Reyn Mercuri is a Southern California native, with a love and passion
for the entertainment industry on all levels. He's known heavily for
his eagerness to go beyond himself, whether he is producing or acting,
he's always willing to give his best performance no matter what the
project is.
Reyn Mercuri is a former Black Knight Armed Forces Service Member who served in the US Navy as a Search and Rescue Swimmer Aircrew Combat Rescue-man. He dedicated his life to serving his country for eight years. After his term of obligation and honorably discharged, he returned to school in early 2003 to obtain his two associate degrees in Film and Television as well as Communication. He continues a higher education on a regular basis as well as trying to excel in the entertainment industry. In early 2003 and 2004, he and his partner, Carolyn Carpenter forged 5 Talent Entertainment. Reyn believes in creating opportunity rather then waiting for it. He does so by educating himself in the world of being an Independent Executive Producer, Production, Cinematography, Editing, Writing and Acting. Reyn is known for coining the term 'Scavanger Independent.' These are projects that have less then a ten thousand dollar budget.
Reyn Mercuri is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt and continued practitioner over the last 13 years. He is a amateur boxing and MMA instructor, a children's book author, who co-created with his wife Melissa, titled REX and the SPACE CADETS. Reyn is now writing his first sci-fi novel.
