It's hard to believe that a show called That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime can be so compelling, but as any fan will tell you, the anime series is among the most popular titles of recent years. Even though the series is now on hiatus, fans have a good reason to celebrate this summer — Crunchyroll announced that Season 3 is finally getting a Blu-ray + DVD release. The release is scheduled for July 22.

Via Nintendo of America on YouTube, the sequel to 2020's Fairy Tail game, Fairy Tail 2, will be released in Winter 2024 on Nintendo Switch. The announcement was made at Nintendo Direct on June 18, 2024, alongside the new trailer. Fairy Tail 2 will adapt the "Alvarez Empire" arc, which served as the finale to the original Fairy Tail series. Crunchyroll announced that the English dub of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Visions of Coleus will be available for streaming on the platform from Dec 5, 2023, with all the three episodes releasing on the same day.

Streaming service Crunchyroll has just announced that Gundam: The Witch From Mercury will be receiving an English dub, and the cast has finally been revealed.

Gundam: The Witch From Mercury began airing in Japan in October 2022, and quickly began to garner praise. Crunchyroll announced on February 1, 2023, that the series would be receiving an English dub, set to premiere on Sunday, February 5. The series prologue "episode 0" has already been dubbed and is currently available to stream on Crunchyroll. Additionally, much of the cast has already been revealed, giving fans their first look at how some of these characters will be in English.

Or so Laura Bailey, the voice of Maka, tells us at the beginning of each episode of Soul Eater. While she doesn’t give us any details about the percentages of recommended daily allowances, we can tell you that Soul Eater, the latest hit series from Funimation, is 100% awesome.

If you’ve been to an anime convention in the last year or so, chances are you’ve already witnessed the phenomenon that is Soul Eater. Starting its tour of our shores as a manga serialized in Yen Press, the series went on to be collected into volumes, giving U.S. fans a taste of what the process is normally like in Japan as a title gains popularity. It exploded onto the con scene, with hundreds of cosplayers taking part in some of the biggest photo shoots I’ve ever seen.

It’s good to see that they’re still making robot shows. No, really, I mean it. I grew up on Voltron — it was the first anime I ever watched, even though I didn’t know it was anime at the time — and while mecha isn’t my personal favorite, I still have a fondness for the genre. I suppose it would be easy to argue that with so many giant robot series already out there, do we Really need another one? We have the classics, like Macross/Robotech, the prolific Gundam universe (which incidentally gave their name to a late publication that was highly respected in the anime industry — we still miss you, Newtype) and the quintessential Neon Genesis Evangelion, a serious contender for the title of best animated series of all time. With names like these already established as the cornerstones of the giant robot genre, what more...
