This “Confident, Violent” Ghost Story is One of the Year’s Best—Now It’s Streaming
Image
Dating is one of the scariest things in the world. Yes, it’s beautiful and soul-stirring when it works out right and you meet that one special person, but the gauntlet to get there is unbearable. Beyond the social awkwardness and need to self-disclose and be yourself, there’s also that nagging feeling that you’re making yourself so vulnerable to someone you likely don’t know at all.

The horror genre has naturally had a field day extrapolating the worst dating nightmares you can think of. Fresh took dating to cannibalistic extremes, and Cat Person adapted a famous short story with an added slasher twist. Audition is a certified classic, and even the recent release F Marry Kill has fun suggesting your latest online sweetheart might be a serial killer. One of the freshest examples I’ve seen lately brings all the horror, but just as much heartache. It...

Daredevil: Born Again - It Looks Like Another Netflix Series Character Has Been Confirmed For Season 2
Image
After playing a key role in the original Netflix Daredevil series - as well as Jessica Jones and The Punisher - fans were surprised not to see Detective Sergeant Brett Mahoney return for Daredevil: Born Again.

Mahoney was determined to remain honest in a department full of dirty cops, and even though he was against Daredevil's (Charlie Cox) vigilante methods, he aided Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson in their cases and ultimately came to see the Man Without Fear as a force for good.

Mahoney was instrumental in putting Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) behind bars towards the end of season 3.

Now, fitness coach Naqam Washington has pretty much confirmed that actor Royce Johnson will reprise the role for season 2 of Born Again, which recently wrapped production in New York.

‘The Ice Tower’ Takes Top Prize at Neuchatel Fantastic Festival
Image
Lucile Hadzihalilovic’s fractured fairy-tale “The Ice Tower” took top honors at this year’s Neuchatel International Fantastic Film Festival (Nifff), claiming the festival’s H.R. Giger “Narcisse” prize alongside the Imaging the Future prize for best production design.

Toplined by Marion Cotillard alongside colorful character turns from Gaspar Noé and August Diehl, the 1970s-set film follows a young orphan who falls into an hypnotic and soon reciprocated obsession with a film star shooting an adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Snow Queen.”

“All my films are fairy-tales,” Hadzihalilovic told Variety ahead of her film’s world premiere in Berlin. “I don’t care to situate my stories in an everyday reality or a contemporary timeframe; whereas the storybook form comes naturally, allowing for poetry and escape.”

Krysten Ritter Teases Her "Gritty" Return As Jessica Jones In Daredevil: Born Again Season 2
Image
Earlier this year, we finally got confirmation that Krysten Ritter will be reprising her role as Jessica Jones for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and the actress has now teased her return as the hard-drinking Pi during an interview with Screen Rant.

As you might expect, Ritter didn't get into plot details, simply noting that she is "thrilled to be back in Jessica's boots. There's more story for her and it's really exciting."

"Oh, it's gritty," she added. "It feels big too. The crew's amazing. I've had an amazing experience. I can't say anything, but I love being with Charlie [Cox]. It was as if no time had passed. Like, my first day, I was looking around like we're back. But juxtaposing it with Mia [her Dexter Resurrection character] and Jessica has been really creatively fulfilling for me as an artist and just what a big, big banner year I'm having. I...

Image
Well, it looks like that might be it for Daredevil: Born Again set photos for a while. Showrunner Dario Scardapane has taken to Instagram to confirm that shooting has wrapped on the upcoming second season. Reshoots are always possible, but it will now move into post-production.

As for a potential season 3, that's been talked about but isn't likely to be confirmed until Disney+ sees how the second batch of episodes performs.

Here's what Scardapane had to say about wrapping shooting on Daredevil: Born Again season 2:

"And that is a Wrap on Season 2 of Daredevil Born Again. Thank you to all who made this something truly special. Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, Deborah Ann Woll,...

Vincent D’Onofrio Hints at ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Season 3 — Says Plans Are in Place
Image
Marvel’s Daredevil: Born Again is moving forward with its second season, and there’s already a lot going on behind the scenes. The first season brought back some of the same energy from the old Netflix series, and fans were happy to see familiar faces like Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.

Deborah Ann Woll returned as Karen Page, and Elden Henson came back as Foggy Nelson. There were some new characters too, helping connect the Netflix shows (known as the Defenderverse) with the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The first season was supposed to be 18 episodes long, but that plan changed. Instead, Marvel decided to break it up into two parts. The second season is now confirmed and will premiere in March 2026 with eight episodes. Marvel says this season will be part of Phase Six of the MCU.

Jon Bernthal’s Punisher is also getting his own special.

New ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ BTS Photo Teases Brutal Side of Kingpin
Image
A new behind-the-scenes photo of Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin has just dropped, and it’s got Marvel fans buzzing. The image, shared by D’Onofrio himself on social media, shows him in Kingpin’s signature white suit, but what really grabbed everyone’s attention were his hands. They’re covered in blood, hinting at some seriously violent moments ahead in Daredevil: Born Again.

It’s not totally clear whether this photo is from Season 1 or the upcoming Season 2, but either way, it adds fuel to the idea that things are about to get darker and more intense. Fans already saw signs of a more brutal direction when Season 1 ended.

New Kingpin BTS Photo From Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Hints That Things Will Get Real Ugly and Violent
Image
Marvel fans have been treated to a new look at Vincent D’Onofrio’s return as Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin, in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2. The actor recently shared a new image on social media, showcasing his iconic white suit, and what appear to be severely bloody hands.

If this scene makes it into the final cut, it wouldn’t be surprising. Everything so far points to a more savage Kingpin and a more brutal Daredevil, especially considering how Born Again Season 1 ended.

However, it’s worth noting that it’s unclear whether this behind-the-scenes photo is from Season 1 or Season 2.

Charlie Cox on Long-Awaited Daredevil Suit Change Missing from ‘Born Again’ Season 1: “We Finally Got There”
Image
After years of fans asking for it, Daredevil is finally getting his classic “Dd” logo on his suit. The update will show up in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and fans are already excited.

Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock, will now wear a costume that’s more faithful to the comic books, something fans have wanted since the original Netflix show.

New videos from the set showed a much clearer look at the updated suit. Unlike earlier blurry photos, this time the red “Dd” letters are easy to see on the black costume. The footage also showed a scene being filmed at Josie’s Bar, with Daredevil entering the bar in the middle of a fight. While it’s not clear who he’s fighting, it could be a returning villain.

Charlie Cox on Iconic Daredevil Suit Update That’s Been Missing in ‘Born Again’ Season 1: “We Finally Got There”

Daredevil fans have been waiting a long time to see the famous “Dd” logo on Matt Murdock’s chest, and it looks like the wait is finally over. After years of complaints that the original Netflix series left out this key detail, Marvel Studios has finally given Charlie Cox’s Daredevil the iconic emblem in the upcoming second season of Daredevil: Born Again.

Previously leaked set photos show Cox, or more likely his stunt double, wearing a black version of the suit that reminded fans of the Shadowlands comic storyline. Those first pictures were blurry and taken from far away, so it was hard to tell if the red “Dd” letters were actually there.

But then videos have surfaced online, giving us a much clearer look. This time, there’s no doubt about it: the logo is there, and it’s front and center on the costume.

‘Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma’ Cff Review – A Hilariously Chaotic Revenge Caper
Image
If you’re a fan of Justin Benson & Aaron Moorhead’s mind-bending universe, you will recognize actor Shane Brady from films like The Endless and Synchronic. But he is also a talented filmmaker. In 2022, Brady’s directorial debut, Breathing Happy, a weird, wonderful journey through grief and recovery, had its World Premiere at Chattanooga Film Festival. Brady is back for Cff 2025 with his sophomore feature film, the hilariously riotous Hacked: A Double Entendre of Rage Fueled Karma, which he wrote and directed, and believe it or not, it’s based on a true story.

In 2021, Brady and his wife Emily were planning to buy their first house but were, unfortunately, the victims of a hacker who stole their $20,000 deposit via wire fraud. So, they decided to make a movie about the experience with the log line, “The first ten minutes of this film are based on true events. The rest...

Daredevil: Born Again Editor Says Marvel "Told Us Not To Watch The Netflix Show" Prior To Overhaul
Image
We already knew that Daredevil: Born Again was shaping up to be a very different show prior to the much-discussed creative overhaul, but it sounds like original showrunners Matt Corman and Chris Ord (and likely some studio higher-ups) were more determined to distance the Disney+ revival from its Netflix predecessor than we realized.

While speaking to Awards Radar, editor Stephanie Filo revealed that she and others who worked on the show were told not to watch Netflix's Daredevil.

“The original take on it was to lean away from the Netflix Daredevil show. They actually told us not to watch the Netflix show, because they didn’t want to affect how we were editing it. Once we restructured everything and figured out we would do a different take on it, we dove back into the Netflix side of things. We were able to use temp music from that Netflix series, and...

Kelsey Pribilski getting her make-up done on the set of Man Finds Tape

Paul Gandersman and Peter Hall's directorial feature debut, the fictional horror documentary Man Finds Tape, revolves around documentarian Lynn Page (Kelsey Pribilski), who returns to her family home in Larkin, Texas after receiving a cryptic phone call from her brother Lucas (William Magnuson). The discovery of mysterious video footage, Lucas' viral web series Man Finds Tape and inexplicable questions about a tragic event recorded in the small community, thrusts the siblings down a rabbit hole. Meanwhile, the pair confront an evil that has been preying for decades on their small town.

Prior to writing Man Finds Tape, with the support of Rustic Films' Justin Benson, Aaron Moorhead and David Lawson Jr, Gandersman and Hall published the horror novel The Dead Friends Society, about the victims of a masked killer whose spirits are trapped in a house,...

How ‘American Primeval,’ ‘Daredevil’ and ‘The Last of Us’ Pulled Off Some of the Year’s Biggest Stunt-Filled Action Set Pieces
Image
The year is 1857. A woman is sitting in a meadow in southern Utah Territory, casually explaining her plans to settle in the Salt Lake Valley, when she’s cut off mid-sentence by a pointed object that bursts from her forehead with a bone-cracking crunch. She remains upright for a moment — silent, eyes open and blood oozing from her wound — then falls over dead, revealing the long shaft of an arrow lodged in the back of her skull.

The next two-plus-minutes of Netflix’s “American Primeval” are a dizzying display of nonstop mayhem. The sky is instantly filled with flying arrows, falling victims right and left, as attackers on horseback and on foot zoom in and out frame, shooting, stabbing, scalping and engaging in hand-to-hand combat. The camera snakes through the action, capturing a succession of brutal deaths (including the shooting of a minor character played by director Peter Berg), always...

Tribeca Film Festival 2025 Review: Man Finds Tape is a Creepy and Impressive Faux-Doc Debut
Image
Man Finds Tape is a faux-documentary horror show like many others…at first. A man finds a tape (duh) and begins chronicling his investigation into strange happenings, ultimately descending into supernatural madness—but familiarity is short-lived. Writers and directors Paul Gandersman and Peter S. Hall have concocted an Eldritchian ode to The X-Files or Supernatural episodes with a backroads Texas twist. It’s cryptic creepypasta for the YouTube generation, delving into an online conspiracy world of Reddit hoaxes and fraudulent celebrities. On a meager budget and with clever ideas, Man Finds Tape introduces viewers to the chaos of actually finding the truths you seek.

Everything starts when Lucas Page (William Magnuson), a nobody from Larkin, Texas, finds an ominous tape in his childhood barn. He gains notoriety after starting a YouTube series about the tape, which gains overnight popularity. The more comments he receives, the more attention he gets, the more worrisome his videos become.

Daredevil: Born Again Directors Breaks Down Daredevil's Epic Punisher Team-Up: "What He's Doing Is Wrong"
Image
In Daredevil: Born Again's season 1 finale, The Punisher returns and helps the Man Without Fear fend off an attack from Mayor Fisk's Anti-Vigilante Task Force. What followed was a brutal, unforgiving battle.

Matt Murdock plays two roles in the fight; as well as squaring off with Fisk's dirty cops, the vigilante does what he can to stop Frank Castle from murdering them in cold blood. After all, "Red" has a code to live by.

Talking to Variety, Daredevil: Born Again co-director Aaron Moorhead said, "You could call it a team-up, but you’ll notice that they’re not actually doing teamwork because there’s a bit of a philosophical problem between them."

Fellow co-director Justin Benson added, "Despite the fact that we’re doing this philosophy of kill, don’t kill, that does not translate into cool fight, uncool fight. That’s some of the coolest fighting I’ve ever seen Daredevil do.

'Daredevil: Born Again' Originally Had Ties to the McU's Multiverse
Image
Daredevil: Born Againfocuses on the gritty, grounded story of Matt Murdock and his ongoing confrontation with Wilson Fisk, now Mayor of New York, expanding on the events of the original Daredevil show on Netflix, but the Disney+ series nearly turned out to be something entirely different. Charlie Cox has revealed that an earlier version of Daredevil: Born Again leaned more into the realm of the fantastical, with ties to the McU's multiverse and a storyline that featured "variants" of Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page.

During a recent appearance on Deadline's Crew Call podcast, Cox spoke candidly about some of the ideas that were on the table before Daredevil: Born Again underwent a significant creative overhaul. He explained that Marvel originally wanted the series to "be a reset," building on the ideas presented in the Disney+ series Loki, which is more of a sci-fi fantasy adventure. He then revealed...

Daredevil: Born Again - Mike Colter Seemingly Teases His Return As Luke Cage As Dd's Army Takes Shape
Image
Season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again is still filming in New York, and both Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Finn Jones (Danny Rand/Iron Fist) recently confirmed that they are currently in the Big Apple via respective social media posts.

Now, Colter has shared a more direct hint that he may be set to return as Luke Cage for the second season of the Disney+ revival series by posting an image of his character to his Instagram Stories.

We know that Krysten Ritter will be back as Jessica Jones, so it only makes sense that the Man Without Fear (Charlie Cox) would enlist more of his fellow Defenders for back-up.

After Mayor Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) declared martial law with the help of his anti-vigilante task force in the season 1 finale, Matt Murdock decided to fight back by assembling a team of his own. The line-up was lacking a bit of muscle,...

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Set Photo Reveals Marvel's New White Tiger
Image
Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) claimed he needed an "army" in the season finale of "Daredevil: Born Again," and it would appear he's getting one. Marvel Studios' first full-fledged effort to combine the old Netflix universe of superheroes with their ongoing cinematic universe was more or less a success (as you can read in my mixed review for /Film here), setting the stage for even more street-level action. The debut season ended with the villainous Mayor Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) fully in control of New York City, enacting martial law, and declaring war on vigilantes everywhere. Our scrappy heroes found themselves on the defensive, barely scrounging together enough holdouts to pose a threat to his Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Luckily, all signs are pointing to a familiar face joining their ranks.

Season 2 of "Born Again" may be bringing (some of) the Defenders back into the thick of things, but don't sleep...

Krysten Ritter has been spotted on the set of Daredevil: Born Again season 2
Charlie Cox in Daredevil: Born Again (2025)
The nine episode first season of the Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again has already come and gone (you can read our review Here), but the good news is, season 2 started filming at the end of February and we already know when it’s going to premiere! Showrunner Dario Scardapane recently took to social media to confirm that Daredevil: Born Again season 2 will premiere in March 2026. A couple of weeks ago, it was announced that Krysten Ritter will be reprising the role of Jessica Jones (from the appropriately titled Marvel / Netflix series Jessica Jones) in Daredevil: Born Again season 2, and now Ritter has already been spotted on the set! You can see footage of Ritter filming a scene with a fully costumed Daredevil in the embed below.

Although the initial plan was to rework some elements and make Daredevil: Born Again stand separate from the Netflix Daredevil series (despite sharing some...

Daredevil: Born Again Is The Only Live-Action MCU Series Not To Make Nielsen's Top 10 Streaming Chart
Image
Though the show certainly had its share of detractors, Daredevil: Born Again was a big hit with critics (87% on Rotten Tomatoes), and seemed to be embraced by the majority of fans as one of Marvel's better Disney+ efforts.

We had also been led to believe that the Man Without Fear's revival series did pretty good numbers for the streaming service, but this doesn't seem to be the case.

Daredevil: Born Again has become the first live-action Marvel Studios series not to make Nielsen's Top 10 Original Streaming Shows List. The only other Marvel streaming titles to fail to find their way onto the list were animated.

Born Again is also the second live-action MCU Disney+ show not to make Nielsen's overall top 10 after Secret Invasion.

There are likely a number of factors involved with the show failing to find a bigger audience, but Born Again was unusually violent for a Marvel series,...

Daredevil: Born Again Set Photos Reveal First Look At Krysten Ritter As The Returning Jessica Jones
Image
We recently got confirmation that Krysten Ritter would be making her return as Jessica Jones for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, and the actress was spotted filming scenes alongside co-star Charlie Cox in these latest set photos.

Miss Jones hasn't updated her wardrobe since we last saw her on Netflix, and is still rocking the signature blue jeans and leather jacket combo. Cox, meanwhile, is sporting the Man Without Fear's back costume with the red "Dd" chest logo.

The Defenders had its share of issues, but the often contentious relationship between Jones and Daredevil was a definite highlight, so it should be interesting to revisit their dynamic in the MCU.

Check out the photos at the links below.

Daredevil: Born Again Star Charlie Cox On Potential Big-Screen Return & [Spoiler]'s Death
Image
By now, we're sure the majority of you have seen Daredevil: Born Again, but just in case, here's your spoiler warning.

Matt Murdock's long-time friend and partner Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) was assassinated by Bullseye in the pilot episode, prompting Murdock to hang up the horns... until he's compelled to suit-up again to battle crime and corruption in New York City later on in the season.

The decision to kill off such a beloved character did not sit well with some fans, but Cox believes it was necessary to "shake things up" a bit and give the story some genuine stakes.

"The awful thing that happens in Born Again, that was the gift for me as the actor, was the death of Foggy. I mean, tragic in terms of the show loses an element that, I think, was the heartbeat of Daredevil," said Cox during a new interview with SAG-AFTRA.

Will Luke Cage & Iron Fist Appear In Daredevil: Born Again Season 2? Social Media Posts Ignite Speculation
Image
After months of rumors and speculation, we recently got confirmation that Krysten Ritter will return as Jessica Jones for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again, but will the Man Without Fear (Charlie Cox) get some back up from the rest of his fellow Defenders?

Season 2 of the Disney+ revival series is still filming in New York, and both Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Finn Jones (Danny Rand/Iron Fist) have confirmed that they are currently in the Big Apple via respective social media posts (Colter also left a comment on Jones' photo).

Their posts don't actually include any Born Again hints or references and this could just be a complete coincidence, but this has prompted speculation that Colter and Jones might be set to reunite with Cox and Ritter in the MCU.

For what it's worth, The Cosmic Circus' Alex Perez says he does expect "all four Defenders to...

Punisher Special Presentation Starring Jon Bernthal Reportedly Casting For A Female Villain
Image
After leaving his ultra-violent fingerprints on Daredevil: Born Again, Frank Castle is set to return for his own Disney+ Punisher Special Presentation.

Star Jon Bernthal will co-write the script with his We Own This City director Reinaldo Marcus Green, who is also on board to helm the Special.

"It's like a shotgun blast of a story, but also has all the pathos and emotion that you want out of a Frank Castle story," Marvel's head of streaming Bard Winderbaum said after the project was made official. "It's so exciting."

Winderbaum went on to reveal that the idea for a Punisher standalone story manifested during production on Born Again, which saw Matt Murdock team-up with his old frenemy to take down members of Wilson Fisk's anti-vigilante task force.

"Bernthal is a generational actor," Winderbaum added. "He's incredible what he brings to all the roles he plays, but particularly Frank Castle.

Daredevil: Born Again - Krysten Ritter Shares "Superhero Training" Photo Alongside Charlie Cox
Image
After months of rumors and speculation, we recently got confirmation that Krysten Ritter will return as Jessica Jones for the second season of Daredevil: Born Again.

We're not sure if Ritter has actually begun filming her scenes just yet, but she has now taken to social media to share a BTS look at her "superhero training" alongside co-star Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock) and fitness trainer Naqam Washington.

"It's so great to be back, returning to Jessica after three seasons and The Defenders and now joining the MCU," Ritter said when her return was made official. "I'm so excited to bring back this iconic character, and without giving too much away, there is much more in store for Jessica Jones. This is going to be an incredible season!"

Following the events of the season 1 finale, we do have a pretty good idea why Jones will make her presence felt.

After Mayor...

Krysten Ritter Officially Set To Return As Jessica Jones In Daredevil Born Again Season 2
Image
Defenders... assemble! As you may recall, back in February we shared news that Marvel Studios were exploring a potential MCU comeback for the Defenders — namely Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and Jessica Jones, a trio of street-level heroes last seen on screen in Marvel television's pre-Disney+ Netflix era. Now, with Daredevil Born Again having successfully brought Charlie Cox's Man With No Fear back into the MCU fold, Disney has confirmed at its Upfront presentation today that Krysten Ritter will be back as Jessica Jones in the upcoming Daredevil Born Again Season 2.

Ritter took the stage with her The Defenders co-star Charlie Cox at New York's North Javits Centre to confirm the news, though the exact mechanics of her return to the role of Marvel's heavy drinking, hard hitting superhero-turned-private eye remain under lock and key for now. What we do know however is that it's been a long six years since we saw Jessica Jones,...

Charlie Cox Calls Fan-Favorite Marvel Crossover His Least Favorite ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Episode: ‘I Wasn’t Into It’
Image
“Daredevil: Born Again” star Charlie Cox revealed his least favorite episode of the Disney+ series’ first season — and it is not the one Marvel fans might expect.

In an interview published Tuesday with The Playlist, Cox revealed that the one episode of “Daredevil: Born Again” Season 1 that remained untouched after the series’ well-publicized creative overhaul was its fifth installment, “With Interest.” The episode follows Cox’s Matt Murdock as he stops a New York City bank heist and, in the process of doing so, saves Yusuf Khan (Mohan Kapur), the father of “Ms. Marvel” hero Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani).

“There was one episode we didn’t change at all. It’s the episode in the bank [“With Interest”], and that was part of the original [shoot],” Cox told The Playlist. “Just for my money, I wasn’t into it. I didn’t like it. It was my least favorite of the episodes, and...

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2: Everything We Know About The Next Chapter of the Marvel Television Series
Image
What Do We Know About the Upcoming season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again? More than you may think. The Disney+ series recently concluded its shocking and brutal first season with fans rabidly awaiting the next new chapter in Matt Murdock’s rebirth. From plot, casting news, and more, let’s dive in and take a look at what is coming up in season two of Daredevil: Born Again.

Where will season 2 pick up?

At the end of the first season, Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) fully embraced his Daredevil persona as Wilson Fisk instituted martial law in New York City and imprisoned all of his opponents. With the city under his control and The Punisher in a cage, Matt Murdock will lead an uprising and raise an army to fight back against the Mayor. The return of Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) aligns with Matt’s quest. At the same time, his girlfriend,...

Daredevil: Born Again Star Vincent D'Onofrio Calls Woke Agenda Criticisms "Absolute Nonsense"
Image
Though it does seem to be a small minority of fans, Marvel Television's Daredevil: Born Again has received backlash for propagating a "woke agenda." The main reasons for this seem to stem from the perception that the show is anti-conservative and anti-cop, while also sidelining established characters such as Foggy Nelson and Karen Page in favor of more diverse supporting players.

One fan is under the impression that season 2 of the Disney+ revival series is going to double-down on the wokeness, and tagged star Vincent D'Onofrio (Wilson Fisk) in an X post.

The actor was having none of it!

This is absolute nonsense," D'Onofrio replied. "We are not doubling down on any such thing. This statement is just not so. If there was any truth to it, i think I would know. We are telling Daredevil stories. We are not pushing any agenda other than making a Kick ass superhero drama.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ showrunner says Punisher’s fight with his cop fans was ‘a long time coming’
Image
The Season 1 finale of Daredevil: Born Again, which premiered last week on Disney+, did not feature a final showdown between Matt Murdock/Daredevil (Charlie Cox) and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio). That will have to wait for next time, as both main characters ended this season by assembling their respective teams and gearing up for a more protracted conflict. However, there was still plenty of bone-crunching action in the episode, thanks to the timely arrival of Frank Castle/Punisher (Emmy winner Jon Bernthal).

Bernthal’s Frank appeared earlier in the season, sporting a haggard beard and looking like he’d lost his grip. When the show was creatively retooled partway through production, with showrunner Dario Scardapane and directors Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead coming in to oversee the final episodes, redo the premiere, and stitch connective tissue throughout the season, they weren’t sure at first if Bernthal would participate.

Daredevil: Born Again Character Poster Spotlights Jon Bernthal As The Punisher
Image
With all nine episodes of Daredevil: Born Again now streaming on Disney+, Marvel Television has released what we assume will be the final character poster for the series, with Frank Castle, aka The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), getting the spotlight.

Castle didn't have a huge role in Born Again, but he certainly made an impact, teaming up with the Man Without Fear (Charlie Cox) in the finale to unleash hell on Kingpin's (Vincent D'Onofrio) Avtf.

Towards the end of "Straight to Hell," the Punisher decides to take on Mayor Wilson Fisk's forces alone. After brutally dispatching a number of corrupt cops, Castle is overwhelmed (whether he always planned to be captured is up for debate) and locked in one of Kingpin's holding cells.

In the post-credits sequence, Frank tricks his guard into approaching the cage before pulling his arm through the bars and snapping it. This will presumably facilitate Frank getting out of his cell,...

Daredevil: Born Again’s near-perfect season 1 is missing one major piece
Image
It might’ve taken seven years to get there, but finally, Charlie Cox has been able to continue his legacy as Daredevil in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Following the unceremonious cancellation of Netflix’s Daredevil series and the rest of the ‘Defenders’ shows, fans were left twiddling their thumbs and waiting for the rights to expire to see whether any of the old guard would leap into the MCU. Our prayers were answered when the Man Without Fear finally popped up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, with beefed-up appearances in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and Echo. Although 2021’s Hawkeye sowed the seeds of a full Daredevil revival, we had to wait until March 2025 for Daredevil: Born Again to be born again.

There was a time when no one was sure what was going to happen with Daredevil and the rest of the Defenders, and while it was always likely that...
