The 29th Busan International Film Festival has revealed the line-ups for its competitive New Currents and Jiseok sections, which include the latest features from award-winning filmmakers Brillante Mendoza, Rima Das and Tom Lin.
The Jiseok strand, launched in 2022, is reserved for Asian filmmakers who have directed at least three features and this year comprises eight titles.

Well Go USA Entertainment has announced that they will release “The Chef, The Actor and the Scoundrel” an action-comedy film directed by Hu Guan. The film stars Liu Ye (Curse of the Golden Flower), Zhang Han Yu (Special ID, Back to 1942) and Huang Bo (Lost in Thailand). This comedy/history/action movie is set in China during the Second Sino Japanese War.
The movie will be available on May 24th on DVD, Blu-ray and Digital formats but you can make your Pre-Order reservation on May 20th. Bonus material also includes a Blooper Reel and a Behind-The-Scenes video with the cast of the film.
