Jeopardy! clues can often be tricky, but it doesn’t help matters when the phrasing of a question confuses viewers. On Monday’s (July 7) episode, contestants Ashley Caval Curto, Vince Carter, and reigning champion Scott Riccardi were faced with a Final Jeopardy! clue that had some viewers at home scratching their heads. The clue read: “The last 2 Best Song Oscar winners whose titles were the same name as the movie they were in had this man in the leading role.” Both Riccardi and Carter answered correctly with “Who is Daniel Craig?” while Curto responded with the incorrect, “Who is Timothée Chalamet?” The clue referred to the songs “No Time to Die” and “Skyfall”—both Oscar-winning tracks that share their titles with the James Bond films for which they were written. “No Time to Die” was performed by Billie Eilish, while “Skyfall” was sung by Adele. However, the clue was looking...

King James will be back on the court in the fall.
LeBron James’ agent said Sunday that the NBA legend is exercising his $52.6 million player option to return for a record-setting 23rd NBA season and eighth with the Los Angeles Lakers. “LeBron wants to compete for a championship,” Rich Paul, who is president of UTA-backed Klutch Sports Group, told ESPN.
James, 40, is the NBA’s all-time leader in points scored and next season could pass Robert Parish for most games played, needing just 50 more to break that record. He also has four league Mvp awards and four NBA championships — a total he’s eager to increase.
“He knows the Lakers are building for the future,” Paul told the sports outlet. “He understands that, but he values a realistic chance of winning it all. … “We understand the difficulty in winning now while preparing for the future. We do want to evaluate...

Exclusive: Sean Menard (299 Queen Street West) has been set to direct the docuseries The Sneaker Boom, on basketball shoe marketing of the ’90s, for Rtg Features, the sister studio to basketball-focused media company Slam. Rtg Features CEO Aron Phillips is among the producers of the project, which Sean Menard Productions is co-producing.
Currently in post-production, the series is set amidst the NBA’s rise in global popularity during the early ’90s, watching as a group of marketing mavericks and advertising execs bet millions on unproven rookies as they enlist their talents for wildly creative television commercials. As the players grow into superstars, basketball sneakers go from being a niche sportswear product to everyday fashion, en route to becoming a multi-billion-dollar industry.
