Despite Dragami Games president Yoshimi Yasuda announcing last month that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP would be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners this month, that’s unfortunately no longer the case. However, the shifted release date now makes it an excuse to add it to your Christmas wishlist.
Dragami Games has now announced that Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP will instead be releasing on the PS4 and Xbox One on December 2. In addition, the developer has announced that the popular “Pin-up Girl Outfit” from the original version of the game will be making a comeback and be added to the lineup as a new outfit for both current and last-gen versions of the game.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP was released for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, the Nintendo Switch and the Xbox Series on September 12, and includes new quality-of-life improvements and additional gameplay content in addition to maintaining the story of the original game.

While the current generation of consoles will be getting Dragami Games’ Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP next month, last-gen PlayStation and Xbox owners aren’t being left out. Dragami Games president Yoshimi Yasuda took to X to announce that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will get a digital version of the upcoming remaster this November.
Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP is a remake of the 2012’s Lollipop Chainsaw, which launched for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360. Advertised as the definitive version of the original game, RePOP will have quality-of-life improvements and additional gameplay content in addition to the original story.
That additional content includes the new RePOP mode that uses “a unique and colorful pop art-inspired art style for damage effects,” new chainsaws with “distinctly different features” in the game, 30 costumes with 4 new hair colors and 4 new chainsaws, a new Time Attack mode, and Juliet’s Room has been expanded with more features.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP finally has a release date - and it's coming soon, on September 25, 2024! The remake will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam with a wider platform reach than the original. Fans can expect the same brutal hack-and-slash gameplay, costumes, and upgrades, with over 30 unlockable outfits for Juliet in RePOP.
Years after its initial announcement, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP finally has a release date, and it's extremely soon! RePOP is a remake of the cult classic 2012 zombie title, helmed by Yoshimi Yasuda, the original game's executive producer and former CEO of its publisher, Kadokawa Games. Lollipop Chainsaw served as a throwback to pulpy horror classics such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer, seeing cheerleader Juliet Starling fighting hordes of the undead.
DC Studios CEO James Gunn co-wrote the original game with Masahiro Yuki, with No More Heroes' Goichi Suda (aka Suda51) directing, and...

We’ve had the reveal, the behind the scenes footage, and even had a bit of a swerve. Still, the question remains: When are we going to see Slitterhead? Thankfully, 2024 appears to be the year, according to developer Bokeh Game Studio.
Per 4Gamer.net (and translated by Gematsu), the Japanese website did their annual roundup of end-of-year creator interviews, interviewing 176 developers, with many of them teasing new titles and announcements in their statements for their 2024 ambitions. Among them were Bokeh Game Studio co-founders Kazunobu Sato and Keiichiro Toyama, who both stated that 2024 would be an important one for Slitterhead.
“Bokeh Game Studio continues its hard work on the development of Slitterhead. I think next year will be a special year for the project,” said Sato. While Toyama calls 2024 “a decisive year” for the upcoming Survival Horror game. “2024 will be a decisive year in which our studio’s first title Slitterhead will really begin being shown.

Remake or remaster? A lot of people get that terminology confused when it comes to developers revisiting games from years ago to bring them to modern audiences. It’s even more puzzling that Dragami Games president Yoshimi Yasuda took to X last night to state that their upcoming Lollipop Chainsaw revisit, titled Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, is now being pushed as a remaster instead of a remake.
Yasuda stated that based on “your” requests, Dragami Games has “changed the game design” of the 2012 Grasshopper Manufacture-developed game to be a remaster. What exactly this means is unclear, seeing as we have yet to see any screenshots or receive any further information about RePOP since it was announced last year.
This does fall in line with the initial confusion that happened back in July of last year with regards to what Yasuda had said about RePOP having “a more realistic look”. Dragami issued a statement soon after,...

Wondering just what’s going on with that Lollipop Chainsaw remake by Dragami Games? The developer has dropped an update on the project, not only giving it an official title of Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, but also pushing its release date to Summer 2024. No information on platforms was announced.
In a press release, Dragami Games stated that while the team’s intention was to aim for a 2023 release for RePOP, “our commitment to providing the best possible quality experience to our players led us to making the hard decision to extend the development period in order to ensure this. We sincerely apologize to all who had been waiting for the latest installment in the Lollipop Chainsaw series, and kindly ask for your understanding in this matter.”
Dragami Games’ president Yoshimi Yasuda echoed similar thoughts on the delay in a post to Twitter. “We will do our best to create the game that you will love,...
