of the baby she's pregnant with? And no matter how much TV Insider tried, they couldn't get the truth out of showrunner Allen MacDonald. "I’m not going to comment on that," he said when asked if the visit to Archer (Steven Weber) meant he was the father. "I will say that I think Hannah needs to process this in one way or another. Archer is someone who she feels very safe speaking with. I think when Hannah feels destabilized that Archer is a stabilizing force for her and vice versa," he added.

Chicago Med left us with quite the big question between seasons after the Wednesday, May 21, finale: Who is the father of Hannah’s (Jessy Schram) baby? Well, a deleted scene that Wolf Entertainment released right after the episode aired … doesn’t clear things up at all. In the clip, which you can watch below, Lenox (Sarah Ramos) finds Hannah and surprises her by asking how far along she is. After Hannah tells her, Lenox congratulates her, then off her reaction, asks, “Is it not good news?” Hannah clarifies, “It is, it’s just I wasn’t expecting to be… expecting. And I haven’t really told anybody else yet.” (Hannah found out she was pregnant when she was being tested to be a surrogate for her sister.) “Not even Ripley?” Lenox asks, but Hannah shrugs and says, “It’s complicated.” Lenox gets that, having “spent most of my life trying to avoid complicated,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Chicago Med Season 10 finale “…Don’t You Cry.”] Wait, who’s the father of Hannah’s (Jessy Schram) baby?! Sadly, we still don’t know at the end of Chicago Med‘s Season 10 finale, though it’s not as clear as we may have thought. While we thought the father has to be Ripley (Luke Mitchell), despite their breakup, it’s Archer (Steven Weber) that Hannah goes to see at the end of the episode … and tells him they need to talk. Ripley, meanwhile, also has someone at his door: Sadie, whom he’d rescued, along with her daughter, from a well earlier in the season. Elsewhere in the finale, with the hospital having to make some cuts, Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) is forced into a tough conversation with her boyfriend, Washington (John Earl Jelks), which ends with her admitting she’s still hurt he hadn’t told his daughter about them,...

Okay, if you’ve read this far, you want the news spoiled.
Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) has been undergoing tests, hoping that she could serve as her sister Lizzie’s (Erin Anderson) surrogate. Dr. Dean Archer (Steven Weber) reacts less than positively to the news.

As the Chicago Med season 10 finale begins, we get a bit of a blast from the past as Goodwin goes to see the woman who attacked her earlier in the season. While the woman claims to have found God in prison and seeks Goodwin’s forgiveness, Goodwin makes it clear she won’t accept the apology and tells the woman to pray for herself instead.
Goodwin’s day seems to only get worse from there. When she arrives at the hospital, Goodwin is informed by the board that Hayes' exit will be a hit to their budget and she needs to make cuts. This includes making some tough decisions which will result in the firing of several doctors including Dr. Dennis Washington. When the board suggests Goodwin’s relationship could blur the lines, she assures them that she’s got this and can handle things but it’s clear something is up.

In Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 21, "Baby Mine..." Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) discovers she isn't eligible to be a surrogate for her sister because she's already pregnant. While the news would be welcomed with open arms in many instances, the discovery presents numerous problems that the gynecologist must deal with in the season finale. She must inform her sister of the development and figure out who the father is. The obvious answer is Ripley (Luke Mitchell), with whom she was dating, but the show hinted that she might have had a thing with Dean (Steven Webber).

For one, Ripley and Hannah's relationship timeline doesn't match for a pregnancy, and it was never confirmed whether she and Dean hooked up when he showed up at her door. Someone else? “I have very little to say about the father’s identity,” is all showrunner Allen MacDonald will tell TV Insider ahead of the Wednesday, May 21, finale. But he does share more about Hannah’s headspace after that news, and while it may have looked like she was unhappy, that’s not necessarily the case. “I don’t think she’s happy or unhappy. Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 21 ended with a big reveal about a fan-favorite character that sets up her complex arc in the finale and beyond. Jessy Schram's Hannah Asher is an Obstetrician-Gynecologist at Gaffney Medical Center, and she has been part of the main cast of Chicago Med since Season 5 on NBC.
Much of the focal point of Asher's early journey in Chicago Med was her recovery from her addiction, which ultimately led to her being clean midway into Season 7. She has propelled her career since then.
In Season 10, Asher's relationship with Dr. Mitchell Ripley takes center stage, and the pair have since broken up but remained friends amid everything. Asher's strong friendship with Dr. Dean Archer (Steven Weber) also takes a turn after he appears not to be on board with the idea of her being a surrogate mother for her sister.

Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) received shocking news in the Chicago Med episode "Baby Mine..." The doctor awaited tests to determine if she could be a surrogate for her sister, but it turns out that she was already pregnant with her own child. Asher knows who the child belongs to, but this doesn't mean the character will end up settling down with him when all is said and done.
"Baby Mine..." suggests that Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) is the father of Asher's baby. It makes sense, given the timing of their relationship and when they broke up. The characters have had an exceptionally bumpy season 10, thanks in large part to the personal demons Ripley has dealt with both on and off the job.

Chicago Med is closing in on its season 10 finale, but first, we have to get through the fallout of the penultimate season 10 episode, "Baby Mine..." There was plenty going on at Gaffney, but the most pressing storyline revolved around Dr. Caitlin Lenox (Sarah Ramos) and the unsettling allegations made against her coworker and romantic interest, Dr. Hayes (Brendan Hines).
Spoilers ahead!
Before we dug into that drama, we got some lighter fare with Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell). He had been tasked with watching his godson, but the child could not go more than a few seconds without crying if he wasn't being held. Naturally, this proved an issue for Ripley, who was dealing with patients at the same time. This was a charming bit on the surface, but actually proved to be foreshadowing for a truly massive revelation at the end of the episode.
Caitlin Lenox enters the picture in unexpected fashion.

One Chicago is experiencing growing pains. The franchise has been around since 2012, and like most shows that have crossed the decade mark, it's gone up in cost and cast salary. NBC renewed all three of the franchise's shows, but the network also laid down some ground rules regarding the amount of time actors appear in a given season. These rules were on full display Wednesday, May 7.
Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd aired new episodes, and all three of them were missing crucial cast members. Med was down Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) despite the character's brief cameo on Chicago Fire. The firefighting drama had to make due without four of its central characters, including Sam Carver (Jake Lockett), Lizzie Novak (Jocelyn Hudon), Dom Pascal (Dermot Mulroney), and Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith).

Many characters have been cautiously approaching Dr. Lenox (Sarah Ramos) since she arrived at the ER at the beginning of Chicago Med Season 10. She is a tough personality who doesn't care whose feelings are hurt if it means improving service delivery. She's used to people tiptoeing around her, so when Dr. Hayes (Brendan Hines) challenged her during this year's One Chicago crossover, Lennox was pleasantly surprised. One would have figured that either Dr. Hayes was very courageous or there was something odd about him. A sneak peek of Chicago Med Season 10, Episode 21, "Baby Mine..." hints at the latter when an allegation against Hayes is lodged. Meanwhile, Maggie (Marlyne Barret) and Frost (Darren Barnet) fight to get a pair of lungs for a young cystic fibrosis patient, Hannah (Jessy Schram) learns whether she can become a surrogate, and Ripley (Luke Mitchell) and Morris (Lee Jones) treat the daughter of a tech billionaire battling leukemia.

Chicago Fire has not skimped out on the action in season 13. The firefighting drama has been jam packed during the second half of the season, in particular, and the episode "Cut Me Open" kept up this breakneck pace. Spoilers ahead!

Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) is on the short list of most important Chicago Med characters. She is instrumental to the character arcs of several people around her, including family members and the other employees at Gaffney Medical Center. Sadly, she won't be present for the episode "The Invisible Hand."
NBC confirmed that Asher will be missing in action during the episode, which airs Wednesday, May 7. The reasoning is not as dramatic or as concerning as one might initially think, though. Asher is not on call during "The Invisible Hand" because she took a sick day. Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) informs the rest of the Gaffney staff of Asher's decision at the beginning of the episode.

It is an unwritten rule that every network needs to have a medical series in its weekly schedule. For the last decade, Chicago Med has been one of the most popular representatives of this genre, but after NBC granted a Season 2 renewal for St. Denis Medical and said nothing about the One Chicago shows, fans were understandably worried about the future of their favorite shows. But today, the matter has finally been resolved: Chicago Med is returning for Season 11.
The renewal will allow Chicago Med to reach a milestone: the 200-episode mark, which not many shows achieve these days. There's still a lot to happen in the series, though, and showrunner Allen MacDonald (CSI) has already been pretty clear about how Season 10 will end. According to the writer and producer, Chicago Med will send Season 10 off with "big shocks" and "lasting ripple effects." MacDonald had also previously joked that it...

Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) has become one of the most important characters on Chicago Med. She went from recurring presence to anchoring doctor, but we're not here to talk about that. Instead, we're here to discuss the unique yet profound impact that her presence has had on two episodes of Chicago Fire.
The character is set to return to the firefighting drama for the episode "Cut Me Open." She will be on hand to help a woman give birth to a child that will be adopted by Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney). The woman experiences complications, leading to Asher calling for a C-section to be performed, and hand wringing on the parts of Kidd and Severide.

One Chicago Wednesday has been an NBC tradition for a decade. All three shows have held down the fort during the network's primetime schedule. Barring, of course, the Wednesdays where there are no new episodes. April 30 is one such instance. But don't worry, fans won't have to put up with too many more breaks during the 2024-25 season.
Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd are set to return on Wednesday, May 7. The start and stop rollout for the middle episodes of each show's respective season can be frustrating for fans, especially when there's a multi-week wait for an episode followed by yet another break. Thankfully, this won't be the case in May.

The 10th season of Chicago Med is winding down.
We only get three new episodes before the long summer hiatus arrives.
Hopefully, NBC orders Chicago Med Season 11 soon, giving fans something to look forward to next year.
Up first is another short break at NBC. The network offers some repeat episodes of the One Chicago shows before returning to new content.
May is full of new episodes for Med, Fire, and P.D., leading straight to the finales for each show.
Med may have teased what’s coming, as the situation between the nurses and the hospital is about to boil over.
Nurse Maggie Lockwood and boss Sharon Goodwin were at odds during the last Chicago Med episode. Will they find common ground?

One Chicago is no stranger parenthood. We've watched dozens of characters become parents over the course of the franchise's tenure, whether it be on Chicago Pd or Chicago Med. Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) is on the cusp of making a huge life decision on Med, and if she pursue the path that she's currently considering, it would upend a franchise trend that's lasted for years.
Asher approached her sister, Lizzie (Erin Anderson) and offered to serve as the surrogate for her child, since the latter has struggled to conceive. Lizzie was touched by the offer, but voiced concern about Asher putting her own desires to have a child on hold to help. A conclusion was not reached by the end of the episode "The Stories We Tell Ourselves," but the notion of Asher getting pregnant is quietly radical within the One Chicago framework.

One Chicago has always thrived on its interconnectedness. Part of the fun of watching three separate shows set in the Windy City is seeing how each of them interact, and how characters from different walks of life and professions help each other in the name of justice. We saw a prime example of this during the three part One Chicago crossover in January.
Don't worry, though, because One Chicago is not done intermingling characters. Despite there only being three more episodes of Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd, the franchise has made it clear that they plan to execute at least two more crossovers. Both of which will take place between Fire and Med.

A new episode of Chicago Med arrived on Wednesday night.
Negotiations between the hospital and the nurses heavily influenced the new episode.
The nurses wanted more benefits and better working conditions, while the hospital stated that these demands would cost too much.
A midnight strike was hanging over everyone as the Ed bustled with patients.
Dr. John Frost (Darren Barnet) had trouble sleeping because of his run-in with the woman who had played his mom on the TV show.
Frost was late to work on a busy day and struggled with Ainsley Towne (Jessalyn Gilsig) returning to his life. He eventually spoke with Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) about it.
Their conversation led Frost to confront Ainsley about it later. He was finally able to get everything off his chest.

Chicago Fire may have been missing Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo) in its April 23 episode, but rest assured that she and Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) will be back together for the May 7 episode "Cut Me Open." The characters will get one step closer to adopting a child, but as evidenced by the promo, it will not be an easy or stress-free process.
The promo sees both Kidd and Severide going to the hospital when the woman carrying the baby they plan to adopt goes into labor. They are all smiles as they head to Gaffney Medical Center, and like many fans predicted, we get a mini-Chicago Med crossover. Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram), who has become one of Med's most important characters, is on hand to help with the birth.

After missing the last episode of Chicago Med, Maggie returned in an episode that puts Maggie and the nurses at the heart of episode 19’s key storyline, “The Stories We Tell Ourselves.”
As the episode opens, Maggie arrives at Med but not for a shift. It seems Maggie is preparing for the union negotiations between the nurses and the hospital, as the nurses’ contract is ending at midnight and a strike is imminent if a deal cannot be reached. Things start to turn icy with the nurses preparing to walk when Goodwin proposes looking at the new proposal as a new starting place and extending negotiations for a week. She makes it clear she’s invested in making sure they reach a deal that shows the value they see in the nurses.
The nurses walk away from the table, noting that they’ll take some time to consider the extension.

With only five more episodes left in the season, Chicago Med pulls out all the stops with a guest star-filled cast for Season 10, Episode 18.
The NBC medical drama has been no stranger to star-studded ensembles over the years, and Season 10 is no exception.
Season 10, Episode 18 (subtitled "Together One Last Time") centers on another day in the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center Emergency Department, as Jessy Schram's Dr. Hannah Asher makes a tough call to save a life, Ashlei Sharpe Chestnut's Naomi has her last day in the ER, and a young boy comes in with a snake bite.

One Chicago is in a crucial period. The franchise took most of March off, and has been part of NBC's Wednesday night lineup intermittently throughout April. Furthermore, the network has yet to put out renewals for any of the three shows, despite the fact that they are nearing the end of the 2024-2025 season.
Well, we may not have renewals in hand yet, but we do have new episodes. Finally. Chicago Med, Chicago Fire and Chicago Pd return Wednesday, April 16 with some of the most notable and tense episodes of their respective seasons. Med will provide a slate of tense cases for its doctors. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) will be forced to make a decision that could cost her patient their life, while her ex-boyfriend, Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell), returns to Gaffney after a lengthy hiatus.

One Chicago has undergone lots of cast changes over the past two years. All three shows have seen the departure of centerpiece characters, and the arrival of newcomers who have done a spectacular job of keeping the momentum going. Nobody has been a bust, we can confidently say, but even if the fans love a certain character, that does not mean they are safe from getting written out.
We have seen Chicago Fire and Chicago Med characters leave the show in the same season in which they debut. It's always unexpected, given the time and effort put into setting them up, but it's a thing we've grown accustomed to, and should consider moving forward. Hence this article. There are many new characters who have undergone crises in the 2024-25 season, to the point where their future is uncertain. We decided to predict which of them will be shown the door before 2025-26 rolls around.

Chicago Med show runner Allen MacDonald teases at the medical drama's season 10 finale, hinting at some lasting "ripple effects" for the series going forward.
Chicago Med is currently in the middle of its tenth season and has already brought forth its fair share of twists and turns. When a fan asked TVLine if they could tease anything about Chicago Med's season finale, MacDonald shared some information about the upcoming conclusion. Macdonald stated, "Circumstance forces Dr. Charles to face a dark legacy in his family; Goodwin confronts her demons as she makes some deeply difficult decisions, both personal and professional; and there will also be some unexpected faces returning."
He continues, "The final minutes of the hour will have some big shocks with lasting ripple effects." MacDonald concluded his statement with, "It's going to be a very long summer for Chicago Med fans!"

Everyone deserves a second chance, but oftentimes, not many are lucky enough to get one. Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell) of Chicago Med can count himself among the lucky few. After a serious case of gross misconduct led to his suspension from the Emergency Department, with the likelihood of a termination, Ripley's future looked grim. However, fate had other plans when a heroic decision that led to his brush with death reworked his path toward redemption. After serving the suspension for a little while and, literally, coming back from the dead, Ripley was given another chance at Gaffney and will resume his duties in Episode 18, "Together One Last Time." NBC has released new images of the episode, offering a glimpse of his first day back, as well as the next batch of cases that will take center stage.

TV Line caught up with the show's new boss, and when asked what it would entail, he teased: “The final minutes of the hour will have some big shocks with lasting ripple effects,” adding, "It’s going to be a very long summer for Chicago Med fans!“ MacDonald says viewers can expect stories centered on Dr. Charles (Oliver Platt) and Dr. Goodwin (S. Dr. Dean Archer (Steven Weber) was pushed to the absolute brink on the latest episode of Chicago Med. He was tasked with so much that the episode, "The Book of Archer," was even named after him. The character was forced to juggle of increasingly intense emergency room situations with the news that his ex-wife died offscreen.
The former proved taxing from a physical perspective, but the latter devastated Archer so much that he broke down during a rare moment of silence in the Gaffney elevator. We'd consider it a bottoming out moment for the character, because he closed out the episode with a new outlook on life and what he should be prioritizing.

Chicago Med Season 10 has seen the staff at Gaffney Medical Center endure their fair share of trials, but perhaps no one has had it worse than Dr. Mitch Ripley (Luke Mitchell). The aftermath of losing his best friend sent Ripley down a dark path that culminated in his suspension and a painful break-up with his girlfriend, Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram). Subsequent events have now set him on the path of redemption as Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) granted him a second chance at Gaffney. Episode 18, "Together One Last Time," sees Ripley make his triumphant return to the Ed, and a teaser for the episode shows him soliciting with Asher for a do-over.
"Asher makes a tough call to save a life; Frost and Ripley treat a young boy with a snake bite; Archer gives Naomi a patient to handle on her own on her last day in the E.D," reads a synopsis for the episode.

Dean Archer (Steven Weber) used to be somebody Chicago Med fans cheered against. He was on the right side of Gaffney Medical Center's staff, but he was often antagonistic and manipulative of those he worked with. He gave Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) a hard time for years, and he was skeptical of Dr. Hannah Asher (Jessy Schram) and her ability to maintain sobriety.
Now, however, Archer has become one of the most beloved characters on the show. He's softened since his promotion to full time cast member, and allowed himself to be more vulnerable with those around him. Especially Asher. And Chicago Med's upcoming episode, "The Book of Archer," is the culmination of this character arc.

Chicago Med returned from a two-week break on March 26 with the show’s sixteenth episode of season 10, but there was one particular member of the Gaffney Chicago Medical Center team missing in action within the episode: Dr. Hannah Asher.
Jessy Schram does not appear in episode 16, “Poster Boy,” with Asher missing out on the action, and what’s even more frustrating is that the show didn’t really even give us a direct answer as to why Asher wasn’t in the episode. There was no quick throwaway line to explain why she wasn’t in the episode, something that seems like a miss given they could have easily explained that Asher was taking some personal time following Ripley’s near-death ordeal. It would have been more than understandable for Asher to take a bit of time off after the events of episode 15.

There have been tons of breakups among the various employees at Gaffney Medical Center, which can oftentimes ramp up the tension during work situations. Maggie Lockwood (Marlyne Barrett) was the latest character to put the kibosh on her relationship, but she may just be gearing up for another.
Med fans have noticed that there's a pretty strong bond between Lockwood and Dr. John Frost (Darren Barnet). They have camaraderie on the Gaffney floor, even when the going gets tough (as is standard). And since the romance between Lockwood and Loren (Henderson Wade) is kaput, fans suspect that Lockwood and Frost could be a real possibility.
