In 1999, Morais not only became the first Canadian to win the
prestigious Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting, but the first to win a
fellowship with a resubmitted script. Her fellowship winning script
"Bleeding" was a finalist in 1998, and was resubmitted the following
year...virtually unchanged.
