It's been a decade and a half since The Walking Dead premiered in 2010, and almost three years since the original show concluded in 2022. However, the universe keeps thriving with several spinoffs.
The AMC hit zombie series has spawned multiple spinoffs, but now only two of them remain: The Walking Dead: Dead City, which follows Maggie and Negan's adventures in New York, and The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon, which continues the fan-favorite character's adventures in Europe. The two series have received mixed reviews, but have continued to be widely popular. Ahead of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 3's premiere on Sept. 7, AMC has just confirmed at San Diego Comic Con at Hall H that Carol and Daryl's adventures will officially continue with the fourth and final season.
The new season will premiere shortly, and the cast and executive producers will do their best not to keep fans waiting.

Is there anywhere that Norman Reedus’ titular motorcycle-riding apocalypse survivor won’t go in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon? According to universe head Scott Gimple, the answer is no. We’ve long known that the third season of the uber-popular spin-off will see Daryl (Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) on their biggest journey yet as they travel to England in hopes of scoring passage back to the United States — or at least what’s left of it. But, their travels won’t be so straightforward, as they’ll embark on a quest that will take them through Spain, where trailers and teasers have foreshadowed most of the action to unfold.
While catching up with TV Insider ahead of the Season 2 finale of The Walking Dead: Dead City, Gimple revealed that there was plenty of uncharted territory and unique personalities set to run into the dynamic duo in the next set of episodes.

Despite ending the main series in 2022, AMC continues to churn out lots of Walking Dead content. And the result has actually been pretty good. Of course, we had The Ones Who Live in 2024, which continued the saga of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira). Just recently, we wrapped up the second season of Dead City, which follows unlikely duo Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) as they explore a zombie-infested Manhattan. Franchise boss Scott M. Gimple has hinted numerous times that the wider universe could continue to expand into the foreseeable future.

When the flagship series The Walking Deadended back in 2022, it had been running for 11 seasons and was on air for 12 years. At the time, we had spin-off shows set in the same universe prior to the show's ending, namely Fear the Walking Dead and The Walking Dead: World Beyond. Now, though, we have multiple spin-offs centered on some of our favorite characters fighting through the zombie apocalypse. One is The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. The show, which was originally conceived as a Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and Carol Peletier (Melissa McBride) spin-off, has taken quite a journey to get these two characters back together. Now, we have a Season 3 release date!

Guy Ritchie's next movie will no longer be hitting theaters in January 2025. Lionsgate has removed In the Grey, which reteams Ritchie with his The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare star Henry Cavill, from its 2025 release schedule.
According to Deadline, the reason Lionsgate has pulled In the Grey from its Jan. 17, 2025 release date is because the movie isn't finished. The action thriller wrapped filming in October 2024, meaning that Ritchie has spent more than a year completing post-production work and is still not finished. A new release date has not yet been announced by Lionsgate. It's a sad update for fans who were looking forward to seeing the filmmaker's third Cavill-led movie. The actor previously starred in 2015's The Man from U.N.C.L.E. and 2024's The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon showrunner David Zabel opened up about the creative teams decision to move the shows location for Season 3. The horror drama has just recently wrapped up its 6-episode second season, which is now currently available for streaming on AMC+.
During a recent interview with THR, Zabel explained that changing Daryl Dixon Season 3s location was necessary in order to give them the opportunity to reinvent The Walking Dead spinoff. He also teased that the shows location will continue to change in future seasons. "The characters should not settle down. It should be a road show. They have to keep moving [to return home]," Zabel said. "At the end of Season 2, theyre going somewhere. We dont know exactly where, and its not a direct line to the next place they go.
