The Pitt Season 2 Release Date Revealed by EP John Wells
Image
The Pitt season 2 date is seemingly revealed by executive producer John Wells. Led by Noah Wyle, with R. Scott Gemmill as creator and Wells also directing, The Pitt debuted on HBO Max in January and marks a return to the medical drama genre for all three, after their work on the iconic 1990s series ER.

Consisting of fifteen episodes, the HBO Max Original's debut outing centered on Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch (Wyle) during a chaotic 15-hour shift at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital. The premise, unfolding one hour at a time, proved to be a hit with critics and audiences. The Pitt season 2 was quickly confirmed.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, timed with the show's 13 nominations a the upcoming Emmys, Wells was asked about the long delays that streaming shows typically experience. The prolific producer shares his thoughts on that tendency, while also seeming to confirm that...

Image
The Pitt is plowing ahead with Season 2 and recently a new actor was added to the cast. According to Deadline, actor Lawrence Robinson, who has shows including Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and Sistas under his belt, has been cast in a recurring role.

The outlet says that Robinson will play Brian Hancock, "a sweet, charming, and kind-hearted patient who turns a soccer injury into a possible meet-cute with one of the doctors." But as for which doctor, that information is being kept strictly under wraps for now. There are certainly a lot of doctors to choose from. Among them are Noah Wyle as Dr. Robby, Taylor Dearden as Dr. Mel King, Supriya Ganesh as Dr. Samira Mohan, Patrick Ball as Dr. Frank Langdon, and Isa Briones as Dr .Trinity Santos.

Robinson is delighted to be appearing on the show. He took to Instagram to make a post about his gratitude.

'The Pitt' Franchise Gets an Unfortunate Diagnosis from HBO Max CEO
Image
In the weeks following the debut season of The Pitt, fans only wanted one thing from HBO Max: more. The good news is that the streamer was paying close attention to the medical series' popularity and ordered a second season weeks before Season 1 ended its run. The bad news is, for now, this will be pretty much it. During a new interview with Variety, HBO Max's CEO and content chairman Casey Bloys talked about the series and addressed the rumors of possible spin-offs.

During the interview with Variety, Bloys celebrated the success of The Pitt and underscored that Season 2 is already in production. After calling the series' production team "the best in the business," the executive stated that it's "impressive that the show broke through" at the Emmys and scored 13 nominations for its debut season. About the spin-offs, however, Bloys didn't have the best diagnosis to give. He stated:

"Have not gotten there yet.

HBO's ER Replacement Show Gets a Major Streaming Spike Following Disappointing Season 2 Update
Image
After a disappointing update about Season 2, The Pittmakes a major leap on the streaming charts.

Per Flix Patrol, HBO's The Pitt has officially broken through to the top ten overall streaming chart. Although The Pitt currently sits in the number ten spot, it may not be long before it starts overtaking less explosive competition like My Mom Jayne and Snatched, which currently sit in the number seven and nine spots on the list, respectively. The series has a long way to go before it approaches the top of the list, however, as Ryan Coogler's Sinners has maintained the number one spot for more than a week straight.

Created by showrunner R. Scott Gemmill, The Pitt premiered on HBO Max this past January and quickly established itself as the latest hit medical drama. The series, set within the emergency room of the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital, referred to as "the pitt" by staff,...

The Pitt season 2 receives disappointing update (and we're so angry)
Image
If you haven't seen HBO Max's The Pitt, we might ask, "Why not?" Perhaps you don't like medical dramas, and maybe you don't know much of the cast. Those a decent reasons for not tuning in, but you should. The Pitt is creative and consistently interesting.

For those lucky ones who have watched the first season, you know that part of the reward wasn't just the excellence of the writing, but how well we got to know the characters, and the actors who played them. Who cared, for instance, after watching all 15 episodes, if you didn't know the actors prior to starting the series? You knew you wanted to see more of them.

Unfortunately, one of the best characters is not going to return. Tracy Ifeachor, who played Dr. Heather Collins, will not be back for the second season, and, according to TVLine, the decision was not Ifeachor's but the creative team behind the series.

'The Pitt' Star Tracy Ifeachor Not Returning for Season 2
Image
The Pitt is set to return early next year, but fans of HBO Max's hit medical drama will be devastated to learn that a key cast member will not return. As filming for the upcoming second season is officially underway, it seems a fan-favorite character has been written out of the series. The short turnaround for The Pitt Season 2 will still see most of the cast return, alongside some key new additions.

Per Variety, The Pitt star Tracy Ifeachor will not be returning as Dr. Heather Collins in Season 2. The report claims that the decision came from the creative team to remove the character moving forward. Ifeachor did not leave the series on her own accord, Variety confirmed. It's an unfortunate update for fans of the series, especially those who consider her to be a key element in the main storyline alongside Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch (Noah Wyle). Collins' personal history with Robby,...

The Pitt clocked out of its first shift season on Thursday, April 10 after one of the most punishing days ever at the Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center. The Pitt Casts Another Series Regular as New Physician in Season 2
Image
The Pitt is gearing up for a second season - and now a new doctor has joined the cast.

Sepideh Moafi, who has appeared in Black Bird and Class of '09, has been cast as a so far unnamed attending physician in Season 2 of the highly acclaimed medical drama. In season one, the hospital received victims of a mass shooting, which proved immensely traumatic for lead character Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle). And that was in addition to the drug overdoses, childbirths, and agonies which the staff dealt with.

Maofi is the fifth person to join the cast of the show recently. Also in the new cast is Charles Baker of Breaking Bad, who will play an unhoused man called Troy. His presence makes Season 2 of the show a Breaking Bad mini-reunion,...

‘The Pitt’ Adds Sepideh Moafi as Series Regular for Season 2
Image
Attention, “The Pitt” fans: A new attending physician is coming to the ER.

Sepideh Moafi will portray an attending physician in emergency medicine in Season 2 of “The Pitt.” Moafi marks the first series regular added to the new season of the acclaimed Max medical drama.

“The Pitt” follows the goings-on of an emergency room at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Hospital, nicknamed “The Pitt” by its staff. The first season of the show follows a real-time structure, with each of its 15 episodes showing a single hour in an extended shift. Scarcely does the camera leave the walls of the ER, which functions as a “teaching hospital” showing medical students the ropes. For many of the show’s characters, the hectic, tragic events of season one occurred on their first day at The Pitt.

The series was created by showrunner R. Scott Gemmill alongside fellow “ER” alumni Noah Wyle and John Wells as executive producers.

The Pitt Season 2 Gets a Major Filming Update Revealed
Image
After an acclaimed first season, new episodes of The Pitt are on the way to Max. Though there will be a bit of a wait for Season 2 to arrive, the latest update is encouraging.

Per Variety, Season 2 of The Pitt has officially started production. Filming on the series takes place primarily on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, California, with exteriors shot in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Season 2's filming begins about four months after The Pitt was officially renewed, following very high acclaim and streaming viewership for the show after its launch in January.

One reason why The Pitt found so much success was the unique format it brought to the world of modern medical dramas. Season 1 consisted of 15 episodes, and the story was told in real time, with each episode taking place over the course of one hour. 'How Can She Go Back?': The Pitt Star Addresses if Dana Will Return in Season 2
Image
Katherine Lanasa's career went to new heights thanks to The Pitt, where she plays charge nurse Dana Evans. But is she returning for Season 2 of the show? She's coy about it.

The Pitt season 1 certainly set up Dana leaving the show. During the course of one tremendously difficult shift, which took in multiple deaths, Dana is punched in the face by an angry patient - an echo of the violence real-life nurses face. She's injured, and she's also sad. She indicates she's done with the job, but is she? Lanasa spilled all to Variety.

“I don’t think Dana really wants to leave,” she said. “The guy hitting her out of anger really put her between a rock and a hard place… It created this moral dilemma inside the character. How do you tell your daughters and your granddaughters, ‘I’m going back to a place where I get hit?...

Iconic Breaking Bad House Goes Up for Sale (But You'll Need Heisenberg Money to Afford It)
Image
The famous Albuquerque home that was used to represent Walter White's house in Breaking Bad is now up for sale. Potential buyers should be forewarned, however, that owning the home will come with a risk of getting pizzas thrown onto the roof.

Per Kob 4 in New Mexico, the Breaking Bad house has hit the market more than a decade after the original series ended its run. The house was made famous when it was used as the home for the White family in the show, but the owners hadn't foreseen just how iconic it would become when they first agreed to let the TV film there. At first, the family members living there welcomed fans who stopped by to take pictures at the house, but as the popularity of Breaking Bad grew, it became excessive.

Your browser does not support the video tag.

Cinema has long been one of the best mediums for storytelling, with a range of dynamic and talented actors helping bring to life these stories. While all major actors turn in memorable careers that span numerous roles, some actors leave an indelible mark on a particular character. Although these actors can have other iconic characters under their belt, there's no denying that a role becomes almost synonymous with their performer.

Although Hollywood doesn't always stick the landing with some castings, others are so strong that it can be difficult to imagine anyone else in the role. This similarly applies to TV, where actors will spend years playing the same character as the two progressively blend into one person. Indeed, some characters are so inseparable from their actors that it's almost impossible to recast without angering fans or failing to live up to expectations.

Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston Makes Surprise Return as Walter White in Anti-Littering PSA
Image
Heisenberg has returned with a special message for anyone thinking about littering. Bryan Cranston has appeared in a public service ad campaign as his Breaking Bad character to discourage people from littering in the state of New Mexico.

Per the NY Post, the new ads featuring Cranston were first unveiled in an arthouse movie theater in Santa Fe. The PSA is called "Breaking Bad Habits," and it features Cranston's Walter White rolling a barrel through the New Mexico desert, similar to how he'd done so in a memorable Breaking Bad scene. In the PSA, however, Walter is revealed to be collecting trash from the ground left behind by careless litterbugs. Squashing a paper cup from Los Polos Hermanos, the drug kingpin warns, "Keep litter out of my territory." The ad spot, shared online by New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, can be watched below.

10 TV Characters The Shows Didnt Know What To Do With
Image
Sometimes, TV shows introduce characters who seem fundamental to the story, but it becomes clear that the writers aren't sure what to do with them after their initial storyline. The result is often that the TV show will repeat the same story many times, focusing on one character. Maybe said character will eventually be written out of the show when the actor or writers have had enough, but they may be needed for one particular future storyline.

Some TV show love interests that were suddenly dropped and great female TV characters that deserved better ended up in these circumstances because creativity had run out concerning their arcs. Great TV shows should effectively use all their characters, at least providing a reason for them to be shelved for a while if screen time is limited. However, it is hard to feel like some shows did not waste characters when they are...

Is 'Breaking Bad' Based on a True Story?
Image
We've all got our favorite moments from the game-changing AMC series Breaking Bad, don't we? Whether it's chemistry teacher turned crystal meth kingpin Walter White (Bryan Cranston) telling his wife Skyler (Anna Gunn), "I am the one who knocks!", or White's underachieving misfit of a student turned sidekick meth chef Jesse Pinkston (Aaron Paul) with his "Yeah! Science, B****!" We've also got our favorite supporting character from the show maybe bigger parts, like DEA Agent and White's brother-in-law neighbor Hank (Dean Norris), or the squirrelly low-level street dealers and tweakers Skinny Pete (Charles Baker) and Badger (Matt Jones).

Seven Managers Exit Agency The Green Room To Launch Untamed Artists LA, Group Cites “Irreconcilable Differences” As Reason For Split
Image
Exclusive: The majority of the managers working at LA rep firm The Green Room have abruptly exited to launch management and production outfit Untamed Artists LA.

The move was made in the last few weeks and follows what the group described to us as “irreconcilable differences” with Green Room founder Alex Czuleger, who as of last week was understood to be the only manager left at the firm.

Czuleger, who set up The Green Room in 2014, declined to comment on the reason for the departures but noted that the Green Room would continue to operate as a management company and that replacements for the departing staff would be joining shortly. There is discrepancy between the two parties as to whether all agents left of their own accord.

The departing reps comprise Jemme Harper, Brenda Fisher, Chris Cope, Sasha Vassell, Nicole MacNaughton, Andrew Leon, and Eric Ziech. At least three are...

The Mandalorian Season 3 Had An Unexpected Breaking Bad Reunion
Image
The very nature of being a working actor in the film and television industry means that you're bound to work with some of the same folks more often than not. As a result, reunions both expected and unexpected tend to occur. For an example of the former, check out the episode of "Psych" entitled "Dual Spires," which reunited several cast members from "Twin Peaks" long before "The Return" happened. For an example of the latter, take Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, who appeared in 2014's "Godzilla" as husband and wife and then followed that up by appearing in 2015's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" as brother and sister.

In the latest season of the Star Wars series "The Mandalorian," which just wrapped up recently on Disney+, a reunion of former co-stars occurred that was wholly unplanned: Giancarlo Esposito and Charles Baker, both veterans of the groundbreaking AMC crime saga "Breaking Bad.

That’s More Like It: The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 7 Fixes 5 Big Problems
Image
Warning! This article contains Spoilers for The Mandalorian, season 3, episode 7.

The Mandalorian season 3, episode 7 just fixed almost all the problems that previous episodes in the season struggled with. From a storytelling perspective, many are thrilled that episode 7 finally focuses solely on the main goal of this season: retaking Mandalore. Of course, this task comes with its own challenges, as both Din Djarin’s covert and Axe Woves’ army need to learn to get along before they can function as a unit. Thankfully, Bo-Katan Kryze’s relationship with both groups—her ownership of the Darksaber—allows her to bridge the gap, although she is still not confident her abilities will be enough to keep the peace.

Bo-Katan’s struggle to unite the different Mandalorian factions isn’t the only problem hindering them from retaking Mandalore. With the introduction of the Imperial Shadow Council and the return of Moff Gideon, the odds...
