Reality programs and competition shows are common during the summer months of network television. So naturally no one thought twice when Siberia began airing on NBC back in 2013. For most of its first episode, this reality series checked off all the necessary boxes: alliances, enemies, and obstacles. Toward the end of the episode, though, something unexpected happened. The once amiable host, now with a grave look on his face, announced that one of the contestants was dead.

While its artifice was made apparent in NBC’s advance trailer, Siberia still may have come across as genuine to unsuspecting viewers who had been channel surfing. At least in the very beginning. The producers captured all the fine details of actual unscripted television, which include the deliberate pacing and characterizing first-person interviews. Screen Rant is thrilled to present a new clip from the upcoming film Andy Somebody, which will release on VOD later this month. The action comedy movie centers around the titular Andy, an accountant who flees across the country after stealing from his corrupt boss. The movie is one of the first projects for Jeremy M. Evans and Leslie Wong, starring alongside Jonathon Buckley and Jacob Bruce, who have played guest roles in shows like Mr. Mayor and Key and Peele respectively.

Although Andy begins the film as a depressed accountant living in Chicago, things quickly heat up for the protagonist after he decided to steal three million dollars from his boss, a plastic surgeon whom he suspects is tied to some shady pharmaceutical dealings. After the heist, Andy flees to Los Angeles to begin a new life, but finds that his boss has sent people after him to recover...

Launch Releasing, the independent film distribution and production company, has announced its 2023 development slate following last year’s releases, Lionsgate’s “The Black String,” starring Frankie Muniz, and “The Translator,” which world premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival.

Highlights include the action-comedy “Andy Somebody” and two sequels to the animated franchise “Riki Rhino,” which the company will executive produce.

"Siberia" ended its Season 1 tonight. I do not, however, have much in the way of answers or explanations for any of that faux-reality craziness.

As Irene put it so succinctly, "It's like nothing's real."

Still, it might still be worth it to try to make sense of the death, twists and surreality of the end of "Siberia." We may never get another season to explain it any other way.

Annie dies

Despite Victoria's early-season prediction that everyone else was going to die, most of the "Siberia" cast have remained stubbornly alive. The only actual death we've seen since then was Natalie's -- and that occurred off-screen.

Thus we were due for some death. After the group reunites at the science station, death obligingly arrives to take out Annie. The heartbroken young woman is in the bathroom or something when the others make a truck escape. As a result, the evil...
