Being the host of Project Runway is technically a job, but Heidi Klum doesn’t consider it work.

“It’s not even work for me. It’s not, really. It’s a pleasure,” the supermodel and sprawling reality TV host tells The Hollywood Reporter when asked what it’s like to be back on the series alongside some new and old faces. Over twenty years after first launching on Bravo, “Project Runway” is getting a revamp. The beloved fashion competition underwent a complete creative overhaul as it moved from Bravo to Disney and Freeform, bringing back original host Heidi Klum and embracing fresh voices in fashion by welcoming celebrity stylist Law Roach as a judge.

But for executive producer Michael Rucker, who returns to “Project Runway” after serving as an EP for the first five seasons before the show’s Season 6 move to Lifetime, the revamp is more than just a switch-up of the judging panel; it’s a much-needed chance to infuse comedy and spectacle back into the series.

The trailer for Season 21, which landed online July 1, amassed 42.7M views across platforms within nine days of release, making it the highest performing trailer in Freeform history, per Disney.

That’s a pretty monster performance that sets up Project Runway for a promising return to television with this Disney reboot. That’s the case for Heidi Klum, who returns to host “Project Runway” as seen in the Season 21 trailer out Tuesday after exiting the fashion design competition at the end of Season 16 in 2017.

Badu and James will join previously announced host and judge Coco Rocha and fellow judge Jeanne Beker in Bell Media’s Crave reality series competition.

The long-running reality competition series has announced that Season 4 champ and renowned fashion designer Siriano will return to the show as mentor, while Elle editor-in-chief Garcia continues on the judges' panel, where she has served since the very beginning of the series in 2004. In addition, the show is introducing celebrity stylist extraordinaire Roach to the show. He previously appeared as a guest judge in Season 20 and will now be on the panel full-time. The search for the next big fashion designer is back as Project Runway Season 21 begins production.

Heidi Klum is returning to the competition as host and judge and will be joined by Og judge Nina Garcia and Law Roach.

Garcia is the editor-in-chief of the U.S. edition of Elle magazine and has been a judge on the reality series competition since its debut in 2004.

Law Roach joins the judging panel after working as an image architect with celebrities such as Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Celine Dion, and Tom Holland.

Siriano won Project Runway in Season 4 and became a mentor when Bravo rebooted the show in 2019 for Season 17. Project Runway season 21’s Heidi Klum, Christian Siriano, Law Roach, and Nina Garcia

Host Heidi Klum will be joined by Project Runway veterans Christian Siriano and Nina Garcia on the show’s upcoming season 21. The new season, currently in production, also welcomes new judge and image architect Law Roach.

Season 21 is targeting a summer premiere on Freeform, Disney+, and Hulu.

Siriano is on board to serve as a mentor, and Garcia, who has been with the series since 2004, returns as a judge. Disney+, Hulu, and Freeform offered this description of Project Runway newcomer Law Roach: “Image architect Law Roach is known for transforming celebrities into fashion icons. In reality television terms, Project Runway is a true Og it premiered almost 20 years ago, at the dawn of the reality television era, in December 2004.

It debuted with a notable roster of judges, including supermodel Heidi Klum, fashion design legend Tim Gunn, and designer Michael Kors.

Project Runway deviated from many reality shows of its day by focusing on a fascinating niche fashion design.

The premise of Project Runway was not entirely dissimilar to run of the mill competition shows, as each season featured 12 aspiring fashion designers as contestants, slowly whittled down to a small handful for a final competition.

Each week, Project Runway's aspiring designers would participate in challenges and display their pieces on the show's titular runway.

Veteran PR executive Linda Guerrero has formed Cultural Agency, a multicultural agency that connects publicity, awards and marketing campaigns to what’s happening in culture and is specifically focused on Latino, Black, Api, LGBTQ+, faith and accessibility audiences.
