Longthorne In Hospital After Car Crash
British entertainer Joe Longthorne has been admitted to hospital following a horrific car crash.
The 56-year-old star, who has battled leukaemia in the past, was in a car with his manager and nephew, who was behind the wheel, on Saturday when the vehicle hit a traffic island and flipped over.
All three were taken to Leighton Hospital in Crewe, north England and they are all said to be in a stable condition.
An onlooker tells Britain's The People, "The car... clipped a traffic island and flipped, rolling over three times. The driver told police he had been accelerating and braking at the same time. There must have been a fault."
A Cheshire Police spokesman tells the Daily Star, "When we attended there were broken bones and one passenger had serious head injuries".
Longthorne, who had to cancel a gig in Cheshire on Saturday night, reportedly suffered a broken nose and broken ribs and is expected to be released from hospital on Monday.
