Robert Wise’s adaptation of The Andromeda Strain retains much of the Michael Crichton novel’s emphasis on the minutiae of efforts to contain a deadly extraterrestrial microorganism while blending in elements of a procedural thriller and a disaster film. As lensed by Richard H. Kline, the Panavision imagery conjures a sense of impending doom, as almost every resident in a small New Mexico town is found dead after a U.S. military satellite crashes nearby, but it’s Boris Leven’s art direction, especially within the laboratory where a group of scientists gather following news of the disaster, that gives the film its distinctively clinical look and feel.
Nelson Gidding’s script methodically moves toward a climax in which the disarming of a bomb inside the lab could prevent humanity’s extinction. Days prior, the U.S. military activates a covert operation involving a team of scientists, foremost among them Dr.

Pachinko is hoping for better luck the second time around at the Emmys.
Based on Min Jin Lee’s best-selling novel, the critically adored epic Apple TV+ series, which follows four generations of a Korean family, is submitting six of its ensemble for acting categories, Gold Derby has learned.
Jin Ha (Solomon Baek) and Lee Min-ho (Koh Hansu) will be entered in for Best Drama Actor; Minha Kim (young Sunja) for Drama Actress; Youn Yuh-jung (elder Sunja) and Anna Sawai (Naomi) for Drama Supporting Actress; and Jimmi Simpson (Tom Andrews) for Drama Supporting Actor.
(As Gold Derby previously reported, Netflix is submitting Simpson for Limited Series/Movie Supporting Actor for the “USS Callister: Into Infinity” installment of Black Mirror. Sawai, meanwhile, won Best Drama Actress last year for her role in Shōgun.)
Based on our latest odds, Pachinko is on the outside looking in regarding the major Emmy races. The...

Fortnite’s latest collaboration with Jujutsu Kaisen has got everyone hyped and for good reasons. If you are a Jjk fan and also play Fortnite then it’s a dream come true for the likes of you. Surely you would then love to run around the battlegrounds, fighting enemies as Sukuna or Mahito yourself!
Also, the new skins are actually pretty good, which would obviously make fans love playing it. But it’s an anime x game collaboration we are talking about, which has a pretty dire track record in the past. Something must go wrong, right?
Fortnite Crossover Jujutsu Kaisen Logos
So, it turns out even Fortnite is pretty biased toward Sukuna, and others but not Toji! There’s nothing wrong with Sukuna being a fan favorite, but what’s up with the apparent shade thrown at Toji Fushiguro? The poor guy can’t even get a break in the Fortnite universe!

The film industry often comes across people who will never be forgotten for centuries to come. With their expert skills and undeniable charm, these people manage to make a mark on the industry that does not dull with time. The Godfather’s John Cazale was one such extraordinary actor who managed to deliver one great performance after the other.
John Cazale in The Godfather (1972)
Unfortunately, his time in Hollywood was limited as the actor passed away in 1978, just after being a part of six total films. Even though John Cazale doesn’t have an extensive filmography to his name, he holds a record that no actor has been or will be able to break. From his feature film debut in 1972 to his last film in 1978, all five of them have been cinematic masterpieces.

“The Strays” is centered around the contrasting lives of Cheryl and Neve.
Cheryl, a Black woman in England, faces discrimination and money troubles. Talking to her sister, her struggles with unfair treatment and financial instability come across strongly. Her decision to ignore calls from her spouse and her consideration of going to a hair salon set the stage for the story.

Years later, we meet Neve—a fair-skinned Black woman living what appears to be a perfect life. She’s married to Ian, a white man, and has two biracial kids, Sebastian and Mary. But beneath the surface, there’s a complex tale of self-deception. Neve’s discomfort with her Black identity is evident as she distances herself from her heritage and avoids anything related.
