Fashion designer and actress Masaba Gupta, who has lent her voice to Lisa Cartwright in Marvel’s ‘Westlanders: Black Widow’, has opened up on the audio format of storytelling, and said it’s a lot more taxing and challenging.
The Hindi Audible Original podcast series ‘Marvel’s Wastelanders: Black Widow’ features Kareena Kapoor Khan as the voice of Black Widow/Helen Black, Masaba as Lisa Cartwright, Vihaan Samat as Jordan Temple, Adah Sharma as Yelena Belova, Nitu Chandra as Judy Kratz and Aditi Bhatia as K.I.M.
Talking to Ians, Masaba said she found this medium intriguing because for her audio typically follows the video format of something.
“But this was new because you are building the world through audio. And it’s a lot more taxing and challenging because it’s not like people can lean on the visual to understand something. I found it challenging also because there was no reference.

We'd like to forget all about the last attempt at a live-action Masters of The Universe movie. Sorry, Dolph! Great hair, though.
Welcome back to another edition of Fantasy Fridays, where two real-life best friends (Jeremy Scully and I, Mario-Francisco Robles) get together to cast/pitch our dream movies.
In the past, we've tackled everything from The Batman to the Universal Monsters.
This week, we turn our attention towards the long-gestating cinematic reboot of Masters of The Universe. Jeremy and I grew up on the classic 80s cartoon, and I had a ton of the old action figures. Yet even we knew, as children, that the 1987 movie starring Dolph Lundgren was crap. That's why we'd like to put our own spin on what the reboot should look/feel like.
Over the years, many filmmakers and various studios have tried and failed to get a Masters of The Universe movie off of the ground.

A few days back, Bollywood Hungama had reported about how, a day after Udta Punjab's trailer got released, Neetu Chandra wrote an open letter to Alia Bhatt, wherein she had written "It's disturbing to see the way Biharis have been portrayed in Hindi cinema over the last few years, the recent example being Alia Bhatt's character from 'Udta Punjab' and from whatever one understands from the promo of the film, director Abhishek Chaubey is guilty of strengthening the stereotype of Biharis by creating Bhatt's character the way it is, in 'Udta Punjab'." While Alia Bhatt did not respond then, recently, when she was asked about Neetu Chandra and her open letter, she said she felt that anybody could make assumptions based on what they saw in the trailer. She added that while one always made assumptions before seeing the full film, the trailer was just a tease or hint.

Designer Nishka Lulla is all set to tie the knot with businessman Dhruv Mehra in Bangkok, Thailand. Before jetting off to the destination wedding, the duo hosted a brunch in Mumbai for family and friends. Not only is Nishka herself a well-known name within the fraternity, she also has a long-lasting relationship with the fraternity, given that mum Neeta Lulla is also a designer, and a National Award winning one at that! The event had attendees in a mix of Western and Indian attires. Given that it was a pre-wedding brunch, it was also hard to judge what should have been the dress code.
Nishka Lulla
The bride-to-be sported a design by her mother. If you know Nishka’s style, you know she’s an ultra girly-girl, so the fact that she went all out in this light pink princess-gown came as no surprise. Seems like the event actually had a Disney/Fairytale theme,...

Whilst the winners of Life Ok Screen Awards aren’t aspects of the show we want to particularly discuss, for obvious reasons, the fashion on the red carpet was!
Aditi Rao Hydari
Hi-lows have been done to death yet we find celebrities very boldly still opting for them. This one was an especially blunt hi-low gown by Falguni and Shane Peacock that Aditi opted for. She works the gown well but the styling is all a bit lost.
Verdict: Could be hotter
Alia Bhatt
The gown of choice was not the issue with Alia however the styling of the satin crepe strapless Prabal Gurung gown was. Not quite sure what that hair is meant to be. Also not feeling the makeup. What a shame as this could have been a winning look!

The year seems to have flashed by us! Here we are yet again eager to see the red carpet events unfold one after another as Bollywood gears up for another season of awards. Kick starting the season was Sansui Stardust Awards which is known for honouring the new and upcoming talents of the industry. The red carpet on the night so some yays and some major nays. Neutrals seems to be the shade of the night with only a few stepping it out boldly in brighter color schemes.
Amrita Rao
She’s a rare sighting and unfortunately doesn’t always choose attires that do justice to her. She Schön by Sakshee Pradhan gown. The gown itself has featured quite well on the ramp on Anushka and in catalogue shoots however Miss Rao didn’t let the gown reach its potential by opting for a very run-of-the-mill styling.

Chennai, March 10: Actress Neetu Chandra, who recently made her stage debut with the theatrical adaptation of "Umrao Jaan", says not too many actors show interest in theatre because they cannot make a living out of it.
"I think money has overshadowed theatre in our country. Not just theatre but a lot of professions for that matter because we view everything from a commercial perspective. You can be in theatre out of passion, but can't make a living out of it because cinema pays much more," Neetu told Ians.
Neetu, who has so far starred in films such as "Traffic Signal" and "13 B", has two Hindi films and a Telugu ready.

Who knew that a Whwn for the Screen Awards would be Bs’s most lengthy fashion feature in a long time! And outstanding turn out with fashionistas bringing their best, and sometimes their worst, to the red carpet. Read on for a full fashion low down for the evening!
1. Nimrat Kaur
It was a blue embellished Amit Gt gown for Nimrat for the awards night. I truly want to like this look, but the gown itself, especially the neckline cut, is stopping me from doing so. What I do love is the hair and makeup. Lets hope Nimrat fares better at the next awards show.

2. Sona Mohapatra
One to always stick to her unique style, Sona did it no different for Screens. The Payal Khandwala combo worked in concept and definitely on the ramp, but sadly the way the top was worn made it look like our beloved...

Mumbai, Nov 12: Write-ups suggesting that actor Randeep Hooda, once a very close friend of actress Neetu Chandra, showed up at the Prithvi Theatres to witness her stage debut as "Umrao Jaan" for old times' sake, has her fuming.
"This isn't what I want to be known for. I don't want my moment of glory to be diluted by talks about whom I am seeing or whom I am broken up with," said the actress of films like "Traffic Signal" and "Garam Masala".
"My stage debut doesn't need such props. There were so many senior theatre artistes present for my stage debut like Benjamin Gilani, Kunal Kapoor, Om Puri, Nida Fazli, Javed Siddiqui.

Rekha Bhardwaj, who is known for her rustic voice in the hit tracks like 'Namak' etc... is now all set to take the plunge into music direction with Prithvi's play 'Umrao Jaan', wherein Neetu Chandra will be playing the title role. And she has already composed four songs for the same. Talking about her foray in music direction, Rekha says that this was not at all a planned move. It was at the persistence of the director Hidayat Sami, that she created some tunes for the play. An initially reluctant Rekha later gave her nod for the same. The first show of the play 'Umrao Jaan' is scheduled for November 7.

She’s never in one place for very long, and Freida Pinto was spotted catching a flight at Heathrow International Airport in London, England today (September 5).
Sporting a black t-shirt, jeans, and ballet flats, the “Slumdog Millionaire” starlet was headed to the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend.
And it sounds like Freida has inspired “Home Sweet Home” star Neetu Chandra to look beyond her Bollywood roots.
Chandra told press, "Today, we stand as global actors. There is nothing like that an actor should do, Bollywood film or a Hollywood film. What is Priyanka doing? Look at her, she is an inspiration. Look at Freida Pinto... so today we are global actors you cannot just sit here and think of only Hindi films.”...

Mumbai, June 25: Actress Neetu Chandra has been moving around in a burqa these days, and she finds the experience "liberating".
The actress, seen in movies like "Traffic Signal", "Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!" and "13B", has to travel in auto-rickshaws here these days since her car has gone for repair. It will take a fortnight for her to get her car back, but the over-enthusiastic reception from cab and auto drivers has forced Neetu to take refuge under the burqa.
"I'm enjoying the liberating experience of walking on the roads unrecognised," said Neetu.
She is contemplating the idea of wearing a burqa "even after my car comes.

Film: "Settai"; Cast: Arya, Premgi Amaren, Santhanam, Hansika Motwani, Anjali, Nassar, Ali, Neetu Chandra and Mano Bala; Director: R. Kannan; Rating: **1/2
"Settai", the Tamil remake of Hindu adult-comedy "Delhi Belly" has its moments of laughter to look forward to, but it definitely misses the soul of the original.
As much as I tried not to compare the film with its original, there are instances in the film where you automatically revisit the Hindi version. In an attempt to do justice to the original, "Settai" fails to innovate and gives audiences more reasons not to like it even when it desperately attempts to entertain in an exercise it partly succeeds in.
The story takes us through the escapades of three friends,.

Film: "Ameerin Aadhi-Bhagavan"; Actors: Jayam Ravi, Neetu Chandra, Sudha Chandran, Saiju Kurup, Baby Antony, Karuna and Sakshi Sivanand; Director: Ameer Sultan; Rating: ***
One recurring question that constantly keeps ringing in our heads as we watch "Ameerin Aadhi-Bhagavan" is that why did Ameer spend nearly three years on this project. The answer to this question lies in the execution (read writing) of this film, but not in its making. It may come across as just another mistaken identity international thriller, but with deft writing, Ameer makes it an engaging watch with extended running time. Finally, does "Ameerin Aadhi-Bhagavan" live up to all the hype it created? Partially yes, but there are far too many lose ends left unattended.
