While the HBO adaptation of Ray Bradbury's 1953 dystopian novelFahrenheit 451underperformed when it was initially released, the film is now finally seeing some success on streaming.

Per FlixPatrol, Fahrenheit 451 now ranks as the #10 most streamed film on HBO in the United States as of Aug. 1. The film falls just behind A Minecraft Movie at #9 and is also the second Michael B. Jordan film on the chart, with Sinners claiming the #2 spot. The TV movie directed by Ramin Bahrani, best known for 99 Homes, stars Jordan as Guy Montag, a "fireman" whose job is to burn books. The 2018 adaptation came about over fifty years after the 1966 version, directed by François Truffaut and starring Julie Christie, Oskar Werner, and Cyril Cusack.

Fahrenheit 451 (2018) follows Guy Montag, a fireman living in Cleveland working under Captain Beatty (Michael Shannon). As a Fireman, Guy must burn books that have been banned in the United States.

Michael B. Jordan first broke out on television with his role as Wallace in the inaugural season of HBO's highly acclaimed drama, The Wire (2002). He subsequently appeared as a series regular on the ABC soap opera All My Children (2003–2006) and later delivered a standout performance in the NBC sports drama Friday Night Lights (2009–2011).

In the past decade, Jordan has become best known for his collaborations with writer-director Ryan Coogler – including Fruitvale Station (2013), Creed (2015), Black Panther (2018), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022), and Sinners (2025) – all of which earned him critical acclaim. He returned to his titular role in Creed II (2018) and Creed III (2023), the latter marking his directorial debut.

Jordan's broader filmography also includes roles in Chronicle (2012), That Awkward Moment (2014), Fantastic Four (2015), and Just Mercy (2019), in which he played civil rights lawyer Bryan Stevenson. However, it's Jordan's dystopian movie, adapted from an acclaimed book, that is seeing a resurgence on streaming, seven years after its initial release.

Exclusive: SisterS, the dark comedy starring Barry’s Sarah Goldberg and Susan Stanley, will be back for a second season in the States.

The series, which is an international co-production between IFC, Ireland’s RTÉ and Canada’s Crave, launched on the AMC Networks channel in 2023 and will return for its second season in 2026.

It comes after Bell Media, which owns streamer Crave, revealed last year the show was returning in Canada.

SisterS was created and written by real-life best friends Goldberg and Stanley. In the first season, it follows the two women, one from Canada and the other from Ireland, who discover they are half-sisters before embarking on a road trip to find their alcoholic father.

Donal Logue and Sophie Thompson will reprise their roles as Jimmy and Sheryl in the six-part series alongside Sonja Smits, Barbara Brennan, Jim Annan, Dylan Taylor, Vanessa Matsui, Peter Keleghan and Linda Kash.

The sci-fi thriller series Beacon 23 has taken a bumpy road out into the world. The show was first set up at Spectrum, then it moved over to AMC, and it has finally ended up at MGM+, which was formerly known as Epix. But it’s just about ready to have its premiere now. Beacon 23 will begin airing on MGM+ with a two episode premiere on Sunday, November 12th – and with that date just a month away, a trailer has arrived online. Lena Headey‘s sci-fi drama series Beacon 23 is changing coordinates for its inaugural streaming launch. The show, initially set to stream on Spectrum and, later on, AMC, is moving to MGM+, formally known as Epix.

Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan was the latest celebrity figure to be given a ticket to ride on a Blue Origin space mission Saturday, in what is undoubtedly a promotional opportunity for Jeff Bezos’ venture.

ABC News covered the mission live, along with cable news networks, and the network plans a special later on Saturday on its streaming channel ABC News Live.

The six-member crew included Strahan and Laura Shepard Churchley, the oldest daughter of Alan Shepard, who in 1961 was the first American to fly into space. The New Shepard rocket is named after her father.

The coverage captured the moment that Strahan and the rest of the crew exited the capsule, greeted by Bezos.

“It’s unreal,” Strahan could be heard telling Bezos, and the excited crew gave each other hugs.

Jeff Bezos’ next Blue Origin space flight has announced its crew.

Among the six people blasting off into space is “Good Morning America” co-host Michael Strahan, in addition to five other passengers. Strahan made the announcement on Tuesday morning’s “GMA.”

Blue Origin’s next flight is scheduled for December 9. The other space-faring crew members are Laura Shepard Churchley, the eldest daughter of Alan Shepard, who was the first American astronaut to enter space; venture capitalist Lane Bess and his son, Cameron; investor Evan Dick; and Dylan Taylor, CEO of Voyager Space.

The upcoming launch will be the first time a Blue Origin flight has operated at full capacity with six passengers. Bess and his son will also make history as the first parent and child to go into space together.

Station Eleven has added eight performers to its cast. It seems there was a casualty as a result of Orphan Black’s success on BBC America. While Tatiana Maslany was dazzling audiences with her ability to play five different characters at once, another drama was quietly burning out. Copper was the big, bright star on BBC America once upon a time. But everyone seems to have forgotten about it and as a result it has received an almost unjust cancellation. I say almost unjust because, while it sucks that a good series is being taken off the air because of a silly thing as low ratings, it’s important to acknowledge that something about the show pushed viewers away rather than attracting more.

BBC America has renewed Copper, their gritty period drama, for a second season of 13 episodes. There's no word on when they'll air yet but the 10th and final episode of the first season airs this Sunday.

Set in New York City in 1864, Copper follows Kevin Corcoran (Tom Weston-Jones), an Irish-American former boxer. He returns from the Civil War with wealthy Robert Morehouse (Kyle Schmid) and African-American Doctor Matthew Freeman (Ato Essandoh) to find that his wife is missing and his daughter is dead. As a police detective, he devotes himself to seeking justice for the powerless in the Big Apple.

The cast also includes Tessa Thompson, Kevin Ryan, Tanya Fischer, Dylan Taylor, Ron White, David Keeley, Franka Potente, Anastasia Griffith, and Kiara Glasco.

I've been a fan of women in space movies ever since I watched Kate Capshaw and Lea Thompson in Space Camp as a kid.
