This one is called V/H/S/Halloween, and the line-up of directors includes Bryan M. Ferguson (Pumpkin Guts), Casper Kelly (Too Many Cooks), Micheline Pitt-Norman & R.H. Norman (Cosmetic), Alex Ross Perry (Her Smell), Paco Plaza ([Rec]), and Anna Zlokovic (Appendage).

A new $620 million U.K. studio project backed by Fulwell Entertainment, the company behind “The Late Late Show With James Corden,” has lost a major investor.

According to the BBC, Cain International has pulled out of the Crown Works Studios project in the north of England. The BBC said in its report that the company declined to give a reason.

Announced last year, the studios are set to be built on the banks of Sunderland’s River Wear with the hope it will create thousands of jobs in the region. At the time of announcement, backers said it would bring about 8,000 jobs and cover 1.6 million square feet.

Local reports claim the U.K. government has put forward £25 million ($34 million) towards the project, with the local authority committing £120 million ($164 million). But that still leaves a large gap to fill.

A new drama for USA Network and a new reality show from Kimora Lee Simmons lead the way for the slate, which is the first under President of Entertainment Val Boreland. There will be 16 new series across E!, USA Network, Syfy, and Oxygen True Crime.

Fulwell Entertainment is the name of the overarching banner led by the Fulwell 73 partners – Ben Winston, Leo Pearlman, James Corden, Ben Turner and Gabe Turner — and Springhill’s Maverick Carter and LeBron James. Jesse Collins Entertainment is also under the umbrella; in 2022, Fulwell invested in the company led by the prolific TV event producer, who has juggled Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, BET Awards and a string of Super Bowl Halftime shows, including 2024’s outing with Usher and 2023’s memorable aerial stunt with Rihanna.

Fulwell and SpringHill reached an agreement to join forces in a merger of equals in November. No money changed hands, but both sides brought in investment into to rev up the enlarged firm. A representative for Fulwell declined to comment on the deal closing.

The National Theatre Live’s stage adaptation of Stanley Kubrick’s “Dr. Strangelove” is headed to global cinema screens on March 27, 2025, following its London West End run.

The production features Steve Coogan, a seven-time BAFTA winner, performing multiple roles including Dr. Strangelove, President Merkin Muffley, Group Captain Lionel Mandrake and Major T.J. Kong.

The theatrical version of Kubrick’s 1964 nuclear satire comes from the creative team of Emmy winner Armando Iannucci and Olivier Award recipient Sean Foley. The production marks a significant reimagining of the comedy masterpiece about a rogue U.S. General who triggers a nuclear attack.

Currently playing at London’s Noël Coward Theatre through Jan. 25, 2025, the production will transfer to Dublin’s Bord Gáis Energy Theatre for a limited engagement from Feb. 5-22, 2025. The BBC and Netflix have garnered the most nods at the upcoming Royal Television Society (Rts) Craft & Design Awards with 31 and 16 nominations respectively.

Paramount+ will premiere We Will Dance Again on Sept. 24. The film documents the Hamas’ Oct. 7 terrorist attack at the Nova Music Festival last year.

The premiere date is tied near to the first anniversary of the attack that killed about 1,200 Israelis and took roughly 250 hostages. To retaliate against Hamas after the attacks, Israel launched an offensive military action in Gaza with considerable loss of life in the region.

The project from See It Now Studios features new interviews with more than a dozen survivors who were able to chronicle their harrowing experience to stay alive with exclusive cell phone footage. The doc also includes footage captured by other victims and Hamas ahead of the wider Israel-Gaza conflict.

“The human cost of the Hamas attack in Israel and the war that followed in Gaza has been catastrophic for both Israelis and Palestinians,” Susan Zirinsky, president of See It Now Studios, said in a statement.

Paramount+ will premiere its Oct. 7 documentary “We Will Dance Again” on Sept. 24. The film will feature interviews with survivors of the Hamas attack that took place at the Nova Music Festival.

“This film is a document of history, of one of the attacks that began on October 7th at 6:29 in the morning,” See It Now Studios president Susan Zirinsky said in a Thursday press release. “The human cost of the Hamas attack in Israel and the war that followed in Gaza has been catastrophic for both Israelis and Palestinians … it is a painful story of unfathomable tragedy, but also of bravery, sacrifice and heroism.”

Directed by Yariv Mozer, “We Will Dance Again” will include the experiences and anecdotes of those who attended the Nova Music Festival in 2023, with footage straight from survivors’ cell phones.

The newest installment in the found footage franchise includes “six new bloodcurdling tapes, placing horror at the forefront of a sci-fi-inspired hellscape,” per Shudder. Jordan Downey and Kevin Stewart co-wrote “Stork,” with Downey directing. Christian Long and Justin Long wrote and directed “Fur Babies.” The “Live and Let Dive” segment comes from director Justin Martinez with Ben Turner writing the screenplay.

Virat Pal and Evan Dickson co-wrote “Dream Girl,” with Pal directing. And Mike Flanagan wrote “Stowaway” and Kate Siegel directed. The seven installment also includes a special presentation by Cursed Films‘ Jay Cheel.

The storied V/H/S horror anthology series is going to the great beyond. The Hollywood Reporter has the first trailer for V/H/S/ Beyond, the seventh installment in the franchise, which launched in 2012 as a project featuring multiple found-footage short films.

The latest chapter focuses on sci-fi horror, and bows at the genre-centric Fantastic Fest next month in Austin before hitting the streaming service Shudder on Oct. 4.

V/H/S/ Beyond‘s segments include “Stowaway,” directed by Kate Siegel and written by her partner, The Fall of the House of Usher creator Mike Flanagan.

Justin Long, who starred in horror hit Barbarian, directs and writes “Fur Babies” with brother Christian Long. Meanwhile V/H/S/‘s Justin Martinez returns with “Live and Let Dive,” which has a story by Martinez and Ben Turner.

Virat Pal’s “Dream Girl” is the first Bollywood entry to V/H/S/ and was shot in India. Pal wrote it with Evan Dickson.

Paramount+ announced today that the award-winning film We Will Dance Again, a shocking documentary about the October 7th Hamas terror attack on the international Nova Music Festival, will have a two-day theatrical run nationwide in partnership with Iconic Events Releasing.

Australia’s Nine Network has become the latest buyer of powerful Israeli doc We Will Dance Again about the Nova Music Festival.

The channel has scheduled the award-winning feature documentary to air October 7, marking the one-year anniversary of the tragedy.

Commissioned soon after October 7 by Bad Boys studio Sipur, We Will Dance Again tells the stories of more than a dozen survivors in their own words. The documentary pieces together their exclusive video footage with that of the perpetrators themselves and CCTV cameras, telling the story of innocent young people forced to fight for their survival in the breathtaking intensity of real time.

We Will Dance Again has already sold to Paramount+ in the U.S., co-producers BBC Storyville in the UK, Hot Channel 8 in Israel and Norway’s Vgtv. Fulwell 73 label Bitachon 365 and MGM Television also boarded the doc in March.

Variety exclusively reports that the seventh installment will feature some really exciting collaborations, like the directorial debut of Kate Siegel, best known for starring in projects such as The Fall of the House of Usher, Hush, and The Haunting of Hill House, all of which were created by her husband and frequent collaborator Mike Flanagan.

Siegel's segment in V/H/S/Beyond is titled "Stowaway" and comes from a script she wrote with Flanagan. Barbarian star Justin Long also has a segment in the new film, one he wrote and directed with his brother Christian Long.
