Married couple David Foster and Katharine McPhee performed “Can’t Help Falling in Love” as she walked the aisle. David actually introduced Pia to Carmen, who is EVP of On Stage Audio International.

Pia has regularly been performing on tour with David and Katharine, most recently hitting the stage with them at the Hollywood Bowl for David‘s 75th birthday concert.

“They are so dear to us, and had it not been for David, I would’ve never met Carmen,” Pia told Brides. “Both he and Katharine are a big part of our story.”

It’s time for the biggest night in Country. The 58th Annual CMA Awards will air tonight, Wednesday, Nov. 20, and you will not want to miss a beat.

The good news is that it’s easy to watch the awards live. You can tune into ABC from 8/7c tonight, catching all the performances, wins, and more from the comfort of your home. It’s only airing live on ABC.

The musical, which is an adaptation of the NBC television series, will open at Broadway’s Imperial Theatre on April 10, 2025, with previews starting March 11. Robert Greenblatt, Neil Meron and Steven Spielberg are lead producing, with Susan Stroman, a Tony Award winner for The Producers, as the director.

Steve Harvey is clearly not a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as he had trouble recognizing two of the franchise’s biggest stars on the August 6 edition of Celebrity Family Feud. The episode saw a battle of the American Idol runner-ups as Clay Aiken‘s family took on Katharine McPhee‘s family. One of the most memorable categories of the evening was “Name a famous ‘Tom’ that a girl would love to go to the prom with.” Clay’s 16-year-old son Parker (who was 15 at the time of taping) kicked things off, answering “Tom Hanks,” who happened to be on the board. However, Amy Foster, the daughter of McPhee’s husband David Foster, one-upped him by answering “Tom Brady,” who scored higher than Hanks. This gave McPhee’s team control of the board, but they could only come up with one correct answer, “Tom Cruise,” which was the top answer.

Katharine McPhee is back in the music game!

The American Idol alum has signed an exclusive record deal with Nashville-based label Melody Place, according to Music Row.

Katharine will be making her Grand Ole Opry debut on October 12 and she’ll record her upcoming album in Nashville. New music is set to be released in early 2025!

“I’m excited and happy to get back into the studio and record some new music, especially in Nashville, where I had such a great experience,” Katharine said in a statement. “I’m a little overwhelmed making my Opry debut during their 99-year celebration, but it’s going to be fun!”

Katharine‘s most recent solo album, I Fall in Love Too Easily, was released back in November 2017. She teamed up with husband David Foster for the holiday album Christmas Songs, which was released in two parts across 2022 and 2023.

“My contractor knew this couple who were selling a condo and needed help zhuzhing it up,” recalls interior designer Tobe Morrow of Morrow & Co. “I agreed to the job, sight unseen, without asking who they were.” Those new clients turned out to be singer-actress Katharine McPhee (Smash, Scorpion, Broadway’s Waitress) and 16-time Grammy Award-winning music producer David Foster.

“She was just this fresh ray of sunshine,” McPhee says of meeting the designer. That condo project went so well that Morrow has now completed five homes for the pair. The trio’s latest collaboration is a one-story Spanish-style house in Carpinteria, California, located between the mountains and the beach just south of Santa Barbara.

The couple gave Morrow carte blanche on the decor. “Usually when she’s working with us, she’s presenting options, she’s sharing fabrics, there’s a lot of custom,” McPhee explains. That wasn’t the case for this project.

“Smash,” NBC’s Emmy-winning musical drama series starring Katharine McPhee and Megan Hilty, is now available to stream on Peacock.

It’s been much longer than a thousand and one nights, but “Smash,” the cult classic NBC musical drama executive produced by Steven Spielberg that aired for two seasons back in 2012, is finally on Peacock.

If you didn’t have on DVD (!), it has been a minute since the show — which starred Megan Hilty and Katharine McPhee as competing actresses for the role of Marilyn Monroe on Broadway and also featured Anjelica Huston, Debra Messing, Christian Boyle, Uma Thurman, and many others — was available anywhere to stream.

That changes July 15, when all 32 episodes will finally be streamable on Peacock. Presumably, the network is making the critically maligned show available now because there is going to be a “Smash” musical debuting on Broadway in Spring 2025.

Per a press note, “Smash” won “a Critics Choice Television Award, a GLAAD Media Award, and received five Primetime Emmy Awards nominations, winning for Outstanding Choreography.

Smash has officially made its way to Peacock.

Legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will sing with Shania Twain, Karol G, Chris Stapleton, and more on his new Duets album, arriving Oct. 25 via Decca Records/Sugar Music.

As a child of the 1970s, Myeshia Mizuno still remembers watching the Richard Dawson incarnation of “Family Feud” at home. Now, she’s the new showrunner on the Steve Harvey-hosted daytime version in syndication and the primetime “Celebrity Family Feud” on ABC — which returns July 9 for its 10th anniversary and landmark 100th episode.

Members of the American Idol family are speaking out to share tributes for Mandisa, who tragically passed away this week at the age of 47.

Mandisa got her big break on season five of Idol and she went on to become a Grammy-winning Christian Gospel singer.

A rep for the singer confirmed that Mandisa was found deceased in her home on Thursday (April 18) and an investigation into her death has been launched.

Mandisa was born in Citrus Heights, California. After high school, she studied music before eventually auditioning for American Idol in 2005.

Katharine and David took a break from their concert tour to travel to Orlando for the special day with Rennie. They got to meet Mickey Mouse, go on a bunch of rides, and eat treats like churros during the park outing.
