Belle (Martha Madison) is Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) aunt. This makes prosecuting him for Ej’s (Dan Feuerriegel) attempted murder difficult.

Ej is Johnny’s father. That’s why he’s defending his son. Belle and Ej are also sleeping together. Which makes all of the above a lot more complicated.

The two can’t quite decide where they stand. One minute, they’re at each other’s throats. The next, they are at… some other parts. One minute they’re kicking and screaming, the next they’re kissing and smooching. Which one will it be this Friday? That would be the angry side of their relationship, as Belle has some fighting words for Ej.

Fans know that Sophia has lied to everyone about the baby’s adoption. The young woman had already been questioned by Sarah Horton Kiriakis (Linsey Godfrey). The explanation wasn’t aired, but it is assumed that Sophia told the doctor the truth about the baby.

So Sarah needs Sophia to set things straight. What’s the real story? Funny enough, Sophia does tell her the story, but we’re not privy to the particulars.

The character was written as a grifter and a “bad boy.” He stole Alice Horton’s (Francis Reid) necklace, a precious family heirloom.

And yet Brady (Eric Martsolf) told her otherwise. Of course, he and Tate never got to see the child (though who can tell with a clothed newborn?). So Sarah decides to question Sophia before she says anything.

Leo (Greg Rikaart) and Gwen (Emily O’Brien) exchanged snark when they ran into each other in the square. Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) found comfort with Xander (Paul Telfer) as she worried about Ari (Marissa Reyes). Tate (Leo Howard) followed clues that led to where the girls could be and ran into Rafe (Galen Gering), also on the search. When Tate heard screaming, he found the door, kicked it in, and rescued Holly (Ashley Puzemis). Ari, after trying to escape through an air vent, was rescued by Javi (Al Calderon) after it collapsed. At the end, Tate received a text from Sophia (Rachel Boyd) telling him she’s in labor.

Here’s What Happens Next On Days of our Lives

It’s time for Johnny’s (Carson Boatman), and all of Salem is rooting for the innocent young man. Everyone knows he didn’t shoot his father, but the evidence is against him, and now, it’s up to the judge and jury, including juror Leo (Greg Rikaart). Look for the trial to begin early in the week and Ej (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle (Martha Madison) to be pitted against each other in court.

In the Friday, July 25 episode of Days of Our Lives, Susan felt strange vibes from Marlena. Gabi and Gwen faced off in Horton Town Square. While several moments turned out to be emotional moments of goodness, one made us unexpectedly emotional.

Emotional Moment #1: Belle Supports Marlena

After passing out in the courtroom, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) checked out Marlena (Deidre Hall) at the hospital, and once again, everything seemed fine, except for an elevated blood pressure. But that could be written off to stress and not eating, and general grief.

At home, their conversation veered into the emotional when they were sitting on the couch. Belle (Martha Madison) wanted to make sure she supported her mom through this devastating moment in her life. She lost the love of her life, and Belle felt they didn’t talk about the loss enough.

Instead, Marlena has remained stoic, and the good doctor...

Johnny’s trial began on the July 24 episode of Days of our Lives. Johnny is nervous, Chanel is supportive, Abe is distracted, Paulina is determined, Rachel is cranky, and Marlena is unwell. But the only thing that matters in the end is Ej and Belle. And we are here for it!

In a Galaxy Far, Far Away

There is no universe where the victim of an attempted murder trial can also be the defense attorney, especially when the defendant is his son, and the prosecutor is the defendant’s aunt. Belle (Martha Madison) did tell Ej (Dan Feuerriegel) that they have to play it cool during the trial, for the sake of not raising any eyebrows.

Ej raised his eyebrow and made a couple of suggestive remarks to Belle, which caused her to smile, but then quickly say, “No, no, we can’t. It would be wrong.” She’s right.

Doug Williams III started out with great promise on Days of our Lives. He arrived in Salem right after his grandfather Doug Williams’ funeral, seemed genuine in his concern for Doug’s widow, Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), and quickly bonded with her. However, the character fell apart in a matter of days when he stole Alice’s necklace, revealing an unappealing, shady side that he was never able to shake, and that’s why he ultimately had to go.

Mistake After Mistake

It was easy to forgive and forget that Doug (Peyton Meyer) spent a night in jail, after getting arrested for a drunken bar brawl his first night in town. His grandpa had a full-fledged prison record when he arrived in Salem. But all his actions that followed were of the seedy variety. “Days of Our Lives” has been renewed for two more seasons at Peacock, bringing the soap opera through its 63rd installment.

The long-running daytime drama, which follows the lives, romances and conflicts between the Horton, Brady, Dimera, Kiriakis and Hernandez families, aired on NBC from its 1965 premiere until 2022, when it shifted to streaming exclusively on Peacock.

“Days of Our Lives” was the longest-running show on NBC. In December, the series aired its 15,000th episode. Things have certainly gotten convoluted for Tate and Sophia on Days of Our Lives. Of course, Sophia is lying about them. They don’t exist. But she’s going to tell Tate that their little girl has already been taken...

Deals were struck, contracts signed, and boys told off in the July 23 episode of Days of Our Lives. Tony summoned Gabi to the Dimera mansion for a tête-à-tête about regaining control of Dimera Enterprises. Xander and Sarah attempted to work out a custody agreement without the conversation going nuclear. Ari and Holly got their chance to confront Doug before he leaves town.
