Walton Goggins Confirms 'Fallout' Season 2 Has Begun Shooting
Image
Get ready to crawl out through the fallout once again, as Walton Goggins revealed production is officially underway on Fallout Season 2. While his co-stars, Ella Purnell and Aaron Moten, got to wear comfy vault suits and fly around in high-tech, fusion-powered power armor, Goggins was buried under an intense layer of prosthetics to turn him into The Ghoul. Due to mutations in his DNA caused by extreme radiation, The Ghoul has wandered the wasteland for over 200 years, and transformed into a vicious killer. Goggins gave an intense performance as the ghoulish bounty hunter in Season 1, and he's back to do it all again in Season 2, because, as any Fallout fan will tell you... war never changes.

Walton Goggins took to Instagram to share the good news. The actor posted a photo from the make-up chair, as the incredible prosthetics team were applying The Ghoul's face over his own. Teasing one side of his face,...

Prime Video's ambitious adaptation of Fallout has impressed critics and viewers alike, and the video game series is already renewed for season 2. The show is adapted from the video game franchise of the same name by Bethesda, which follows an unnamed traveler in a Cold War pastiche nuclear post-apocalyptic wasteland. Though the game description seems rather simple, it is the tremendous lore and exhilarating RPG action that made Fallout so beloved, and the retrofuturistic style was ripe for adaptation into a TV show or movie.

Quickly becoming one of the most highly-anticipated gaming adaptations when Amazon Prime Video announced they were tackling Bethesda's crown jewel, each successive update only heightened the Fallout fan hysteria. When the show finally arrived in April 2024, Fallout more than lived up to expectations and delivered a faithful recreation of the unique game that earned high marks from critics. Even before the 8-episode first season premiered,...

Fallout Ending Explained: How That Episode 8 Cliffhanger Sets Up Season 2
Image
This Fallout article contains spoilers.

No, it’s not a TV version of Fallout 5 or an adaptation of any one game in the franchise, but the Amazon series is set in the same timeline as the games, so its big twists and reveals pack an absolute punch for fans up to speed with Fallout lore. Through eight episodes, we follow Lucy (Ella Purnell), Maximus (Aaron Moten), and The Ghoul/Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) as they uncover the mysteries of Vault-Tec and the Wastelanders who attacked Vault 33 at the start of the season. While they initially set out on their own quests, their paths all converge by the end, as a MacGuffin hunt turns into something much bigger that will affect the future of the Fallout series for years to come.

Whether we see that future play out in a season 2 of the series or a future video game, there’s...

‘Fallout’ Series Ending Explained: What Happens To Moldaver’s Cold Fusion Reactor?
Image
It has been quite a while since video game franchises broke free of the curse of live-action adaptations, and Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout franchise is the latest one to find success in that regard. With the recently released TV series adaptation produced by Amazon Studios, Fallout has managed to create a separate narrative posited further into the lore’s future timeline, thereby expanding the established narrative.

The mastermind behind much-loved long-running game series like Fallout and Elder Scrolls of Bethesda, Todd Howard, had been involved in the creative brainstorming behind the live-action series. The decision to take a separate route from the original saga by creating a new storyline was his idea as well. The implementation of the idea was successful, as the core themes of Fallout are captured perfectly through a seamless tie-in of multiple subplots and a central plotline. As the first season of Fallout neared its end, the...

Fallout Cast & Character Guide
Image
A star-studded cast brings Fallout's characters and wasteland to life. The post-apocalyptic world of Fallout is shaped by a nuclear war over 200 years earlier. The show's main three characters are played by Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, and Walton Goggins, with many more actors in supporting roles.

It takes an all-star cast of actors to bring the characters and wasteland of Fallout to life, and the show luckily has just that. Fallout is based on the series of video games of the same name. Though it will likely make multiple changes to its source material, the Fallout show still boasts an intricate world rich with lore. Such a complicated world with such a long backstory needs compelling characters to work.

The main factor affecting the world of Fallout is its apocalypse, as the wasteland was created by a nuclear war over 200 years before the Fallout show takes place. In the wake of that nuclear destruction,...
