Acclaimed music producer Lionel Hicks started his professional career
as a drummer, playing with prominent bands touring and recording across
the world before moving into music production. In 1993, he enrolled for
a two year college course at SAE London, UK studying audio production
and multi media where he graduated with flying colours.
He then opened POD recording studios in London, UK where he engineered and produced many internationally released albums. Over the years, his production work has taken place in the USA where he eventually teamed up with a fellow music producer and friend Todd Fitzgerald. Together they opened the very successful Winterland Studios, Minneapolis USA, working with such clients as Sting, The Black Eyed Peas, Alanis Morissette and Lenny Kravitz.
He cross migrated into film production in 2004, producing the best selling documentary DVD, Heathenology, and the popular music video Chemical Imbalance. He was also the producer on the Tamrah Aeryn video Sateen In Mind.
In 2005, he produced both the on screen Audio & Music as well as the upcoming soundtrack for the feature motion picture Frank.
Lionel still enjoys drumming and producing for internationally acclaimed rock band, Balance of Power. Over the last ten years he has produced all their albums, the 8th album is in progress and will be released next year.
For the last six months, Lionel has been working as a producer on the pre-production for the feature film, The Scarlet Kiss. His role in the film also includes sound supervision and management.
