A February poll revealed Musk was initially viewed somewhat “more negatively than positively.” It showed that 43% of Americans viewed him favorably while 47% did not, and 10% had no opinion.

However, the poll conducted in July showed that he had “a nearly 2-to-1 negative image.” The number of Americans who viewed him as favorable was 33%, but those who saw him as unfavorable were 61%, and 6% did not have an opinion – a change from -4 to -28 net favorability is a 24-point change.

Musk ended up having the lowest net favorability of any member of President Donald Trump‘s second administration, which the Tesla CEO exited on May 31, included in the poll.

Former X CEO Linda Yaccarino has found a new job.

Yaccarino has been named the CEO of eMed Population Health, a digital health platform that partners with companies and government agencies to manage programs for Glp-1 weightloss drugs. She comes to the role after leaving the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) in July, after two years in the role.

Yaccarino did not say why she was departing X, but the move came after a bumpy ride at the company, including Elon Musk loosening X’s content moderation policies, which led to hate speech and inappropriate content on the platform and spooked some advertisers.

Before X, Yaccarino was the head of ad sales for NBCUniversal. In the new role, she will work with the company to form partnerships with additional national and global employers, as well as the government.

The former NBCUniversal and Turner Broadcasting sales exec has been named CEO of eMed Population Health, a division of the telehealth startup focused on weight-loss drugs.

The company says its strategic focus is “Glp-1/Gip population health management,” a reference to hormones generated by new medications like Wegovy, Ozempic and others.

In a press release, eMed said its board of directors “views Linda’s arrival as a rare opportunity to bring on a dynamic CEO who turned around one of the most complex digital platforms in the world, and add a hands-on visionary who will accelerate the company’s mission to revolutionize chronic care delivery.” It added that Yaccarino is a “highly sought-after leader who has a powerful presence and the undeniable ability to negotiate new partnerships.

Tesla’s board has vested Elon Musk shares worth approximately $29 billion in a deal to ensure the richest person in the world remains in a top position at the corporation.

Musk has publicly explored many other business ventures, including AI and robots, and he previously threatened to leave Tesla – the main source of his wealth – if he was not given more shares. The Bad Guys 2 director addresses one key spoof in the film. The animated animal adventure action movie is a sequel to the 2022 film The Bad Guys. The sequel sees the return of director Pierre Perifel, this time working with co-director Jp Sans. The leading voice cast includes Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Anthony Ramos, Natasha Lyonne, and Danielle Brooks.

Review: I did something I hadn’t done in a long time at the early screening of The Naked Gun I attended earlier this week — I laughed myself silly in a movie theatre. It’s been years since I’ve seen a movie this funny theatrically, and boy did I miss the sound of a theatre full of people cackling so loud I occasionally missed a joke. I’ve missed comedy, and this was a really good one.

I’ll admit, I was wary of a Naked Gun reboot. I love the original movies (even the much-maligned third), but it’s been a while since anyone did a laugh-a-minute spoof like this. That said, director Akiva Schaffer turned out to be the right guy to tackle the formula.

Edward Saatchi isn’t sure if people will rush to use Showrunner, the new AI-powered TV show platform his company is launching this week. But Amazon seems confident in the idea , they have invested in Saatchi’s startup, Fable, based in San Francisco.

The service is now open to the public after months of private testing and support from some big names, including Amazon, which has invested in the company.

And it damn well better be. The original “Naked Gun” movies, like “Police Squad!” (the short-lived TV series they spun out of), were high-powered machine guns that used gags for ammo. They took self-serious police dramas and roasted them on a high heat until they got thoroughly burned. That’s the trick with these gag movies. The best ones skewer a genre that typically has no sense of humor of its own. Shows about law and order have been earnest, shameful copaganda for about as long as television has existed.
