‘Never Open the Door’ Review
Stars: Jessica Sonneborn, Deborah Venegas, Kristina Page, Matt Aidan, Mike Wood, George Troester, Steven Richards | Written by Vito Trabucco, Chris Maltauro | Directed by Vito Trabucco

Even before they were popularised by Scream‘s slasher movie obsessive Randy, most of us were aware of the ‘rules’ of populating a horror movie. Don’t have sex. Don’t smoke weed. Don’t go off alone. And for heaven’s sake, stay away from Indian burial grounds. Lest we give Randy all the credit though, some horror movies have been giving away the rules for years – and in their title, no less.

Don’t Look Now, Don’t Go Near the Park, Don’t Hang Up, Don’t Go in the Woods, Don’t Open Till Christmas, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark (a somewhat ironic title, that), Don’t Go To Sleep… this naming convention was (and is) popular enough to...

‘Never Open the Door’ to Vito Trabucco’s latest horror
Maltauro Entertainment in association with Baumant Entertainment has announced the December 6th Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD release of Never Open the Door; the latest film from writer/director Vito Trabucco – the genius behind the awesome slasher movie Bloody Bloody Bible Camp. Along with writer/producer Christopher Maltauro the pair have created a chilling homage to the twisted and otherworldly tales of the original Twilight Zone, Outer Limits and Alfred Hitchcock Presents series.

Three happy couples retreat to a cozy secluded cabin in the woods to enjoy Thanksgiving. A badly wounded stranger appears at the door, and when they let him in, he throws up blood and collapses on the floor. As he dies, he points towards the lovers and croaks his final words: “Never open the door”. The dumbfounded group of friends start to panic as one of their own inexplicably disappears. Doubt rises by the minute and mistrust soaks through the cabin.

Thanks for taking the time to answer some questions for us, Jessica. How did you come up with the idea for your new film, The Haunting of Alice D?

Jessica Sonneborn: I wanted to create a “cabin in the woods” style horror movie with a major twist that made it unique from other films like it. I was trying to think of something that could be done on a shoestring budget, but that also had some depth to it.

Get High on Revenge With Crack Whore
What grabs you about a movie? Sometimes it's a kick-ass trailer that simply blows you away with awesome imagery and a peek into an amazing story. Sometimes it's the poster, a simple one-sheet that ropes you in, like the iconic Jaws poster or some of the creative shots for the Saw films. But sometimes all it takes is the title. That's definitely the case in Lance Polland's new film, Crack Whore.

There's not much that needs to be said after that title. You know it's going to be a hot mess of violence, blood and debauchery with a title like Crack Whore, and Polland assures us that's exactly what he delivers.

The veteran of such films as Bloody Bloody Bible Camp (featuring everyone's favorite hedgehog Ron Jeremy) and Slices, Polland has seen his share of blood and boobs. He is credited as writer and director on this project.

Crack Whore stars Julianne Tura,...
