America Really Loved Streaming Morgan Wallen in 2023
Image
America really likes its Morgan Wallen. The country star dominated streaming on both Apple Music and Spotify this year, earning the Number One streamed song in the country on both platforms with “Last Night.” His One Thing at a Time album was the most streamed album on Spotify.

On Apple Music, Wallen’s “Last Night” was the top streamed song globally, beating out Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers,” which came in second, “Kill Bill” by Sza in third, “Rich Flex” by Drake and 21 Savage in fourth, followed by Sza’s “Snooze” in fifth.

Bad Bunny’s ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ Was the Top Album of the Year on Spotify. Again
Image
Spotify Wrapped is here — and with the platform’s analysis of users’ personal listening habits also comes a breakdown of the top-played music of the year globally.

Taylor Swift earned the crown of the most-streamed artist this year, dethroning Bad Bunny, who had the most streams for three consecutive years. Benito’s success, however, continued on the albums chart, where his LP Un Verano Sin Ti earned the No. 1 slot for top albums globally for the second year in a row.

On the list of most-streamed artists, Swift, Bad Bunny,...

Taylor Swift Surprise-Releases “You’re Losing Me” As Thank You For Being Spotify’s Top 2023 Global Artist; Joe Rogan Tops Podcast Lists
Image
Taylor Swift is celebrating her newfound status as Spotify’s Global Top Artist with a surprise of her own: The massively popular singer-songwriter has just officially released the previously hard-to-find fan favorite song “You’re Losing Me.”

The song, now widely available on streaming services, is the latest of Swift’s “from the vault” releases – tracks that didn’t make her official studio albums. “You’re Losing Me,” which Swift co-wrote with producer Jack Antonoff, was initially released last May only on the “Late Night Edition” CD of Swift’s 2022 album Midnights and in a digital version exclusively at her web store.

This morning, Swift posted on X/Twitter, “Um ok this is unreal?? I just wanted to say to anyone who listened to my music this year, anywhere in the world, thank you. Getting named Spotify’s Global Top Artist in 2023 is truly the best birthday/holiday gift you could’ve given me.

Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Miley Cyrus Top Spotify’s Most-Streamed Lists
Image
Spotify has announced its most-streamed artist, song and album of the year, and Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Bad Bunny have reason to celebrate.

Top Artist

Thanks to Midnights and Taylor’s Version re-records of Speak Now and 1989, Swift is Spotify’s most-streamed artist of the year with 26.1 billion global streams. As an expression of her gratitude, Swift took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the anticipated release of “You’re Losing Me (From The Vault)” — which is now available to stream.

Swift is followed by Bad Bunny, The Weeknd — who didn’t release a new album this year — Drake, Peso Pluma, Feid, Travis Scott, Sza, Karol G and Lana Del Rey.

While Morgan Wallen didn’t make the top global artists list, he came in third for most-streamed acts in the U.S. 21 Savage, Zach Bryan and Kanye West also made the Top 10.
