Knut Kiesewetter was born on 13 September 1941 in Stettin, Pomerania, Germany [now Szczecin, Zachodniopomorskie, Poland]. He was an actor, known for Massacre of Pleasure (1966), Songs, Chansons, Lieder (1966) and Folk & Musik (1985). He was married to Regine. He died on 28 December 2016 in Garding, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany.

He taught at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg.

As a songwriter, his songs were recorded by Gitte Haenning and Eartha Kitt, among others.

He issued his first single at the age of 19.

He became very popular throughout the 1970s with his songs in Low German, such as &quot;Fresenhof&quot; and &quot;De Möhl&quot;.

He began his career in the age of 14, playing trombone and singing.
